I'd give it somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, it has pros and cons but overall a great choice within the options Sylvan Lake offers. Pros: - great location - MASSIVELY HUGE rooftop patio, would seat enormous numbers of people - super fun cocktails; I had one with cotton candy in it! Delicious cocktail and fun snack too! - the shrimp tacos were tasty and the shrimp was cooked perfectly, which can be challenging Cons: - the rest of the food we tried was pretty average. Not bad, but not amazing either. The "steak tartare" was just steak. The spring rolls were take-out-Chinese-food quality, again not bad, just nothing extra. And they also brought us the veggie spring rolls by mistake, not the pork ones we ordered, and made no apology when this was pointed out. - for some reason they seem very keen on constantly playing Latin American music, despite the fact that neither their menu nor their staff appear to be particularly Latin American - prices are tourist level ... but that's probably true for everywhere in this town I had fun with my ridiculous cocktail and would return another time for some of the other cocktails, but keep my expectations of the food to not be too too high.

We made a reservation a few weeks ago and when we arrived we got seated right away. Our server was really friendly and polite. She provided wonderful service during our visit. Our issues definitely weren't with their service, but it was their food. We started our order with 2 cinnamon buns, and they were really good! They're a heavier dough, but they were delicious and a must try when you go there. For our entrees, we had 2 Classic Eggs Benedict, Huevos Rancheros Benedict, Harvest Omelette and a Harvest Skillet. Our meals came out within 10-15 mins of ordering. The one thing we could all say is that the flavors of our meals were great. Very flavorful, seasoned well, and good sized portions. The problem was in the temperature for all of our meals. At first, all three of us that had eggs benny, our eggs were cold. Not luke warm, cold. We told our server, they refired 3 new plates, and when the new dishes came out it was the same thing. At that point, a couple of us changed our dishes to the Coffee Garden waffle and the biscuits and bacon. The 3rd person wanted to try the eggs benny again. The Manager came out and let us know that the hollandaise sauce is made from scratch, which is great to hear! That doesn't happen often. When the waffles came out, they were crispy, tasted great, but again, they were cold. I ate them because at that point, I realized it wasn't going to get any better. Our guest that had the biscuits and gravy enjoyed them, but the bacon wasn't hot either. The 3rd time for the classic eggs benny, the hollandaise was brought out on the side and the egg was hot, but the sauce was ice cold. Not kind of warm, but refrigerated cold. "Real" hollandaise won't be piping hot, but it shouldn't be cold either. After chatting during our meals, the other 2 guests with the omelette and the skillet, their meals were just luke warm as well, they weren't hot. So while the flavors were all good, the food temperatures of our breakfast was not good which was offputting. For this reason, we definitely won't be back.

Through our dining experience, we got the impression that after tasting the 10 meats and getting our sides, that we should be done and to leave. Our waitress seemed surprised when we kept wanting to make orders. It was not too busy either. We dined for two, and even asked for double our portions, with our waitress saying "no problem!". What we received after asking for double, was less than 1/3rd of the portions every time after with 20 minutes wait each time. This photo is an example of what came when we asked for the Rib Eye, Rump Steak, Pork, and bacon filet migon. We only got one pork, and one rump steak. And this happened pretty much every time we made a request for more food. I was blown away. We asked 3 times for more garlic bread and such too, and never received any. This was extremely disappointing, and given that you pay a minimum of $50 each on weekends, this is a LAUGH. We even had planned on desert and to get the digesto shots, but after getting incredibly annoyed after 2 hours, we decided to give up and leave. We could have gotten completely full from normal portions at any other restaurant, and not have had to wait 2 hours. After making our 3rd or 4th order, our patience left and we gave up trying to ask for anything because we were not going to get half of it anyway. I couldnt help but wonder if they were laughing at us from behind the scenes. I am so sad to say that I do not recommend dining here.

We were shown to our table which was one of only a few tables for two. Pampas is just a big open space so it is VERY loud. The lighting is terrible, a candle on the table would be better. When we go out we like to have good wine and conversation. Not possible in this place. The menu is weird. A choice of 11 meats ( $85) or 3 meats ($45) and a salad bar. We didn't want that much meat so we opted for the salad bar. There were lots of nice flavors, a couple of bread options then some awful hot options that resembled prison food ..... not edible and the mashed potatoes were water mush. All this for $36 each! Couldn't wait to get out of there. Horrible place.....we won't be back.
