Wolfe Heights is truly a neighborhood gem! I have been to this local winery several times for wine tasting and the Mimosa Sundays. I live really, really close to the winery and have popped by to pick up some of my favorite wines at the last minute. The estate grounds of this winery is simply magical with a beautiful courtyard, fountain and pond. The winery can accommodate weddings and other events. During the spring and summer, Wolfe Heights hosts several Events each month. If you are looking for a local winery that is quaint and intimate, Wolfe Heights is the one. My wife and I selected Wolfe Heights because the grounds were absolutely stunning and the quality of wine was a mark above other winery venues we had considered. Both of those things held true on our wedding day, and without question the work the team puts into maintaining the landscaping and estate house in addition to the bar staff who earned high praise from our guests make it hard to leave a negative review. Unfortunately there were a number of challenges we experienced that we wish to share, with the hope that it will encourage the ownership group to make some necessary changes. The first and most egregious offense is tied to the treatment of a member of our wedding party who is has an infant and still pumping. Leading to the event we shared with the venue team MULTIPLE times that we needed proper accommodations for her. They assured us they had a place in mind and that she just needed to find a member of the venue event staff when the time came. Mid wedding that time came and the "accommodation" they had was a service garage that had no privacy, and was not the type of sanitary environment that any mother would feel comfortable in (photo attached). It is extremely frustrating that my wife and I put a lot of forethought in communicating specific needs to properly accommodate our guest, only to receive an outcome like this. Which leads to the second point that was a constant point of frustration: communication with the Wolfe Heights event team was extremely difficult. Being mindful of changes they were undergoing during our wedding planning: change in ownership, changes to their wine/beer offering and liquor license, changes to their pricing structure. The team was slow to respond, at times provided no answer to questions asked, at other times would copy/paste excerpts from the wedding contract as an answer to a question we were asking specific to that part of the contract. While some communication was recovered when our wedding planner stepped in, our last onsite meeting with the Wolfe Heights event team two weeks before our wedding foreshadowed some things that did not go to plan on our wedding day. The Wolfe Heights event lead had an outdated copy of our wedding timeline and planning docs which our planner had sent multiple times (our planner fortunately had an extra copy to share). Details like the location of our welcome table and guest book, were later changed morning of by WH team without a good explanation as to why. We were told signature cocktails could be served, but they did not share that they would be premixed in large dispensers. This led to one drink (old fashioned) being super strong. While some may see these missteps as small or trivial, they underscore the constant battle that it took to properly prepare because the lack of communication from the WH event team. The last point is specific to the Event Manager, we heard from multiple guests following our wedding that you were rude. They observed harsh treatment towards vendors, a few were told by you to "get out of the way" in an aggressive tone. The way you comport yourself does not seem in line with the type of experience that Wolfe Heights aims to deliver. All in all, for how much it costs to get married here, the experience leaves a lot to be desired. Post event my wife and I agreed that if we knew what we know now, we would not have chosen Wolfe Heights as our venue. read more

Awesome awesome wedding venue! My daughter's wedding was yesterday evening and the place was magical. We got so many compliments on the choice of this venue and the beautiful grounds. Feels like Napa meets LA! The whole place came to life at night with the hundreds of lights wrapped around the trees and the lit up water fountains and dancing floor! We couldn't have been happier. If you need a wedding planner Perfect Plan weddings were wonderful as well as Amour Florist and ToniNgoCustomcakes and Jackson catering. We are soooo happy we chose this venue for the wedding. Beautiful venue, friendly and attentive customer service and a large selection of wines, including sparkling. We booked a tasting which was $20/pp. It included 2 whites and 2 reds. I didn't care for the white wines since I'm not into sweet wines or chardonnay. I did enjoy the old vine which was a solid, dryer red. I think it was a Zin. What I liked best about this winery was that it was just one big open room and it felt cozy. We also have the best seat in the house which was a set up like a lounge so it was nice to kick back, relax and sip. The pours were generous and the bottles ranged from $16-$50 which was very reasonable. We also heard about the $60 Sunday brunch paired with bottomless mimosa and a wine tasting. It's a monthly event and I would be excited to check this out! read more

