I ADORE this place you really get a good amount of food for price easily 2 meals for the large platters. Their inside atmosphere is very nice I love sitting next to the. Fish tank inside. Of all the restaurants in Hot Springs The Wok Express is one of our top 3. I give it 4 stars. We judge restaurants in 4 categories. Number 1 is service. The service here is top notch, a solid 5. They can be slammed. Tables full and a line out the door and they manage somehow to consistently get the food out on time. They do a tremendous to go business. I have noticed that they take care of their seated guest first. It is not uncommon for them to have a half dozen or more pick up orders sitting on the counter. At the same time delivering dishes to the eat in diner's. 2 and most important the food. We have had just about every item on the menu. Never disappointed. We have eaten at high end Chinese eateries. Wok Express does not meet that level, not for the flavors but the finesse. That may sound snooty but all things equal it matters. Recommended dishes are egg drop soup, pork fried dumplings, general tso chicken, garlic chicken, Hunan chicken, moo goo gaipan, their lo mein dishes are as good as any and better than most. I could go on, it's all good. 3, cleanliness. I am convinced that they replace the little bit of carpet they have every year. It never appears dirty. The tile is kept swept and clean. The restrooms are small but I have never noticed the men's room having an odor or unkept. A 4 here as well. 4, location and parking. They are located on one of the busiest streets in Arkansas. Close to a Walgreens and a Walmart. That being said it is surprisingly easy to to in and out going either direction. Nice large parking lot with more spaces than they would ever need considering the size of their dining room. A 4 here too. On a star rating I give it a solid 4.5 out of 5. If you are visiting Hot Springs and you want a great Chinese meal it's a have to place to go. Fast and excellent food at a very reasonable price. 2 can eat for around $20. By far, the best Chinese food restaurant in town! We usually get take out from here almost once a week, ordering the General Tso's chicken, sweet & sour chicken, and the MooShoo Chicken. Dinners come in healthy portions with a side of white or fried rice and an egg role. Take out is ready in 10-15 minutes and as a bonus, food comes in re-usable containers:). Food is authentic, always fresh, and reasonably priced. The only thing I would recommend changing is the size of the dinning room:). Seating area seems small for high demand. read more

Anybody who writes less than 5 stars for this place is INSANE. I am from a town in California that is legit all Chinese and Korean, this is hands down. The best Asian food. The mushu was so diverse and just fresh and delicious, and there is NO MYSTERY MEAT!! The meat was all tender and actually was meat, everything was right we ordered and they even gave us free stuff without even that bad of a wait?! So much yes. My favorite Chinese restaurant at home went out of business after over 20 years and as I've mentioned this place is even better than my home favorite. If you dont like this place, go to mcdonalds.... you are the fail. read more

In town house hunting and our Realtor recommended this place. There's a restaurant in Everett, Washington (New Peking) that absolutely has the best Mongolian Beef imaginable, but this place comes in a solid second! Service here is efficient and accurate --- the woman at the counter ably balanced two customers, the phone and a balky credit card machine while keeping a happy smile. If you are looking for a romantic date place this isn't it, but it's a great family environment. We'll be back a lot after we move here. read more

This my go to for take out. It's also my go to when I have a craving for Asian food. Staff is friendly, fast. You can see the cooks prepping the food so you know it's clean and handled correctly. The best, however, is the size of portions and the taste. Yum. I tend to order the same items (Love the chicken fried rice!) so I do need to try more of the vast menu. I recommend this place for eat in or carry out. Good stuff always. read more

We were visiting Hot Springs AR and after reading reviews of the local restaurants, tried this one based on great reviews and the fact that they claim to make to order/always fresh. Big mistake. I can't imagine how there could be so many good reviews. They get 1 star because the food was hot. The chicken in the Chicken Lo Mein was unrecognizable as chicken. The dish was greasy and had a burnt taste to it. The pork fried rice was greasy and rancid tasting. The egg roll was spongy yet hot, as if it were reheated in the fryer. I've never had to give this bad of a review before. It was in the afternoon when it was slow, there was a lot of cleaning going on and employees eating at a table with food from another restaurant. They were also doing some kitchen prep work from that table. Obviously, I caught them at a bad time but I paid the same for inedible food as others who enjoyed theirs. read more

Our first takeout from here, other reviews read well, so we picked up to go with only a 10min call in. Phoenix & dragon, shrimp with chili pepper sauce - both excellent! We also ordered bbq boneless appetizer and my husband said it was authentic ( he should know FYI). Egg rolls were also good. We will return again since food and service were both great. Easy access at end of bypass also without going off track very much. Wish we had photos, too hungry and too good, it slipped our minds! read more
