A few friends of mine are wine club members here and brought me along since they stop by every quarter. We made a reservation on a Friday afternoon and it was packed on this fall day. The vineyard was easy to find and the drive to the cafe is through their vines. There's ample of parking, but you might have to walk some steps. The dining room was large and bright. We were greeted and seated right away when we arrived. I love the floor to ceiling windows with a lovely view of the leaves changing colors. Our server was so sweet. We each started off with some wine and I love the claret and the coupage (Malbec). The claret is full body and really stood out and the coupage was easy to drink. The pork belly burger was fantastic! The pork belly was soft and smothered in a sweet glaze and I love the green apple slaw and the brioche bun. The fries are crispy and salted perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, the wine and the service. I will be returning to try more items in the menu. read more

The view alone is worth the visit! The service was good and the pizza (we got the Flying Dutchman) was excellent, if oddly sliced. My Bride and her father had the Chantaloup, a blend of oak-aged Chardonnay and steel-aged Viognier which she declared "quite good." I feel bad for ordering the coffee, because our poor, young waiter had to brew a fresh pot, and I couldn't drink it. It was, bar none, the worst cup of coffee I have ever tasted, and the second sip merely confirmed that. I drank my water and the pitcher of cream, but that's it. This is a new find. I gave four stars more for the manager and the food. If our server was great it would easily have been 5 stars. We had a misunderstanding but the manager handled it swiftly and with such customer focus you couldn't help but feel appreciated as a customer. The place itself it beautiful. Lovely views. Update, It's been a while since I've been here. Why, I'm not sure. But after another delightful experience I thought it right to put a fresh review out on Yelp. Once again a fabulous Sunday brunch was had by all. A wonderfully decorated and awesome display of tasty food was experienced. Everything was neat and clean. Lindsey, We understood the pivot due to us not being able to arrive at our initial time. We arrived at 4:45p. But we should have not been told we could sip at the pavilion until 5:15p if you close at 5p. The accuracy in the information offered by Jessica is the issue. I don't want to assume it was intentional. However, the tone and what she said, afterwards, make me really think about her intentions. I'm sure it's not best practices to tell a customer one thing and complete change courses when we arrive. If that were the case and it was communicated accurately, there would not have been an issue. The other very important issue was the "way" Jessica communicated with us when we arrived. It's not what she said, we addressed that. It was definitely how she said it, in the condescending tone. The tone was one that you'd use with a child. We were absolutely being talked "at" and not "to". We are all professional women with occupations that required a high level of education and customer service, we know. At a minimum, customer service that is condescending or one that makes and excuse for others, is not the best course of action. We weren't pressed to stay, as we'd already arranged to visit Accent Cellars once we left Wolf Mountain. This is because we knew our visit at Wolf Mountain would be very brief due to our late arrival. I want to be sure I am clear on the reason for the critique. It's solely to encourage reevaluation of approach and customer service skills in regards to communicating with the customers that you would hope they be return customers. I have never, in my life, been to such a beautiful vineyard with such HORRIBLE customer service. Today, I paid for a wine tour, though an outside company.However, the level of unprofessionalism by the management, specifically, Jessica, I know, NO OWNER would accept. As someone in HR, my professional experience tells me that such a lack of soft skills and customer respect, especially from a manager, is unfortunate to read about. It is disheartening to report this, especially knowing the pride Karl, Linda, and Brannon Boegner must have in their family's vineyard. Walking to our tour bus, shaking your head, packing up the bottles of wine, the owner of the tour company purchased, in a paper bag with plastic cupss, and talking at us, and not allowing us to exit the tour bus. All of this happened after speaking with the owner of the tour company. We knew we would not be able to do the testing but you, Jessica, assured the owner that we would be able to use a different area, stayinf until a specified time- because we couldn't do the testing. Inappropriate and Unacceptable. I am embarrassed for the by the way she not only spoke to us, as a tour group- but, also how she spoke with the owner of the tour company we used. After this experience, I am certain that this is not how you build a lasting reputation. Unfortunately, it's not a positive one. read more

