I brought my Rough Collie in for a bath and a simple sani-trim. For this breed, a sani-trim should…read morebe extremely minimal--just a light tidy around the sanitary area to keep long hair clean. Unfortunately, they went far beyond what was requested. Her entire underside was scissored from her stomach up to her chest, and her elbows were trimmed as well. This amounted to an unsolicited full haircut, which is something a Collie should never receive, as it can permanently damage the coat. If they had been familiar with the breed, they would have known not to trim her in this way. In addition, when we picked her up, her coat was still damp, tangled, and did not look conditioned. Her hair even appeared rough and broken, which is concerning given how delicate a Collie's double coat is. Overall, this was the poorest grooming experience we've ever had, and she would have been better off not being groomed at all. Collies require specific coat knowledge and gentle handling, and unfortunately this groomer did not demonstrate either. I would caution other Collie owners--and long-coated breed owners in general--to be aware of this before booking.

One of our dogs was also bleeding from a tumor the groomer nicked while shaving and seemed traumatized. The reason I'm posting this now is because one of our dogs' hair isn't growing back. We took her to the vet and another groomer and they confirmed that a groomer at this establishment cut her hair way to short for her breed. So even if it was just an accident made by a new groomer or something else, my dog is possibly permanently damaged hair wise on her back. So I feel like it's my duty to warn others just incase this happens to someone else.

We use to travel quite often, but luckily Val and Dave were always able to accommodate a place for Cassie during those days. It was such a relief to know she was able to stay in a loving home when separated from us. We were so lucky to find them all those years ago because they really are the best! Now that we're moving to the west coast, we're sad that Cassie won't get to stay with them again. Hopefully we'll be able to find someone just as good where we're moving, but Val and Dave's care will be hard to beat!

He was keeping us up at night, clicking around on the hardwood floor. She did a great job, and problem solved! Our dog Cooper (our collie mix) returned today from his first visit and he literally looks like a different dog. A much better looking different dog! Knowing that she probably endured multiple hours of his non-stop singing during the process makes it even more remarkable. We would definitely recommend Rachel for anyone in need of a top notch groomer!

Our dogs loved this place - my husband and I walked through the place initially and the larger…read moredogs were on one side of the area and little ones on the other side( the crates faced each other but far away from each other). All of the dogs have a play area and we were told our dogs played all the time! both of our dogs stayed in the same kennel (crate) for rest time and at night.
