Although the portions were good size my egg foo young lacked flavor. It actually had no flavor even with soy sauce and chili oil (which cost $.75). The chicken and vegetables were a bit better but the fried rice that came with it also didn't taste like anything. Lastly their egg rolls which I use to love and would drive from Richmond, TX just to get were still big but the filling was very salty this time. I'm not giving up on them but I really hope the food goes back to what I know it used to be.

The beef was tender and kind of reminded me of a beef fajita texture with how flakey and tender it was. The sauce was savory with garlic and soy sauce flavors and I really liked it. The veggies were cooked perfectly for my taste: still a little crunchy and not soggy. My only complaint was the onion. They were a bit too crunchy and raw, which made them super spicy and pungent, so I just moved them to the side. The egg roll was good, too! It tasted freshly made with cabbage that still had some crunch, which I love. Portion-wise, it was absolutely perfect. I finished everything except the onions and left feeling satisfied. Would recommend (late night)…read more Stopped in at Spicy Girls during their late-night service. They have a separate menu and ordering style late at night -- it's all QR code, pay-on-your-phone ordering. So if you come in late in the evening, know the menu is more condensed and everything comes in to-go boxes. There's no real waiter; everything's just brought to you and you pay on the app. Using the QR code and app was simple and easy -- if you've been to Japan or other places that do it this way, it's a seamless setup. The menu was condensed when it came up, so we ordered a selection of things. Taiwanese beef noodle soup, $14.99 -- a pretty big serving. Three people could share it as a small bowl, or one person could make a full meal of it. Not packed with vegetables -- a little bok choy -- but the noodles were good and it had chunks of beef cooked nice and tender. The tendons were left on, though, and were a bit chewy; they could've cooked a little longer. The broth reminded me of a mapo tofu type broth -- super Szechuan-y and super oily. I enjoyed the flavor, but my wife said it was kinda mid. Would recommend it, just understand it's a very oily, spicy soup. Dandan noodles (added vegetables) -- some of the better dandan noodles I've had. You can add proteins and vegetables to pretty much anything on the menu. These came warm, which I appreciated -- a lot of times I've had them served cold, but these were good. I'd suggest them as a side noodle or something small. The serving was still pretty big, but to me it's more of an accoutrement than a main dish. General Tso's chicken -- mid at best. Honestly I'd take Panda Express orange chicken over this. Decent portion and it wasn't dry, it just wasn't flavorful -- the batter wasn't crunchy or flavorful either. Could've done without it, so I wouldn't suggest it. Spicy fried fish -- really good. It's sort of like a salt-and-pepper fish, except they hit it with a three-pepper blend and toss it in extra garlic, Szechuan spice, jalapeños, and the like. We enjoyed it a lot -- we even had enough for leftovers, and reheated in the microwave the next day it was still solid. Strong recommendation here. Fried rice (upgrade from white rice, +~$3) -- can't really suggest it. It wasn't awesome, especially for a $3 upcharge -- basically just rice tossed in oil with some green onions. No extra carrots, peas, or anything like that when we had it. We could've saved six bucks getting the white rice and probably been fine. A couple of things to note: they have beer and sake on the after-hours menu, and it's somewhat reasonably priced. All in all, an enjoyable experience. If you're looking for late-night Chinese food -- especially after hours, like midnight or later -- this is a place worth checking out. I'd also like to try their daytime menu sometime, since it's more versatile and would probably be slightly better. In the end, I'd recommend going here late night if you're in the area and looking for Chinese food. And I'd possibly return.

After rattling the door a little bit, a gentleman came out from the back and unlocked the door from the counter with a clicker. When asked, he said that they keep the door locked in the evenings since the staff are often in the back and Main Street is notorious for *characters* wondering the streets. I ended up ordering a Thai favorite, Tom Kha soup, and something new to me, the Thai cashew nut stir fry. Both were prepared hot (temperature), fairly flavorful and each with a surprising variety of veggies. I prefer the Thai cashew of the two dishes as the Tom Kha is what I would consider a slightly more nontraditional version with beech mushrooms rather than larger cap mushroom, and no lemongrass or kaffir lime leaves left in the soup. Despite this, it was flavorful with strong lime notes. I do appreciate the fact that all selections on their menu can be customized based on protein or veggie preference. While they maybe busier during lunch to cater to the downtown workforce, I was a little sad not to see anyone inside of the restaurant. They have a nice well lit, clean, sitting area with modern decor. Well it's not at the top of my list, their takeout was fast, satisfying, and reasonably priced.