Such a cute place to visit, wine is a bit pricey by the glass so I recommend a bottle! Service was great they have multiple people working at different areas that can help serve you food and wine by the bottle or glass. My last visit wine tasting was $25 which is not a bad deal, but if you like a place where you can just try a few types for free, this is not that type of place! They have a fire pit on the back with an amazing view where you can keep warm on a chilly day! I finally got a chance to check out Wolf Mountain Vineyards after having a day off from work. It rained on my drive up, but by mid afternoon the rain stopped the weather turned out to be very nice. The grounds and the facilities are very nice with beautiful views of mountains upstairs in the restaurant and downstairs in the tasting room. I made lunch reservations for my date and I. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave recommendations food and drinks. I ordered the flying dutchman pizza and my date ordered the boucherie pizza. We shared the kale caesar salad. The food was so good!!! We both had leftovers to bring home. We paired the pizzas with a glass of the plenitude which is a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier. It was really good. After lunch we made our way downstairs to the tasting room for the wine tasting. We opted for the still wine tasting which was $25pp. Very nice day trip!!! My wife and I visited Wolf Mountain during our stay at the Getaway Cabins about 30 minutes away. We were here to also celebrate our 4 year anniversary. The Parking: We visited on a Saturday and it was packed! They do offer a lot of free parking, but depending on how busy they are will determine how close or how far you park. The Service: The service is great! Everyone was super friendly to myself, wife, and doggo. The Atmosphere: The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect at a winery. Inside there was a wine bar, in addition to many other other food items to purchase. They have amazing views of the vineyard and even offer a space for marriages. The Wine: My wife and I did a wine tasting. The wine tastes really good. My favorite was the Rosé. There are about 5 different wines you get to sample. Overall, I highly recommend! read more

The WMV cafe is hands down the best restaurant I've been to in 2022 so far. The view, the overall vibe, the server, and the food were immaculate! PARKING We made a reservation to visit this place during a weekday after hiking Amicalola Falls, which is about 30 minutes away. However, we ended up being about 30 minutes late because the drive up the mountain is quite tricky and the parking lot is TINY. They still let us in with the late reservation because it was on a weekday I think. VIBE We went to the cafe which is only opened for brunch. The building is on top of a mountain and the view is soooo pretty. The sides of the building are fully glass so we were able to fully take in the view while enjoying the food. Such an intimate yet grand experience! Also, the dress code was casual-I was wearing leggings but I didn't stand out. FOOD Not only the view was amazing, the food hit the spot too!!! First of all, the servings were HUGE... idk if you can tell from pictures but we ended up taking the leftovers home which never happens. And I could tell the ingredients were fresh. Our personal favorite was the house salad(the ingredients in it change periodically) which was kind of surprising. The salmon on it was was so moist and complemented the freshness of the salad so well. Our second favorite was the pizza-the thin crust was crispy with slightly burnt flavor and tomatoes were so sweet and juicy!! We also liked the duck burger but the patty had a slightly different flavor that I was not used to. Definitely try the burger if you want an adventure! PRICE Everything we got was $16.75 each if I'm remembering correctly. I think everything was moderately priced considering the quality and the quantity of the food. We did get a glass of wine for $16 though which I thought was a bit overpriced. I don't remember the name but it was a Malbec/Cabernet Sauvignon blend and I thought it was good. It wasn't too sour and had a good amount of tannin flavor. Honestly I'm not a huge wine person and we didn't do the wine tasting so I can't really comment on the wines here. Wow, this place has everything. the land of mountainous view of Vineyard. It's on top of a mountain. The levels of this restaurant is breathtaking with glass and wood and brick. It's just beautiful outdoor seating at three and four levels and Gardens. You could sit there for days and just drink up all of The scenery and the wine. Lots of host servers everywhere so if you've never been there, I can be a bit overwhelming and confusing but once you get your bearings and get to the place that you want to be it is just a perfect beautiful place. At one level, they have an outdoor area to order pizza area and charcuterie. Then you go inside and can order sample or do a tasting of their wines while you're waiting for your charcuterie board or pizza to be ready and they give you a beautiful wine bottle with a number on it to sit on your table that they bring your food to you And just a perfect afternoon fun time to experience all that this beautiful place has to offer. The charcuterie board comes with different types of H cheese, salami