    Brisket Eggrolls

If you ever find yourself wandering through Houston's underground tunnels and craving something bold, fresh, and just plain satisfying, Wokker is the spot you don't want to miss. I stumbled across it during a lunch break, and I'm so glad I did. Wokker blends Asian flavors with Southern comfort in a way that feels both creative and comforting. The moment you walk up, the aromas alone pull you in--garlic, spice, smoky char from the wok... all the good things. I ordered the Korean Smoked Brisket Bowl, and honestly, it might be one of the best lunch bowls I've ever had downtown. The brisket was tender with just the right amount of sweet heat, and the veggies had that perfect wok-fired crisp. Their rice is fluffy, the sauce is addictive, and the portion was generous without being overwhelming. I also tried their Brisket Egg-rolls on a friend's recommendation, and wow--spicy, crunchy, and ridiculously good. Perfect for sharing... or not sharing. Service was quick even during the lunch rush, and the staff was friendly despite being busy. The tunnel-level atmosphere isn't anything fancy, but Wokker brings all the personality through its food. Please get served by Christine! If you work downtown or are just exploring Houston's hidden underground maze, Wokker is absolutely worth the detour.

We walked down to the underground food court in downtown and this was the place my sweetheart picked out. Definitely a great selection. I got the Korean pork belly fried rice as suggested by the person at the register and he got their chicken dish that is pictured in the food menu. Both were so good! I recommend this place and would definitely come back!

A bit underwhelming... chicken wasn't very crispy or flavorful. On the greasier side too... I did like the ranch on the side though. I could see myself enjoying it more if I was drunk!

The customer service was great, he helped me with any questions. The food was delicious, everything has so much flavor. The pork belly was crispy and juicy. The vibe here is nice, everyone is doing their own thing and there's old school arcade games.

We came here late on a Sunday because we wanted to deviate from The Post. I'd previously been to this hall when it was known under a different name and had some different vendors. We ordered four items to split and we were filled before finishing our meal. My biggest highlights were the brisket egg rolls and brisket curly fries with double meat. I think these two dishes were really packed with flavor. The jalapeño bites were delicious but the contents were still very hot even after I waited a while to taste them and I spent more energy trying to avoid burning my mouth and the contents falling out of my mouth. The Chicken n Greens dumplings were also good. They may have been a slightly overfried because they weren't as juicy as I would have expected but that was a quick fix with the sweet n sour sauce. Staff was friendly and considering how many orders we had ahead of us, the food was prepared quickly. I can't complain about having fresh quality food. This was by far one of the best meals I'd had all week and certainly in the last month.

Came in Hungry and really excited to try the food. Honestly it didn't do it for me, the food was a little bland and no soy sauce available to spruce it up. A little let down after reading the reviews. Customer service was nice. It's located in a cute little underground eatery

My husband ordered the brisket curly fries and he loved them so much we came back the next day so he could get them again. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend checking them out. The atmosphere in the Underground Hall where Wokker is located is worth the trip alone!

Looks good, sounds good, but mediocre at best! Often I find to many restaurants covering up and flavor they may have had with too much hot pepper or a sugary sauce. I would call this place a food mall, or a food court, buts more of food truck quality and not the great kind. Service was slow for the time I was there, not sure if they made it fresh tasted older, and I'd call it expensive too.

This food is very average. It was too spicy and didn't really have much flavor. I would not come back. The underground food hall is cute though.

Oh man, first time coming here, and definitely will not be my last. Something like a hidden gem, but I'm not a Houstonian, so perhaps a lot of people know about this place... Lol the food was really good! The chicken was just a little bit dry, but full of flavor, the fried rice was absolutely amazing though! And it was season to perfection.we also got the eggrolls, which weren't too bad, but I wasn't crazy over them. Perhaps next time I will try the vegetarian roll since I do not eat pork. The service was cool, nothing, extra, ordinary, and the ambience was very quiet. , but also had a hard to describe, scent in there... It almost reminded me of a place with a bunch of water... I'm not sure if I'm describing it correctly...

