AJ's is one of those places that you know you will provide you with a good meal in a kind of bar like atmosphere. They have several specials. My husband and I were hungry for rib roast. We were not disappointed. The rib roast was cooked perfectly. First a salad, then the roast beef and baked potato. Everything was delicious The service was top notch and the restaurant was full It seems to me that they also do a ton of take out orders. Will I go back? You betcha

Just doing brunch with friends. We like to go and try out new things we heard they had a bloody Mary bar so we had to give it a try. The Bloody Mary's were very good with lots of stuff to top them with. Our group were the first ones in very quiet, but by the time we left the place was packed. Our waitress was very friendly and quick. I ordered the lettuce wedge. I was surprised when it came and it was not a wedge. It was a slice. I've never had it like this before I didn't care for it because it was a lot of the center of the lettuce. Hubby got sloppy Joe sliders. He really liked them the french fries were soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside very good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and said they would love to come back to this location again. I did notice two poker tables there also.

Ordered takeout online and picked up to bring home. They packed the everything separately which was great since the bun wasn't soggy. The sandwich was good. I was disappointed with the onion rings but it may have been the long drive home.

Went out with a group of coworkers. Service is very friendly and they make you feel like a regular. Place seems very busy all the time. They have daily specials so keep an eye out for that. The day we went was steak night, can't remember price but it was cheap! I got the Tex Mex Salad, so yummy. I'd definitely go again.

We really liked this bar! We decided to go here prior to a concert at Ruoff. We will definitely be stopping here again. The bartender was great, I told her what I like in a cocktail and she made one up for me. We sat at the bar so she was also our waitress. The hubby had a Wee Mac in a can. I started with the soup trio, a flight of soups so you can try all of their soups! My favorite was the chili. I had an order of onion rings along with Ahi Tuna Wontons. The onion rings were nice and crispy and the wontons were super fresh with a tasty sauce. The hubby had the build your own burger along with sweet potato fries. He said it was a good burger. It was not too noisy in the place even though they were fairly busy. Make sure to get by and give them a try.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch without knowing a thing about this place. Exactly the kind of vibe I was looking for. A nice local bar with good food, where everybody knows your name. The people in the kitchen know what they're doing. We got the giant pretzel, fried cheese curds, and fried green beans. All very nice. I had the Italian beef sandwich. Nicely seasoned beef with some burnt edges, not dry, combined with hot pepper garnish and Mozzarella on a crunchy roll. Along with a generous helping of kettle chips. Worth getting. The service was fast for lunchtime and courteous. Give it a try. The menu has a lot to offer.

The food at AJ's is truly to die for. We had the French Onion sliders and like the menu says, tastes like French onion soup on a bun! We also had the chicken nachos. They had so many toppings with lots of quedo cheese! The service wasn't great. I was pretty disappointed to wait so long for my check and then see that my server was inside just talking. We had waited for a really long time and even asked another waiter to tell her we were ready for the check (we were sitting outside). Eventually, I had to go in and find her to check out. If I went back, I would make sure I would make a point to have a different server. The vibes were great on a nice evening, with the bar garage doors rolled up. Even thought the patio is off the parking lot, it's still great to enjoy the views beyond Fall Creek!

AJs is a great gatherinf spot for locals ans visitors alike. Along with their solid regular menu, their brunch menu is fantastic! They have a build your own bloody mary bar as well. The fried chicken benedict was so so great. I look forward to coming back again soon.

The 'Hoosier Daddy' was excellent! All four in our party selected the same thing. Get the tenderloin loaded and ask for the aioli/garlic mayonnaise. It's has a kick and the flavor is outstanding. Two of us added a side wedge salad We were very satisfied. The sliders are just the right size, easily manageable and the taste was excellent. The breading could have been a tad more crisp, but it was fine. The buns were a tad larger that the tenderloin, but we were happy with the portions. There are 3 sliders with the combo and we actually split two order among the 4 of us. Adding the salad was wise as we all were quite satisfied One order came with fires and we had the onion 'straws' with the other. The variety was nice and made us enjoy the total order better. Our server was great and made sure we got our Tenderloin Trail discount up front. Couldn't have been more accommodating! We sat inside as it was miserably hot and humid outside. The indoor seating was nice and pleasant. We were surprise that the restaurant wasn't busier on the night we were there, but we heard that the turnout for other places was lower on that night due to the heat. We were very happy that we went and that we chose Wolfiea in Geist to start the trail. We truly enjoyed the fries and the salads.

It has been over ten years since my original review of Fort Ben Pub, a locally owned pub and grill…read moretype establishment located in the Fort Ben area in the same strip center that includes Moo & Lou's Ice Cream and Phaya Thai. There's a wheelchair ramp in the middle of the building - I'll be honest, I don't quite trust it as I've noticed people in this parking area tend to block it without noticing it. There's also easy access from a ramp at the end of the building. Lawrence has done quite a bit to improve their curb cuts in this area, an area that has grown massively since my last review including 2-3 apartment buildings, a library branch, and an improved civic plaza. Fort Ben Pub itself is pretty accessible, though it becomes less so when it's packed (for example, my most recent visit was on a Friday karaoke night and accessibility was definitely more limited). There's two glass doors going inside the pub and, yes, they do offer a few tables on the sidewalk for outside dining. As you enter, you arrive in a large dining area with a beautiful bar to the right. The restaurant is decorated in warm woods with a few televisions of varying sizes and, on this evening, background music playing. On this visit, I was with a festival after-party that was placed off the main area in a smaller area that had two pool tables along with a variety of food/appetizers, etc. It's a cozy room that gave me a chance to check out the rest of the building. I did see the restrooms, which I would definitely not consider accessible - plan accordingly. I could possibly get in the door of the men's restroom, but it was quite tight and I have a smaller chair. This is a beloved place for a friend of mine who lives nearby and within walking distance. They treat her well. She was there during this visit, and I honestly just smiled at their clear affection for her (it's mutual). I love places that become community, and knowing this makes me want to return. That said, my accessibility concerns do somewhat limit my options. Fort Ben Pub does offer space for private events/groups and does catering. They have pool tables, Putt Putt live, Mega Touch, and Golden Tee and most of the sports network channels. While I'd tried both their tenderloin and burger in the past, I had a variety of items this time around due to the after-party, though not everything it seems was on the menu (or I'm just not recognizing it). As I noted previously and my friend also proves, the employees are super friendly and helpful. There are definitely times when it gets busy, though it's also pretty easy to come here during slower times. This particular visit was the first time I'd experienced accessibility issues. There's an awful lot to love here. I have to say that while I wasn't in the room with karaoke, the people were having a blast with such sincere enthusiasm that I was almost in awe. I've done karaoke one time in my life, and I don't think there's enough alcohol in the world to fuel another attempt. I also know from being close to the folks at Moo & Lou that these businesses watch out for each other - which I really like as it's a nice little safety factor. In the end, my star rating isn't changing but my appreciation for Fort Ben Pub has grown. This visit made me want to return in the near future, and it made me grateful for those places where you can get so comfortable that it feels like the people become part of your village. That's Fort Ben Pub.
