My favorite Chinese restaurant in Hot Springs! The food has gotten better throughout the years I e been living there.

My go-to Chinese spot in Hot Springs! It's nothing fancy, but it always hits the spot. Since the pandemic, they've really streamlined their carry-out system. That's what I usually do, though there is space for casual dine-in as well. There is a separate counter for picking up carry-out orders next to where you place an order, which reduces congestion. The food itself is consistently high quality, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. Expect leftovers (though I do think the dine-in portions are slightly larger than carry-out). I rarely branch out because the sesame chicken is just too good, but I've also enjoyed the chicken fried rice, chicken and broccoli, and chicken lo mein. Carry-out always manages to stay fresh and warm. They have an impressive selection, so there's something for everyone. Wok Express is always on my list when I'm back in town! I definitely miss it when I'm gone. read more

I always crave Chinese food when I am not feeling well and this evenings' order did not disappoint. I ordered the Veggies and Tofu stir fry with vegetable fried rice and my husband had the cashew chicken. I got two eggrolls and he got the crab wontons. The appetizers were cooked well and super crunchy and delicious. My main entree was really good, hearty and satisfying. The seasoning on it was perfect. My husband said the same about his. Everything arrived via door dash in great shape, and the portion sizes were huge. Definitely coming back when I have a hankering for Chinese food again. read more

My husband brought home take out for my birthday. He got our favorite dishes Beef and Broccoli, Pineapple Chicken, and so there would be enough leftovers for the next night he got BBQ pork combos. The beef and broccoli was terrible, the broccoli was barely cooked and the beef was tough and slippery. So, I couldn't eat it. I tried the BBQ and the pork was dry and hard and I really didn't want to try the pineapple chicken at that point. Hubby ate some of the Pineapple Chicken, egg roll and fried rice and vomited it up. I was about to cry, so he called and told them what happened, and they said bring it in, we'll make new food. He told them that we didn't want to try any more food! So, they say bring it in manager will refund you. So, off he goes with all the food, he gets there explains again the manager walks up and says, "you opened it, the food was good, if you not like it, no refund!" He didn't even taste it. So that was $40+ and an hour drive and 2 upset stomachs. This is the 2nd time the food wasn't good, but we didn't complain the first time. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING AT WOK EXPRESS ! read more

We ordered Hunan Shrimp and General Tso chicken. Both were disgusting. The General Tso , my husband's fav, was like triple breaded and soggy. Flavor was over the top garlicky. My shrimp as you can see had not been cleaned or deveined. Service was very friendly and fast but they did not put in eating utensils. Just as well, the food was gross. read more

I've eaten with them numerous times and the food has always been amazing. Ordered delivery tonight and it was a different story. I ordered online pick up through door dash 50 dollars worth of food. We went through to make sure gad order correct and was missing springs rolls 1.95. My husband went back in and got yelled at bc lady said she packed it and we over looked them. So for that we will start going across town to get chinese take out. read more

On a reconnoiter trip to magic springs and a scout trip we decided to stop here while cruising town. I lie. Before I could get my straw in my glass of water, our food hit the table. I don't know how since one was custom ordered due to a picky kid. The plate was FULLLL on his fried rice order and mine was as well as a combo. Taste was perfect to be so fast. We will drive an hour to eat here again as that would be faster than some places back home haha. read more

Worst fried rice I've ever had. Not a single vegetable, so much soy sauce. Can't believe it was all $20, maybe worth $10.

The food was great and the service was very pleasant! I was referred to Wok Express by a coworker and enjoyed it very much!

Easy to order by phone. The food was delicious and well wrapped for takeout. Still hot after 40 minute drive home. Will definitely be back!

I dont know what happened in the last year to my favorite restuarant went today for lunch. No waitresses, had to order at the counter. The girl at the counter said when I asked, we've never had waitresses i've been eating there for almost 30 years. I ordered what I always order. They got it wrong. They brought my husband's soup after they brought his entree. Finally he said get to go boxes and let's just leave. The counter girl kept arguing, I told her if you charged me for shrimp lomein I will pay the difference for my gen Tao shrimp, I'll get it to go. Finally got home tried to eat. Food was terrible. I miss the way it was. It was our favorite. So sad. read more

Consistently good. We make a point to hit it at least once a week. The chicken and vegetables are a staple in my husbands foods:-). I love the shrimp with vegetables, shrimp fried rice, Hunan shrimp and the sweet and sour chicken. Great food as always. Horrible customer service. Four of us from work met at Wok, ordered and ate. As we finished, two of our party stood to go out & smoke. At that moment, a staff member told us to leave if we were finished because four men needed the table. Two of us were still eating. Another friend came in and while ordering, heard the man behind the counter say we looked done eating and we needed to leave now. My friend sat down at our table, the same man came to our table telling us we skipped line (?) and the table was the four men's table now and that we could leave or go to a smaller table for two. I explained that I had ordered and eaten. He demanded again that we get up and move or leave. We moved to the smaller table and the rest of our party left, extremely disappointed in the service provided and demands given. I understand they were busy. I don't understand rudeness. They lost six customers today-our party and the friend that overheard this when we got back to work. read more

RUDE! My wife placed an order and 5 minutes later we had a family situation and couldn't go pick the order up. We called to cancel and the woman that initially took the order was so rude! She kept saying "the order is ready, it's already boxed up! What's the problem?" We were trying to explain that we needed to cancel. She then says with an attitude "ugh, I'll make a note for next time to just not cook your food until you get here. We live in Houston so they don't have to worry about getting our business ever again . That first and definitely the last time we consider this place!! read more

There should be more than 5 stars. This is simply the best, freshest, most flavorful Asian food in Hot Springs - hands down. You order at the counter and take a seat and they serve you. Not impressed. I had the Gen Tso's Chicken, in which it was just fright chicken clumps drowning in an overly sugary syrup of a glaze. Not too creative and it was screaming cheap indrediants and little pride in palate creativity. Same level as Panda Express in my opinion. read more

This is by far the best Chinese food in Hot Springs. I am pretty sure you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The restaurant is ok inside. It has a nice Aquarium to look at. I suggest getting your food to go. read more

The food was cooked fresh and very quickly! The General Tso Chicken was amazing, with a great sauce and they omitted the onions for my friend. The veggies were very fresh! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed indoor dining on this first visit. We could see the kitchen staff working--when we walked in they were all just standing around, but as orders came in I was amazed to see what a highly functioning team they were! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Hot Springs! read more

The Wok is as good as it gets for Chinese food in Hot Springs. It's not nasty buffet; you can watch the kitchen prepare your order, which is always appreciated. We've fallen in love with their Mei Fun which has perfect flavoring and is absolutely light. The Good: Huge portions. Yay, lunch tomorrow! It's fresh, it tastes fresh and the food is done right. You'll be pleased with your meal. The Bad: Be prepared to wait if you're doing take-out, I think they serve dine-in first. They also get slammed and every table will be full. I have ate at Work Express for years. I have also been loving their door dash deliveries for the past year. I have NEVER called with a complaint until tonight. I spent $65 to through Door Dash and when I called to express a complaint over the dry Crispy Duck and Bourbon Chicken the manager had the audacity to tell me that he "spoke to the chef who said it was fine. He would credit me for one, but not for the other." .... So okay I'm basically a lier. I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant that I have always had so much faith in. If you looking for friendly waitress or cashier look else where. Waitress and female at register (seemed like owner) were very rude. All i asked was for more time to look ok the menu. All the rude non verbal communication was there. The food was pleasantly good. Not high sodium guy but could need more seasoning for my taste. Overall, 3 stars for me.