Upon arriving, every table was taken except our table w a reserved sign on it. The restaurant was bustling, but I could still hear my husband over the music and noise. The menu is huge!!! I didn't know where to start. But our server, Vanessa, helped us make a few choices. We started off w bánh xèo tostadas, bánh béo, & carpaccio. Then we had calamari and their steak special. I asked for a side of papaya slaw for some veggies. My favorite dish of the night was the carpaccio. So many flavors perfectly melded together. Loved the crunch of the fried onions and peanuts. 10/10 dish, in my opinion. Authentic banh xèo usually has an airier, crisp crepe, but theirs was more crunchy - great for their tostada take. Very flavorful. Each piece had one shrimp, but plenty of pork belly bites. The nuoc mam drizzled on it was tasty. Fried calamari - this is a big dish for, I believe, $'19. I prefer the dipping sauce on the side so that the batter doesn't get soggy. This did happen here, but it didn't stop us from finishing every last bite. The green sauce was good, not the usual dipping sauce for fried calamari. Steak special - they have another steak dish on their menu, but this one was pepper crusted w smashed potatoes. The potatoes were super crispy and flavorful and the steak was perfectly cooked - a beautiful pink medium rare. The portion was huge and justified the $39 price point. The staple steak dish came with a papaya slaw and I had to have it. It was bright and limey - I can see why they serve it with their steak. Bánh beo - my least favorite of the night. A bit thicker than I like. Still good, but there were a lot of other great dishes that I could easily pass on this one. Try their hibiscus artichoke tea.

We got there 15 minutes before to make sure we could find parking. They have a small lot but all the spaces were taken despite being before 6 pm on a weekday. And a few spots had noticeable broken glass so be careful. We fortunately found street parking close by; double checked the signs because I ain't getting towed for nothing. Then I double checked inside with staff to make sure where I parked was ok. On to the food: we got several happy hour appetizer items: soy garlic wings, Brussels sprouts, bao bun, roasted oysters. All was good but not amazing. I then ordered the pho tai chinh for myself - I was quite impressed with the portions and the price! Wifey got the lemongrass pork banh mi - good but not amazing. Overall I would say the food taste and portions were good, but note this is elevated Asian cuisine, so it'll run you $20-$30 minimum. Now the service - definitely super friendly staff. It was our first time there so maybe they brought out the extra friendliness. Even the chef came out and greeted us to make sure we liked the food. Waitress was very kind and checked on our table a LOT. Almost too much. Overall a good experience, yummy food, not a fan of the parking (a common problem in the Heights), and expensive for Asian food but that's expected. Enjoy!

He even convinced me to come back for brunch to try the Savory Scallion Waffle with a side of Orange Chicken, which definitely piqued my interest! The vibe was already on point, and it was even better with the World Cup playing, adding a fun and energetic backdrop to the experience I was initially a bit skeptical about the mocktails, but Jose let me sample one beforehand, which I really appreciated. I ended up ordering the Tender-oni (a mocktail Negroni), and it tasted incredibly close to the real thing, without the unnecessary spirits. A solid pick if you're looking for a zero-proof option that doesn't sacrifice flavor. For food, I tried the Rangoon, which is their twist on classic crab wontons served as more of a dip. It did not disappoint. I loved the crunchiness of the wonton chips paired with the creamy dip, and the sweet and sour sauce tied everything together perfectly. Definitely a must-order. Overall, a great visit with standout service and creative menu items. I'm looking forward to coming back soon to check out their brunch :)

I think you have to go earlier in the day because they only make a limited number. I ordered the pork katsu bao and the honey walnut bao, and both were great. Honestly, these aren't your typical baos, but they're fun, creative, and really tasty. The pork katsu featured a thick piece of crispy fried pork that paired well with the thinly sliced avocado. The honey walnut shrimp bao was MESSYYYY, but packed with flavor- a cute sweetness on top of a fried shrimp patty. I will definitely need three baos next time, though, because two did not fill ya girl up. It's a counter-service restaurant with quick service, plenty of parking, and an easy spot for a casual meal. Now I just need to go back and get my hands on that crab rangoon burrito.
