This place really struggles to get sushi right. The lights on one side are far too bright and change constantly, you feel like you're in a club. Every time I've been here the sushi has been weirdly warm and falls apart. I'm not sure why but the rolls all taste the same and lack flavor. Not to mention it is well over priced for the quality and atmosphere. Not to mention your waiter will only appear to take order, give food, and bring check. I don't understand the bad reviews, but to each their own taste. The restaurant must be doing something right, because it is always packed no matter what night we go there. Friday we go early because the tables fill up very quickly. My husband and I have eaten dinner here multiple times since they opened in Burr Ridge. Each time our meal has been perfection and the service has been wonderful. We have ordered Pad Thai, shrimp dishes, chicken teriyaki, steak teriyaki (my personal favorite), various appetizers and a spicy noodle dish. Every meal has been outstanding. The steak is tender and full of flavor. The vegetables are steamed perfectly, the cucumber side dish is wonderful (but a bit on the skimpy side..need to offer a bigger portion on that instead of just three bites)... and because the food is always good, we never take home leftovers. This is one of our favorite places to dine. Remember the old saying...if the parking lot is full, the food must be good. Same with the tables. read more

Atmosphere is urban-hip, but a a bit strange. There was techno music overhead, then live piano (and singing of Billy Joel songs) from the bar area- which clashed and just made it "noisy". Also had a TV in the bar. Waitress couldn't hear us when we ordered. There was a good selection of drinks. Food was decent, but overpriced. Specialty maki rolls were in the $14-15 range. We chose the "crisp and crunchy" roll...but it was nothing to rave about. Too much "crunch" to actually taste the other ingredients, and the roll fell apart when picked up. Very messy- and I've had better. We shared an entree. It was a good size if you were eating it yourself, but not enough to share. Our bill was $55 for 2 drinks, one maki roll and one entree. This is the kind of place where you go if you wanna be seen in the newest -trendy restaurant. That's just not our thing. read more

I ordered take-out from Wok 'N Fire today. I ordered a Yakitori Beef, a Szechuan Chicken, a Kung Pao Beef, a Spicy California Roll and miso soup. The Yakitori Beef smelled terrible and I couldn't get a bite out of the tough meat--it was inedible! The Kung Pao Beef's beef was really bad--very bland. The Szechuan Chicken was my favorite of all of them, but it was still relatively bland. It did have a really fair amount of spice in it though- usually the "spicy" labeled dishes are lacking. The Spicy California Rolls were okay, but the other sushi places around here are much better! Finally, the miso soup was okay, but I could have easily made it myself, and I bought it for restaurant-quality, and received none. read more

My husband, son and I ate here last night. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very pleased with our dining experience. We got there on what seemed to be a busy Friday night, at 6:30. We were seated without issue. We ordered quickly and were served quickly as I told our server that we were in a hurry. We both ordered noodle dishes with steak that were delicious! The prices were high, I believe, for Thai food but the portions were large and the quality of ingredients seemed high. I LOVED the fact that a manager (I believe) came over to see if we were enjoying our night, food, service. That just never seems to happen anymore. We ate here during their happy hour, and found their selection and prices satisfactory. The food was also good, except the waitress had difficulty gauging how spicy the dishes were going to be - one dish was much spicier and one dish was much milder than described. Nevertheless, we thought the place was worth 3 stars because we did not like the dark atmosphere, funky lighting, and noise level. read more

Great location! We were traveling through Chicago on our way home from Florida. We stopped here during the week for lunch. Presently surprised by their great lunch menu. The portions were generous. I also noticed that they have great happy hour specials on appetizers and maki rolls. There drinks are on special all day everyday. The service was great and the manager personally stops to see how your experience is. Now on to the food. We had a Asian Caesar Salad and the Sesame chicken. Both were wonderful and had enough to take home for dinner that night as well. We will return when we are in the area. read more

Great decor, good service, and bad stir fry. The sauce in the stir fry was way too salty, the veges were over cooked to the point of mush. The service helped this get up to two stars. Try their homemade ginger ale. Shame the stir fry was not as good. read more

