We were there the first week in June for lunch, sat outside and had a wonderful experience at a Wolfies. The food was very good and the service! I had the grilled alpine chicken wrap which was packed full of chicken and very tasty, my husband the Baja burger..also very good since he usually eats half but managed to finish off this huge burger! My 4 year old son is not a big eater but he literally sat right in the middle of the dock (after a being in a boat) and opened up his to go box, ate half his cheeseburger...and opened it up again in the car, asked for ketchup and finished the other half! We will definitely be back there at Wolfies and I already know I want to try the fish tacos next! As for a few negative comments I say cut them some slack people they just opened! Food was absolutely horrible. A Prime rib sandwich is actually a beef shaved Philly Cheesecake type sandwich but there was so much fat in the meat it was bad. The pulled pork sandwich was dry and had so much spice heat that it was inedible. The fries were nothing special. We are not any means food critics but their food was awful. Prices were high. The Bar area was so loud that everyone else sitting on the deck overlooking the beautiful lake couldn't relax and speak at a normal volume due to the loud bar customers. Felt very sorry for an older couple sitting next to the bar screened area. Service was good. Our waiter was new and young. Overall Disappointed. read more

I've only been to this location once and it was a great experience. Service was great, food was great. I had the pulled pork sandwich which did not disappoint. Had the jalapeno cheese sticks which had just enough kick to them. The view is great to look out at Geist reservoir. It can get busy quickly. I would definitely eat here again read more

I held a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad at Wolfie's Geist on Friday November 30th 2018. Steve, the store's GM, was readily available during my research process and always helpful in getting the logistics of the event established and confirmed. We opted for a secluded location in the corner of the dining room near the bar (40 attendees), and an appetizer buffet with 4 offerings for the event. We had two servers taking care of our group and they did a stellar job. They kept the buffet stocked with hot/well-prepared food, and everyone's drinks full. They kept many separate tabs organized among the group's bar drinks. The manager on duty was present to frequently check on our group, seeing if our servers needed any back-up/assistance, and helped continuously run food out to our group. Great sense of overall teamwork from everyone in involved. Kudos to the team in the kitchen, all of our appetizers were timely, hot, and delicious. Chips/white queso, meatballs, chicken quesadillas, and wings (dry rub & honey sirracha). We were able to watch sporting events on the array of flatscreen TV's around the restaurant, and enjoyed the music from the performer in the opposite corner of the bar. In the end, I was happy that I selected Woflie's Geist for our event. All of our guests were impressed with the decor/atmosphere of the facility, the quality of food, and great service. If you need a place for a rehearsal dinner, you can stop looking. We had an amazing meal and service for our son's rehearsal dinner in October. I was amazed by our food selections and the taste was amazing! We received so many complements regarding the meal, location, service given...the list can go on and on. The price was very reasonable. This was my 2nd time here. Excited to see someone take this location over and hopeful, as many others are, this location will be a hit. It's the closest thing we have to Ricks Boat Yard, with a nice view of the water. They have done a nice job with the inside and the bar area is nicer than what was there prior to Wolfie's. First visit I ordered the pulled pork without bun and it was very good and I said I would get it again to my wife. It was a little dry so I asked for a side of BBQ sauce. To my surprise I see on my bill I was charged 50c for the extra sauce. Never in all the meals I've eaten out has the restaurant charged for extra side of any kind of sauce. I brought that to the attention of the manager on my way out just to verify if that was correct. He said I should not have been charged and he would be sure the staff understands that. So the second time I bring 6 other men with me to lunch. I talked up the pulled pork so 4 of us ordered it and the waitress joked guess it better be good or you might be in trouble. Well, this time the pulled pork was so sparse on the sandwich it felt like we were eating a slaw sandwich with a little meat on a roll. I was afraid to ask my friends there thoughts. When the waitress checked on us I asked her for extra BBQ sauce and the waitress asked if the other men wanted some too which they did and they commented to me how little meat was on the sandwich. We get our bills and we were each charged 25c for extra BBQ sauce. It was only 25c so no one cared to complain about the charge. I felt responsible for their bad meals since I talked it up. Everyone said the same, too much slaw, not enough pulled pork, and too dry. Everyone said they would not order it again if that's what's normal. I had to explain the quantity and quality of my BBQ pork the first time I was there was so much bigger and better. The other 2 men said they liked their non pork meals. I know you are still working out the kinks, training staff and trying to bring a good experience for your customers. But its got to get better quicker because word spreads easily if service, quality, and good value for your money is not up to par - People will stop coming. I sincerely hope you turn things around quickly. I'm sure my wife and I will be back to try something different, but not sure I'd get the pulled pork again yet. read more

Opening day so probably too early to really evaluate. Sat at the bar and took almost 10 minutes before one of the servers ask if I'd had my drink order yet which hadn't even been placed. The food was decent although the tenderloin to me seemed over cooked fries are nothing special. The new Decour is great and hopefully once the kinks are worked out it will be worth returning . I should note that the wine list is pretty non existent but hopefully that can chang Second try My wife loved the crab cakes and the tuna appetizer was good but I did not get the large clump of lettuce with no dressing. There has been no change in the lack of decent wines. The wine list at their Italian House restaurant in Westfield is outstanding as is the food. Wish they would blend the two. Love Wolfies. Loved their location at Morse and now have been to their location at Geist a few times. I like that it's NOT overly upscale and food is MUCH better and more reasonable than The Lakehouse was. I've had the nachos, ribs, chicken tenders, burgers and more and all have been great. Service has been fine even on busy days (also better than Lakehouse). Would highly recommend if you're looking for good, casual dining with a great view. I hope you stay Wolfies! read more

