The project required disconnecting and capping the water lines; disconnecting and capping the gas line; capping the exhaust line; and removal and disposal of the tank. Len the Plumber quoted $1100. Jeff was able to complete the job for $450. Last month, while traveling out of town, my wife called to tell me the hot water tank was leaking. I gave her Jeff's number and asked he to call him, telling him that I would be back in town in early afternoon. Jeff and his apprentice met me at 3:30pm as arranged and replaced my tank within 90 minutes. It was relief to have a professional available for an 'emergency' that I could count upon to show up on time and take care of the problem immediately. Two days ago, Jeff came out and was able to quickly diagnose and repair a small gas line leak on my fireplace within a very short period of time. His work is always neat ,efficient, and reasonably priced. Lastly, when you call the number, Jeff is the person that answers... and he always answers his phone unless both hands are in a project at that moment.

An old cast iron sewage pipe cracked and was leaking into my basement and had to be replaced along with connections to upstairs toilets. The next day, Rob and Jaykri came to my rescue. They did the job under their own cost proposal and at a significantly lower price than a big-name competitor's proposal. Brian moved a schedule around to fit me in and got the job done in 1 day. (The other company could not even start until 3 days later) Rob and Jaykri even fixed a couple other odd plumbing issues (shower cartridges, broken valve knobs, etc.) while they were at my house. The Fluid Plumbing & Heating team were knowledgeable, professional, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. No one ever wants to need a plumber, but I am so happy to have them in my saved contacts. He did a quick dusting of the unit which hadn't been serviced in a while and even went to the roof as a part of his diagnosis. After sticking around for a couple hours trying to find the source of the problem, I was mentally preparing myself to pay a diagnosis and service fee, but there was no such thing. What signaled to me Ricardo was top notch was the fact that this man lives in Baltimore, easily a 50-minute commute from where I was in DC. He didn't leave until I was satisfied with his work until 930PM on a FRIDAY night. This type of service is difficult if not impossible to find. Ricardo patiently explained what the problem was, why I wouldn't have working AC after he would leave, and what my options were. He was very transparent with pricing, sent over a couple of quotes, and laid out what install schedules would look like depending on which manufacturer I went with.