Everything is fresh and fabulous!! There happy hours are absolutely unbelievably a great deal. Restaurant is always clean and very adequately staffed. Love going there at least 2xs a month! Highly recommend. read more

on 12/29/15 at 6:15pm, We were seated, waited 30 minutes without any server coming to greet us or take an order. We told the hostess, who said she'd get our waiter. We waited another 10 minutes with no one coming to our table. So we decided to leave. We informed the hostess on the way out, and she did not seem at all concerned, just saying "ok. We're sorry" as we walked out. I wish I could review the food, but I was never given the opportunity to order. read more

I really wish you could give no stars, as no stars are deserved. We had the worst service here on a very slow night, our food took forever to come it was cold!!! And my favorite is that I ordered sesame chicken and when it came out without sesame seeds, I asked the waitress why there were no sesame seeds she acted as if I asked the craziest question. Proceeded to talk to me like I'm 5 years old. She was AWFUL, we waited forever for everything our bill our cold food our drinks... everything. Worst service ever, worst food ever. I LOVE this restaurant! It's one of my very favorites. I've been to this restaurant (Burr Ridge location) a number of times and have ALWAYS had a delicious meal and ALWAYS had good service. My favorite dish is the Macadamia Chicken. It is TO DIE FOR!! I've tried just about all their appetizers and they are ALL good and you CANNOT beat an Apple Martini for $4 at Happy Hour. I think the ambiance is nice and I always have a good time their. I have brought many different friends there and they all liked it as well. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! read more

Went there on 5/31/2016 at 6 pm, and the food has gone down hill. Salmon Carpaccio tasted aweful - and it used to be my favorite dish. The variety of maki rolls all tasted the same, had the same spice in each and every one of them. I don't know if they hired a new chef or what, but whatever they have done, it needs to go back to the old way. It was such a let-down, I will never go back. I hear DAO is great!!! read more

Zero stars. Although we enjoy the food, i have been very dissatisfied with the wine menu. They have consistently 'run out' of the lesser expensive wine and only have an ultra expensive option. This has happened 3 times. Unexceptable. read more

This is one of my favorites places. The menu is big. I love all the stir fry and noodle dishes; however the Wasabi Salmon is one of my favorites. The chicken satay appetizer is delicious. Nice atmosphere. Check for Groupons. read more

We have passed this place up several times and I have always wanted to try it out. A long wait at another restaurant drove us to come here and finally try it out...honestly, I regretted not waiting the hour an a half at the other restaurant. This is in no way a bad review on the service. All of the servers and every employee was MORE than amazing, great service! Our server was super nice and attentive...the food however was pretty bad... everything was either too sweet or was as if the salt shaker fell in. The calamari looked...sad, and was beyond too chewy. I never send a dish back... i honestly hate complaining but, I couldn't even stomach the chicken Panang Curry. It's my favorite dish and, I just couldn't eat it, there was a ring of grease and idk what around the bowl and after my party kept telling me to say something I finally sent it back. And as embarrassed as I was the waitress was super nice about it, seriously loved her. I replaced it with a the shrimp pad Thai that would have put me into a diabetic coma after two fork fulls it was so damn sweet...left home with a stomach ache and a $100 bill. love love loved this place! I went with my boyfriend because we had a groupon, so we were not sure what to expect. When we arrived, the outside of the place is very attractive and it was even nicer when we stepped inside. They have super neat lighting all over that changes color every few minutes... makes for such a cool ambiance. We were asked by the hostess if we had a reservation, which we didn't. I was worried that'd be a problem but it wasn't at all. She smiled and said we can have a table in the bar area if that was fine (we prefer bar seating so that was great). Our server, also the bartender promptly greeted us and told us the specials without us asking (love that). I ordered the appletini on special and it was amazing. The server then asked if we had any questions about the menu and was super helpful and attentive the entire time. Our food arrived and was amazing!!! We presented the groupon when our bill arrived, which most of the time is a hassle, however the manager quickly came over and scanned it right at our table. It was a super fun and great experience all around! Will definitely be going back! read more