I'm writing this review for the winery that Wolfe Heights has recently opened on their property! I came here with a party of 6 to try some wine (since Napa is 1.5 hrs away) and to celebrate my birthday, and I was so amazed by this property/venue. The trees are so beautiful and autumn colored right now, which just makes the scenery breath taking. The seating is sectioned around a fire pit, making it easier to converse with your group while feeling warm and toasty. The samples of wine that we tried were a good variety of red, whites, rose, and desert wine. And our servers very kind and attentive. I am so happy I came to visit this venue/winery, and am surprised at how beautiful it is considering it is Sacramento. It's definitely worth saving yourself a trip to Napa and staying local. read more

I must say - Wolfe Heights is top notch! My fiancé booked a tasting for my 30th birthday and I was pretty excited, but had pretty moderate expectations. We happened to be running late, so I called to let the winery know and I had the pleasure of speaking with Kristen who assured us our spot was secure! Once we got to the winery, we were surprised at how beautiful the property was! Kristen greeted us led us through an awesome tasting (literally everything is SO good!). Not only we're the wines great, Kristen was the best host! She made the experience fun, personable, and just enjoyable overall. She really helped make my 30th the best year yet! (This girl needs a raise!!). Will definitely be back again with friends and family! read more

But today, his Bay Area transplant wife got him good for his birthday. Hidden away in Vineyard is a secret oasis that is Wolfe Estates. When speaking with the owner, you can tell this spot is his heart and really truly his labor of love. The property has willow tree canopies, a beautiful labyrinths for wedding ceremonies, and a man-made lake. We were here for a Sunday bottomless mimosa brunch held every last Sunday of the month. And boy it was fun! For $65 they give you bottomless mimosas, a 3 course meal AND the plates come with a wine tasting. It was a really good deal. It really had the vibes of going to a wedding equipped with a DJ and dance floor. But not having to bring a wedding gift or to sit through a ceremony. This place is beautiful, the staff were amazing and highly recommended... My family and I were invited to a catered watch party last week, and had no idea this place was here off of Gerber Rd. near Bradshaw Rd. We drove up on Bar Du Lane to the back of the road and saw acres of grape vineyards and towards the back was a lot of parking, to the left was the winery venue beautifully lit up at night, this place is huge with fountains, wedding venue, olive trees and more, the wine tasting room was cozy and had many bottles of wine that were delicious, the food was on point. The owner was there to greet us upon arrival and was so polite welcoming my family and I, and telling us to make yourselves at home. This place is AMAZING, FRIENDLY AND BEAUTUFUL! Attended an absolutely beautiful wedding here. I loved how green everything was, the beautiful rose bushes, the unique seating and alter, the waterfalls, everything was so picture perfect. Beautiful venue! Here to attend Binh and Mary's wedding. It's a little tricky finding the place. You have to turn on a hidden road that has a sign saying private drive. Lots of parking for guests and as you walk in you'll see the bar on the left. The wedding was organized, and after they served us snacks such as cheese and biscuits, crackers, grapes, smoked salmon, and etc. For cocktail hour, the bartenders were nice and quick to serve. We had our wedding here in August 