We have ordered most items on the menu except for pork and that's only because we don't eat pork and salad very good soups smoked tri-tip, brisket and pastrami have a good assortment of sides, and you have your choice of ordinary meets à la carte by the pound or is part of a meal. This is a local business with two locations. Make sure you leave room for some bread, pudding and other desserts. This one just happens to be my favorite. A first try of their second Santa Clarita location, the original location in Valencia was a so so experience a couple of years back. My wife stopped by while out and we both went with the Make Your Own Bowl with Tri-tip to go. I also opted for red onions, roasted corn, mushrooms, quinoa, cheddar cheese, and of course bbq sauce. Yummy!! Absolutely yummy!! My daughter, her boyfriend and i came here the other day for lunch. We ordered a three meats plate (brisket, cheddar jalapeno sausage and pastrami) w/spicy slaw and garlic toast plus an order of loaded mac n cheese with pulled pork. It's the typical new style restaurant where you order at the counter, they give you a number and then they bring your food to your table. After about 10 minutes the food came out piping hot. We dove right in and man, oh, man. Everything was tender, smokey and flavorful. The spicy slaw is a great foil for the smoky meats. The mac n cheese was amazing and we all loved that they use cavatappi noodles. We ate until we were stuffed and still had enough for me to take home for a couple more lunches. The owner came by to check on us and we assured her everything was great. When we finally left, we promised we'd return...and even if i have to come alone, i'll definitely will be back. Was excited to have a BBQ place so close to home. I've only been twice so far and both have been ok. Tasty for sure, but I was hoping to have my taste buds explode from all the hype before they opened. However, they have these bowls for lunch that have really been the winner for me. They are only $12 and it's more than plenty to fill you up. Definitely wish the other meats were a bit cheaper for the amount you get, but I get it. Everything has gone up. The location itself is amazing. Super convenient and clean has been my overall experience. Not to forget that everyone working there was super kind and I met the owner as well who was just as sweet. I've tried a lot of items here and haven't had anything that wasn't really good. Today I tried the turkey meatball pasta and I now have a new favorite! There is a nice spicy bite to the marinara sauce and the meatballs are so tender you don't need a knife. I can EAT pasta and they give you a ton where you don't leave hungry. Love at first sight! Clean spacious dining room, sweet friendly staff and "That's the best dang bbq i ever ate!" The Bowls are great and so glad they have quinoa! The TriTip is, juicy, flavorful and tender. You get choices of toppings, I believe it's 5, so I chose snap peas, red and yellow peppers, mushrooms and hot peppers. Then a choice of sauce! We are so happy they opened a Copper Hill BBQ in our hood! I got an alert a couple weeks ago about BBQ in the SCV and it mentioned how budget friendly they were but I wasn't that eager to drive across town (TBH), then I remembered they opened one up in this new plaza on Sand Canyon. The hubby and I went on a Saturday for lunch and we were greeted as soon as we walked in, all the ladies at the front desk had smiles on their faces. We reviewed the menu and since we went in knowing we wanted to share a dish, we decided to go with a sandwich. We went with the pastrami and two sides (mashers and beans) and two drinks. The wait time was not long either and once our food was ready, we drove home in a jiffy to try this deliciousness! The pastrami was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and the slaw on it gave it that zing and the bread was pretty good, just wish they used rye bread and had fries. The place was clean as a whistle and the music was playing and they seemed pretty well staffed. When we go back, because we WILL, we will dine there and I think go with a BBQ plate and get our BBQ fix. I was asked to check this restaurant out by Yelp so we went to get take out from them. OMGosh! What an absolute treat it was to go here. First when you walk in the hostess greets you with a big smile. You place your order and Julian took our order. He was so charming and patient. He helped us decide what sides to get , showed us pictures and smiled the whole time very patiently. We waited and as we waited another order taker by the name of Valerie kept asking us if we needed anything with her big beautiful smile. The restaurant was packed by people of all ages and diversity. Everyone was having a great time and enjoying their food. I think a very nice woman who greeted us and kept us informed of our order was the owner. She was so sweet and she greeted her customers as though they were family. The restaurant was immaculate! You could eat off their floors. As a matter of fact so were the bathrooms. It felt good to be here in this very joyous atmosphere. All their personnel were professional, worked their rear ends off and truly enjoyed serving the public. The food was Michelin 5 stars. If I could, I would give this restaurant 10 stars. This will be a regular place for us to eat at. The plastic cups at this restaurant are so well made that you don't need a straw to drink out of them. Try them and you'll always want more. read more

This is my second time at the Canyon County location. Santa Clarita is not a bastion of good food but I heard great things about this place in Valencia (I've never been), and I wanted to try it. First time I went I had a brisket sandwich. That was it. That was enough. I wasn't terrible by any means but it was not great. It was in the dead middle. Meh. I'm old school. If the brisket is bland, no need for anything else. This was maybe a week after they first opened Move forward to June 25. Had a wisdom tooth taken out and needed something rather soft to eat. Gave it a chance again and got mashed potatoes with mac&cheese to go. The mac&cheese was not good at all. Beyond bland and not much cheese. It was watery with no flavor. I ended up cooking over it by adding some flavor (paprika) and more cheese. It helped but still not by much. The mash potatoes needed something. I'm feeling some cream because it was rather dry. It was better than the mac&cheese but that's not a high bar. The ambience is not great either. Cold and sterile. It's almost like the wanted a "to go" spot but knew they needed to have tables too. Not well thought out. The employees seem nice and we're quick to get my food so that's nice. That was my last time going. It's very much in the spirit of the food out here. Bland, boring and yet many locals swear by it which proves my point. That's what they like. I live out here but I'm not a native and I've had amazing food all over. Brisket and baked beans are my favorite at this counter service bbq restaurant. The food is delicious and quality is consistent. I also like that the iced tea is tropical and the ice is crystal clear. Both sandwiches and sides were delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. The side salads were great and there was twice the amount of other BBQ locations. They also gave us pickle slices. We are here for the first time on Sunday. All staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant also appeared well staffed which was so nice to see. I got the pulled pork sandwich and mashed potatoes. The pulled pork was some of the most tender pulled pork I've ever had! We ordered two kids meals as well which were brought out quickly. I grew up in the midwest where BBQ is a definite love of mine. This place took me forever to order. There was nothing for the kids except mac n cheese. They do not serve fries. Well, having eaten here twice I can defitely say I don't like it. The sauce is way too sweet and the meat just tastes of smoke. I like a good tri tip but this version is just a miss for me. I do like their texas salad and that's worth ordering all by itself. However the pulled pork, which is usually a go-to when I order bbq, was just off.
