Their menu is a mix of Chinese, Vietnamese, and even one or two Thai entrees. I thought my wife's bún and my phó were perfectly fine and I would order either again. Don't forget this place. Red hot noodle is a great Chinese restaurant that made you feel at a good Mon and pop restaurant. I wasn't able to picture the food I got due to being taken to go and I ate it too fast but it was delicious the staff was quick and friendly. I was a little disappointed they didn't have a to go menu so I could place it and head down there later to pick it up since I usually am indecisive on what I want at new restaurants. Ordered a Shrimp Pho to dine in. Place was empty. Upon receiving my pho; I noticed it really oily at the top. The oil was coming from the shrimps; like if they were in a stir fry (maybe their Shrimp Lo Mein) I cook so I know the shrimps aren't supposed to look like that. I told the waitress and the owner and didn't option to fix it. I asked for a refund, owner agreed and was told to not come back. BEST chicken fried rice out of all the Asian places I've tried in Houston! Worth coming by or picking up just for that dish. I appreciate that anytime I've taken food out, all plastic wear and condiments are always packed neatly in bag and nothing forgotten. The pho is pretty good. Not what I expected at all. Food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor. We ordered the Triple Delight and the Dragon Fried Rice. They both had 3 meats each. There was plenty of meat and veggies in the Triple Delight. Onions cooked perfectly. Rice had plenty of meat as well. The woman at the counter was very patient with us since we could not decide. I normally like this place, but today was the exception. We came in for dinner around 4:20 ish pm. There was one other customer eating at the establishment. I have an active 2 year old and we kept him on a tight leash, but he was being loud. The place echos. He is an excitable little boy. While my husband had him on his lap to try and keep him under control the owner came out to ask us to control our child. My husband wasn't allowing our son to run around. He was trying to calm him down. What did she want us to do? Tape his mouth shut? If you have children this wouldn't be a place to eat as a family. This place was an unexpected tasty surprise. It's counter service but the employees are very attentive and kind once you're at your table. We just played pickleball at the community center nearby and wanted to grab a quick and easy bite. It was 5 of us and we ordered the Triple Delight, Shrimp Lomein, Pad Thai, General's Chicken and a Banh Mi. The food comes out hot and fresh with good size portions. The food has delicious wok flavor. The sauces are a little on the sweet side but still really tasty. I wouldn't order the Banh Mi again. Oh and there is complimentary cucumber water for customers. One of my favorite places for takeout. They're generous with their portions and reasonably priced. Highly recommend their "red hot noodle" for those who love spicy food and their triple delight is one of the best I've had. They also have a banh mi and pho combo that's a great lunch option. Stopped in for some tofu fried rice which was made fresh while I waited. Big portion that was still hot when we got it home. The tofu had great flavor and the rice itself had a ton of garlic/onion flavor. While this dish was only a small sample, it was a great first experience at the Red Hot Noodle. I was doubtful about this place, but we gave it a try. Glad we did the food was great at least what me and my mother tried! I had the House Lo Mein so good definitely recommend and my mother had the Pepper Steak also a great entree . The food portions are just right, just enough to get your belly full. They offer many types of drinks, but no alcoholic ones, they also offer cucumber water free if you rather have that with your food. The place is clean the owner is so nice, we had brief conversation. The woman who processed my payment was about as 'warm' and 'personable' as an ice cube. Not once did she smile. She was the tall, thin and lanky one (out of the two women up front) and perhaps she was the manager but she was very unfriendly. The food was very bland. I could not stomach it. I threw it away. I had ordered the Teriyaki wings. They wings weren't breaded. That was fine. However the wings weren't seasoned at all. Not one grain of salt or pepper. The wings were like hospital food. The Teriyaki sauce was watery and also lacked flavor. The sauce was so watery it would not even coat the wings. It just ran right off and pooled at the bottom of the container. The little there was of it. It was the nastiest meal I had every attempted to eat and I tossed it in the garbage. That was my first - AND LAST - time eating at this restaurant. Just YUCK! read more

I went in to order the General Tso Chicken. I wanted to swap out the white rice for fried rice, understanding there would be a cost. To my surprise, the chef does not do substitutions. I could have paid for the side of rice but I would not have eaten all that rice. By this point I didn't want to ask for anything else or back out since I was the only person there.