2019. We are so glad we chose this venue for both our ceremony and reception. We wanted an outdoor venue with a nice scenery that can accommodate 275 guests. This venue offered us that. The venue is gorgeous and has many areas to take beautiful scenic photos. When you visit the venue, you can see that a lot of thought and work went into designing it. We love the property, the built-in dance floor, the beautiful garden for a wedding ceremony, etc. I had several guest who "love" to take photos and they seemed to enjoy the venue as much as we did. It was nice that this venue has a private parking lot for guests. As a bride/host of any event, I think it is important to provide a welcoming and fun atmosphere, but also to ensure safety and accountability for the guests. I appreciated the property manager walking around the venue and checking to make sure that everything was going well - although I understand some people may not appreciate that as much. As someone who has hosted other events for family and friends, I know how hectic things can get when there is alcohol available for guests. We all know a friend or family member who can drink too much and be inappropriate. Having someone else be an extra set of eyes provides me comfort and allows all guest to enjoy the event, while alleviating some of the stress on the host. We booked the venue about 1 year before our wedding after we took a tour and looked at what they offered. I enjoyed working with the staff. They were very accommodating. For example, we had a paid DJ, but my dad decided to bring his own music system for guest to karaoke (yes, i was stressed and embarrassed, but I guess he was also excited for us too and wanted to celebrate it his way...), but the venue was totally fine with it (after I gave the okay) and he spent an hour or so playing his own music and his guests seemed to enjoy the chance to karaoke. For anyone planning a wedding, just expect the unexpected. Lol. Enjoy the day/night as much as possible, and just remember that your family and guest are also excited to celebrate the moment - albeit sometimes in their own way. I also like that we had the option to rent the property to stay the night. We took advantage of that. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who wants to host a wedding or any event at a nice venue with beautiful outdoor scenery than what we usually see in the greater Sacramento area. My personal experience as a customer of Wolfe Heights, with the people that work there and the facility that I personally viseted is as follows. (WH keeps flagging my review and having it removed.) We went to two bridal shows and Wolfe Heights was at both. We liked the gentleman hosting their booth a lot, he was very warm and friendly and seemed really to care about providing a beautiful venue for people and assured us the prices were wonderful. We, (I, my son and soon to be daughter in law) signed up for the "brunch" they were having to introduce the place. We went to the facility and while there we all went over the pricing and selections, as well as a complete tour of the facility and it's offerings. I was pleased to find that the gentleman at the wedding shows was right about the pricing and that it was something we would be able to afford and decided to get the money together for the deposit. We called them and set the date, and Wolfe Heights said they would email them the contract. When the contract arrived, however, we were shocked to see that the price had increased by over $2000!!! We called to tell them that was not the price they had agreed on and we were told that the new price is what it is and that we can take it or leave it. We left it. read more