nuts, and fruits preserves and mustard presentation perfect. The pizza did take a little bit longer to arrive but understandable under the circumstances that there was 1 million people there and still was able to execute it perfectly. Oh and the pizzas are made there on site incredibly flavorful and delicious went inside to sample some wines and ordered a glass of their Coupage it is a medium body bordeuex blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon it has complex berry flavors aged in a older French oak barrel for 12 months prior to blending. I love the name. I love the process and I love this wine. It went perfectly with my meat and cheese, fruit and nut charcuterie board. Had brunch here on a Sunday. Their menu for the month is Low Country/Cajun. Everything was fabulous!!! Especially loved the shrimp and grits and the catfish. Would also like to mention that the collard greens were cooked appropriately southern. Too often restaurants don't cook them long enough to make them luscious. These were luscious. We have been here several times for the Sunday brunch. Honestly we probably do the brunch about 4 times a year depending on the menu. I can't eat shellfish and not a huge game eats person so when those are the themes for the month we skip those. The location is beautiful and they do a very good brunch buffet. Most of the time they so keep things hot and filled so when you go up you can expect it there. Every now and then you get someone who doesn't want to bread of the eggs Benedict and you find all the eggs off and bunch of bread and sauce. Not the restaurant fault and people can be jerks. They do have the desserts in the corners and a coffee bar which is also very good. There usually are 3 desserts and then coffee. Usually I like their coffee and it's strong but last time it was weak, which is not like them so eh let it slide. This place can get busy but often we don't feel cramped unless there are several super large parties and they are just taking over and not being aware of others. Parking can be tough if you have a large car or truck. The driveways are narrows, you are in the mountains. If you have a smaller car or SUV you make want to take up here instead. We had come all the way up from Atlanta for beers and bratwurst in Helen, now it's time for something a little bit more sophisticated. Also, my friend is a member of the wine club here and needed to pick up her order. We spent our time downstairs in the bar area and I saw a whole bunch of delicious looking pizzas outside on the deck. They looked amazing. But just wine today. Because my friend belongs to the wine club, our two wine flights were free. A nice selection of bubbles, whites and reds to enjoy. Two ounce pours times six glasses is a pretty nice sampling. Brut Natural? Good. Blanc de Blanc Brut? Good. Plenitude chardonnay and viognier (both aged in stainless steel)? Good. Chanteloup chardonnay and viognier (aged in oak)? Good. Howling Wolf Red? Good. My favorite was the last one of the tasting, the "Coupage" which is a traditional Bordeaux Blend. Good deep blackberry flavor, lots of deep tannins, now I need a steak to go with it. I can't say enough good things about Wolf. This was my second time coming here and they treated my friend and I like princesses. A fellow co worker of mine used to work there, so as soon as we got to talking about our mutual acquaintances, they made sure we were taken care of. We shared a tasting, and while I'd usually head downstairs and out to the patio, it was currently being painted, but they assured us that we were more than welcome to sit outside if we'd like. We planned to head back upstairs to get our next tastings, but Andrew, brought out the rest of them and gave us a wine lesson. You can tell that the employees here are passionate about what they do and they genuinely enjoy being of service to you. We moved up to the dining room to get a pizza, and Ethan was our server. Recently checked out Wolf Mountain in Dahlonega and had an amazing winery experience! Here are my thoughts and recommendations: When: we visited on a Saturday morning, around 11 AM. This was our first stop during our North Georgia Wine Tour. Service: 5/5 - we were the first group there seated in their tasting room. Jessica was an amazing hostess; she explained every wine in detail, and also gave us food recommendations. The food was also fantastic; definitely recommend the charcuterie board. We all decided to do the tasting menu which was $30 per person and you got to taste five different wines. Ambience: 5/5 - this is truly a gorgeous winery. The views are fantastic, and it feels very serene. Even when we visited on a cloudy/rainy day, we had a great time and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food/Beverage: 4/5 - they had some great wines all around. I personally prefer a dry red, so the Coupage was my favorite choice of the tasting. Things to keep in mind: - If you are looking to be seated in the tasting room, it can get pretty noisy in there once there's more than one party seated. There is a ton of seating with great views outside. We did not get food, however it looked delicious. We would have ordered the burrata, it looked so good! The staff were very friendly and helpful!
