Sat outside and ordered Ahi Tuna soft tacos. They were very good! Three tacos with a side of chips and salsa. Nothing special about the salsa. Tasted like it came from a jar but had a nice smoky chipotle flavor. My husband ordered the Grilled cheese w/ bacon and avocado with tomato soup. I was a little jealous. It looked fantastic! He said it tasted good too. Service outside on the deck was great with a view of the marina if you sit near the railing otherwise it makes for a perfect place to be on a warm, sunny day! read more

First off the food is okay, but slightly overpriced. Now on to the real reason for a 1 . The service is absolutely terrible. This is not my first visiting as well. Joined with a friend for Cinco and some of his friends. Bar service was the worst I've ever experienced. They maintained 3-4 bartenders the whole time however sitting on the outside bar you rarely got no order. They only focused on the inside bar. To top it off my friend had one of his friend pick up his tab as he needed to drive them home. After they were gone the bartender asked where did your friend go he didn't pay his tab. End result is I pay both of our tabs. Such a shame for a place on the water. They will succeed only because of that but they could be so much more. I won't be back. read more

Doesn't interact with clients never tries to take an order has to be stopped to place an order the bar was dead!!! If I was was behind that bar or even running it!!! Have been going to wolfies for about a year. extremely disappointed at annual change of menu. as a vegetarian, there are never many options. i fell in love with the spinach melt and really enjoyed the sauce on the cauliflower tacos. they used to have bean burgers and those are gone now. Only options r new cauliflower tacos with a new sauce or salads with meat or nuts (i have a nut allergy). I miss having warm vegetarian options and many of my vegetarian friends loved the spinach melt and will now no longer be returning sadly. read more

Wolfies has a great location on Geist however their adherence to state COVID guidelines is highly questionable. Yes staff were wearing masks but the tables aren't always spaced ensuring 6 foot separation and the bar was quite crowded. The worst however is the entrance where there was a mass of people waiting for a table to become available or waiting to request a table and of course patrons are not wearing masks. The greatest risk I've experienced since services began opening! There are many other restaurants that are taking COVID precautions much more seriously and I'll be rewarding them with my business. read more

This was our first visit since opening as Wolfies. Our meal was wonderful as was the service. The place was very busy on a Sunday afternoon but we didn't wait too long for an outdoor table. Great decor and renovations. Happy to have a good operator at this location. Visit the Wolfies on 96th street often. Disappointed that the food we are used to on 96th street was not the same at Geist. Finally the perfect fit at the only Geist lakeside restaurant location. The renovations were just what was needed with one large bar in the middle giving better lake views. The menu is small but efficient with a nice selection of foods done right. The bar menu is also efficient with a nice selection of top liquors, wine, and beer. When you are sitting outside at a table under an umbrella...on a day when the sun is not too hot...with a slight breeze coming off a lake...drinks are colder, food tastes better and service blips are forgiven more easily. This summarized the experience at the new Wolfies at Geist. The dining experience was simply made better by the atmosphere that only a restaurant by the water can provide. We arrived at lunchtime and were offered indoor or outdoor seating and we did not hesitate in requesting a table out on the large deck. Our server was friendly and helpful and was generally on top of everything until we had to track her down for our check. The food was good but unremarkable. I order the Fish Tacos (Tilapia) With sriracha aioli on the side and it was very good and worked given we were outside by the water. My wife was not in the mood for what she called "bar food" so she settled on a salad and soup. The soup was not hot but she ate it before the server could return to heat it up. She was satisfied but not delighted. My 3 year old enjoyed his "sandwich burger" and overall the experience was very pleasant. read more

The only saving grace to this place getting 3 stars is the fact the food was pretty good and the manager was willing to comp a portion of the bill although I left paying full price for my meals which really wasn't the issue to begin with. Our waitress had no attention to detail, never bothered to ask us for refills, never brought out our appetizer, didn't ask what kind of salad dressing we wanted to go with our salad. I am actually surprised that we even got our food. It's sad when a nice establishment has to be willing to comp food for the ineptness of the staff they continue to employ. Upon arrival the parking lot was PACKED! So I was already like "oh no"I'm my head.... however the wait was only like 15mins. The restaurant is bigger than it looks, has TV's everywhere! As soon as we walked in you could smell BBQ which had me wanting all the BBQ items on the menu. I got the BBQ Nachos which were pretty good but didn't have enough toppings. Once you had the chips on the top the underneath was bare. Overall though it was pretty good, just needed a more even distribution on nachos. Excellent establishment! I went there for the first time on a Friday night to watch my friend's band. It was packed when I walked in at 8:30pm, but I was immediately able to get a table inside the bar area. Michael was an excellent server. He managed all of his tables flawlessly. The wedge salad is one of the best I've ever had. $2.50 Yuengling pints for the month of April! The restaurant was appropriately staffed for a busy Friday night. I'll be back for sure. Went for lunch with our family of 5 on Saturday and we were sat by the window immediately. Great view over the water. Service was fast and they accommodated our 11 yr old daughter's request to customize her kid salad lettuce and toppings. The food came fast and hot and everyone enjoyed what we had. I especially enjoyed the tomato bisque with avocado grilled cheese. A perfect pairing. Would love to come back some time in the evening for drinks and snacks by the water. I've enjoyed eating at Wolfies on many occasions. The food has been good, especially the tuna. The cocktails are made consistently and punctually. I would give five out of five but expect a long wait after being seated to be served. Other servers will walk around ignoring costumers instead of being team players. This was by far the best catered food... A big thank you to The kitchen staff for making the most delicious BBQ Ribs and meatballs. They were fall off the bone tender and everyone really enjoyed them! We picked them up in chafing pans that fit directly into the wire racks.. Super easy and ready to serve. Hubby took me for Mother's Day drink. We were lucky found parking, got 2 seats at bar and got great service by bartender Morgan and her colleagues. Very busy but did a great job. I went to Wolfie's when I was at the Geist Reservoir on a pontoon boat trip. The food was alright. I got a BBQ burger that was decent. I think it could have used slightly more BBQ sauce so that it had more flavor on it. The service was slow on the day we came. My wife tried BBQ nachos and they didn't have enough cheese on the nachoes and they weren't mixed the best. The food wasn't terrible, but it was nothing great either. I might try this again at another time as I heard good things but I would say it was just alright. read more