The Ambiance was peaceful. You can walk the property. We had excellent service. They don't offer many food options so don't go hungry.

Just Wow! As a wedding planner and former catering manager, I honestly appreciate all of the time and thought that was put into designing this venue. Not only is it beautiful but everything is planned to a "T" from the bride and bridal party ready rooms, to preferred parking for the hair and makeup in the morning that then turns into the catering parking once they leave. The meticulously planned walkway from the house to the stairs that descend down to isle are little touches that I appreciate. Hands down best designed and picturesque place to get married. read more

I happened to stumble upon Wolfe Heights Event Center during a search on the Venue Vixens website. I am getting married next year and want to have a local wedding, so when I saw this gem online I set up a tour as soon as possible! The event coordinator, Patricia was quick to respond to my inquiry and I was able to schedule a tour of the facility that weekend. Bill and Steve were the dream team that gave me a detailed tour of the property. They were SO helpful and not only answered all my questions (I had a notepad full of them!) but also provided me with a clear vision of how my wedding would turn out. I immediately knew that this was the one. For those interested, there are a list of items that make this a unique choice as a wedding venue. There is a cute pond with willow trees and a dirt trail that takes you to the back of the property. In the back there are olive trees that make for great pictures. Oh! And the unity garden where the ceremony is supposed to take place is so adorable! I really can't wait to walk down the aisle next summer when the flowers have bloomed. (I'm so excited!!!) I am so happy I have finally found a unique and gorgeous venue that is local. It really gives off a Napa-vibe that I have not seen or experienced at any other venue in the Sacramento area. Incredible event venue, absolutely incredible staff! My brother passed unexpectedly at the young age of 30 and it completely shocked and devastated our family. Because of Covid in 2021 a ton of places would not allow us to host anymore than 25 ppl indoors and that just wouldn't work for our family, Wolfe Heights came across with ample outdoor space that we could use for a celebration of life. We contacted the venue and they were so understanding, accommodating and took such great care of us. A celebration of life is not something they normally host there, so they had to make new pricing and accommodations and they did it without hesitation. Wow! Just experienced being apart of my sisters wedding here this past weekend. The venue is out of a fairytale. The grounds are unbelievable. That staff was TOP notch. I was able to work with Bill a little bit and he is the best. His personality, his attention to detail, and how he works so well with the bride and groom to make sure no stress and that the day is perfect. I highly recommend using it for your rehearsal the day before and stay the night with your bridal party. It was the best decision my sister made. Made things so much easier day of. The venue pleases your guest. The outdoor areas are gorgeous and well maintained. The venue had allows us to set up a couple of days prior to event date (Friday Wedding) very flexible. Staff are friendly and walk you through what is expected for the day of. I love the venue and love the space, all my vendors loved this location and staff. On the day of the wedding an hour before ceremony- bridal party were told their bouquets (pampass grass) were not allowed in the bridal suite because of the amount of shedding from the bouquets. This really impacted our photography itinerary because now we have NO BRIDAL Party Photos of us in the bridal suites. Had venue communicated this earlier, we could have had bridal party shots in our hotel. I have no bridal party photos in the bridal suite... Also The Staff had informed our Dj to lower their music and it was 6pm and 730ish which noise ordinates start at 10pm. Lowering the music had enormous impact on our guest. Staff shared a few neighbors complained which is odd because the venue is not near homes. If your looking for a Wedding Spot with no music restrictions, this venue is not the venue for you. I am part of a bridal page and 2 other brides have shared this with us, thinking it will not happen to my wedding well it did... I have never heard of a venue telling Dj's to lower their music, because this does not happen... at this Venue IT WILL... Something to think about.. Dj's are your guest pleaser for driving all the way out to this venue to support the bride and groom, music is everything... my rating reflects not allowing bridal party photos in the bridal suite with their bouquets and venue having our Dj lower their music in the middle of the wedding... We lost out on these 2 things that truly mattered to us... We would have used another venue had we known these rules... read more

I recently went here for a wedding and this place is so stunning I had to write a review. I'm taken aback that something this great could be located in Sacramento. The venue is spacious and visually stunning. Who knew that tucked away down an unassuming road was a beautiful venue complete with a gazebo and little vineyard. Absolutely stunning venue .. the unity circle is unlike any other venue around and the grounds are meticulously maintained ... they have vineyards, olive orchards, willow trees and pond with a creek that adds such a great touch with the sound of trickling water during the night!! This is one of those venues you fall in love with slowly. It certainly is beautiful at first sight, but the longer you look back on the photos and videos, the more wonderful the property begins to appear! The grounds look very well-maintained, and the private road leading to a generous parking lot offers easy and appealing access for guests. The bridal suite/estate house is also breathtaking! Unfortunately, my fiancé and I were one of the couples affected by COVID-19, and due to personal reasons, we were unable to reschedule to a future date. Despite these circumstances, Patricia (the event manager) corresponded with me professionally and kindly as we made the decision to cancel our wedding. I recommend Wolfe Heights to any future couple who is lucky enough to be married there -- we are sad our big day isn't happening there, but yours could! My wife and I spent an entire week calling venues to find the perfect place that would fit both our budget and expectations. We were feeling a bit discouraged until we found this gem. We had our wedding here in June 2019 and the venue was absolutely incredible! The property manager was very helpful and the venue was equipped with everything! The only thing I could point out for improvement was the property manager (who was extremely kind) was hovering around through the entire wedding and watching the guests. Some of my guests felt uncomfortable and thought it was a little odd. When it was 10pm on the dot, I (the bride) was told immediately that we had to clean up and stop the party.