Second time dining at this location and still not a fan. The women's​ bathrooms were filthy​, 2 out of the 4 stales out of order. Once in 1 of the 2, I was discussed​ by the amount of hair and lint on the ​floor, looked as if no one from management had check bathroom​ because it was dirty!! Almost out of toilet paper, NO towels in paper towel dispenser​, and mind you this was about 630pm so it's not like it was super late and they had been swamped. Staff very friendly but food not very good . We love sitting outside for dinner so we were hoping this would be the place to go . Started with buffalo nachos - very skimpy on the toppings and bland. Had to ask for more buffalo sauce just so the chips had some flavor . Wanted a salad but most of their salads consist of iceberg lettuce. My husband ordered fish and that was okay but smothered in sauce- making it not so healthy of an option. I ordered a steak - very chewy and the blue cheese topping seemed like a blue cheese and blue cheese salad dressing mixture . Jalapeño cheese sticks don't have any jalapeño taste . Our son liked his burger but they were skimpy on the fries serving . My guess is that they don't have a chef- at least it doesn't taste that way . read more

We were there the first week in June for lunch, sat outside and had a wonderful experience at a Wolfies. The food was very good and the service! I had the grilled alpine chicken wrap which was packed full of chicken and very tasty, my husband the Baja burger..also very good since he usually eats half but managed to finish off this huge burger! My 4 year old son is not a big eater but he literally sat right in the middle of the dock (after a being in a boat) and opened up his to go box, ate half his cheeseburger...and opened it up again in the car, asked for ketchup and finished the other half! We will definitely be back there at Wolfies and I already know I want to try the fish tacos next! As for a few negative comments I say cut them some slack people they just opened! Food was absolutely horrible. A Prime rib sandwich is actually a beef shaved Philly Cheesecake type sandwich but there was so much fat in the meat it was bad. The pulled pork sandwich was dry and had so much spice heat that it was inedible. The fries were nothing special. We are not any means food critics but their food was awful. Prices were high. The Bar area was so loud that everyone else sitting on the deck overlooking the beautiful lake couldn't relax and speak at a normal volume due to the loud bar customers. Felt very sorry for an older couple sitting next to the bar screened area. Service was good. Our waiter was new and young. Overall Disappointed. read more

I've only been to this location once and it was a great experience. Service was great, food was great. I had the pulled pork sandwich which did not disappoint. Had the jalapeno cheese sticks which had just enough kick to them. The view is great to look out at Geist reservoir. It can get busy quickly. I would definitely eat here again read more

I held a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad at Wolfie's Geist on Friday November 30th 2018. Steve, the store's GM, was readily available during my research process and always helpful in getting the logistics of the event established and confirmed. We opted for a secluded location in the corner of the dining room near the bar (40 attendees), and an appetizer buffet with 4 offerings for the event. We had two servers taking care of our group and they did a stellar job. They kept the buffet stocked with hot/well-prepared food, and everyone's drinks full. They kept many separate tabs organized among the group's bar drinks. The manager on duty was present to frequently check on our group, seeing if our servers needed any back-up/assistance, and helped continuously run food out to our group. Great sense of overall teamwork from everyone in involved. Kudos to the team in the kitchen, all of our appetizers were timely, hot, and delicious. Chips/white queso, meatballs, chicken quesadillas, and wings (dry rub & honey sirracha). We were able to watch sporting events on the array of flatscreen TV's around the restaurant, and enjoyed the music from the performer in the opposite corner of the bar. In the end, I was happy that I selected Woflie's Geist for our event. All of our guests were impressed with the decor/atmosphere of the facility, the quality of food, and great service.