Wolfies is a fabulous restaurant bordering the Geist reservoir. The decor fitting for gatherings and small bites. Although primarily a bar seating is available for children. Their menu is small but incorporates many items for the varied pallets. I truly enjoy this atmosphere and food. The flagship store in Westfield is the best I encountered. The owner takes every step to ensure quality great service and memorable experiences. A must try. read more

The only thing this place has in its favor is the location. Complete shithole! The service sucks, the food is worse, and management wouldn't even come to my table to discuss the issues. Don't waste your time. Hit up the pizza place across the parking lot. After waiting 10 minutes for a server, we finally ordered and it took an hour to get our food. When we did get our food the shrimp tacos came out plain. We were told that they were out of pico and guacamole.. They offered to replace meal, but we'd already waited an hour, so no thanks! Then our burger was ordered medium-well, it was cooked to medium-rare. Half of the fries were uncooked. Just a complete disappointment. They did take the tacos off of the bill, but would only discount the undercooked burger to half off. Piss poor leadership. We won't be back to this location until it another restaurant, which that won't take long considering the shit-show that Wolfies Geist is. read more

Went there on Thursday night with relatives visiting from Asia. Food was ok. Our waitress was wonderful. However, the place was filthy. Flies everywhere inside the restaurant. And lady's restroom was disgusting and smelled terribly. Told the teenagers who were at the reception desk about the restroom condition. They just ignored and continued giggling. This was our first visit to Wolfies and the view is great. We opted to sit at the bar and sat there about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. It was a Tuesday evening so while there were many patrons the restaurant was not overly busy or crowded. Our food when it arrived was delicious. I had the blackened chicken salad and would def get it again. Parking was not a problem and we will probably go back and hope that the bartender was just having an off night. read more

Service was good but the place looks dirty, from the floors looking awful to the menus all sticky and nasty. Ordered the seared ahi tuna and it came out like a raccoon or cat had it before they served it to me. Requested another order and they totally overcooked it, was not seared but well done. Love Wolfies at Geist...BUT I have one suggestion. The new Mango Thai Mahi is fantastic, but it comes with a gigantic amount of rice and no vegetable. I tried to make a reservation this afternoon for a 6:00 PM dinner for 4, as I was meeting with friends who are not from the area and wanted to go somewhere different. I was told that they do not accept reservations when I had called, but the staff said there would be no wait if we arrived before 6:30, as they don't get busy until around 7 or 8pm. We arrived just before 6:00 PM to be told promptly that it would be an hour wait, and while I understand no one can predict the future, this seemed a little much. We initially decided to wait; it wasn't long before we realized that several parties had come in with reservations that they apparently did allow. What was more upsetting is that there was a bar area with open seating that we were willing to take, but the staff only allows it as first come first serve. This makes everyone eating uncomfortable as crowds of people are constantly just walking through the dining area to catch an open table. The front staff made no effort to be polite or accommodating, nor did they seem very competent in their ability to make seating reservations. At one point another gentleman that had also tried to make a reservation for 7 earlier in the day arrived and the staff seemed puzzled that he was trying to accommodate 7 people without a reservation. He had clearly explained that he had called and was told they do not take reservations, and was rightfully upset when told there would be well over an hour wait to be seated. The man was upset but polite until the point where another staff member decided to address the situation by yelling at the customer in a condescending tone, stating that they don't take reservations (which is still a mystery). Ultimately this caused a scene, making things very uncomfortable for everyone waiting, which was the point we (and several other) individuals decided to go elsewhere. It's sad that such a wonderful location cannot seem to find proper management. read more

I ordered the Mac and cheese wanting comfort food. The server told me it was her fav so I was excited. What I got was a huge bowl of boiled macaroni noodles with queso cheese sauce. When I think of Mac and cheese it has a cheese sauce with an egg to hold it all together. If you are going to charge $10.00 for a bowl then it needs to be better than that. read more

We've been here twice since it became Wolfies. The service is not the best. We came for lunch on a Friday. Plenty of tables. We asked to be seated in the covered outside area but the table had to be cleaned. We sit down and tell the bus person but strangely, she clean an empty table and leaves. On the other hand, our waitress was on the ball. We ordered burgers and they were mediocre. Neither was done to our specifications (medium, medium-well, etc). You can customize a tastier quarter-pounder at McDonald's... There were no other sides offered besides fries. Boring "choice". Such a great location but the service and food taste is subpar. read more

I first called ahead due to having a party of 9 to make sure we could get in and have a table ready upon our arrival. When we got there the hostess said that she took the call, but forgot to get the table ready.... After being sat our server quickly came to get drink orders, but then took a long time to come back for food orders. Then to top it all off there was some sort of dead bug in my child's milk, and the response from the server was, "oh that's gross," and still proceeded to charge me for said kids meal. It's really a shame because the food was great and a lot of good options, but the service and lack of urgency of a bug being anywhere close to our food/drink will not bring me back here again. read more

My son-in-law and I hosted a 50th birthday celebration lunch for 24 of my daughter's friends and relatives. The food was excellent, and the service was "masterminded" by Raquel, and she was awesome. We live about 2 miles away and decided to try Wolfies for the first time for our date night. Our experience was wonderful! The new restaurant is very nicely decorated and was very clean. It was a Friday evening and was very crowded with an estimated wait of 50 minutes. We found a table in the bar and decided to sit there. After about 10 minutes we received a text telling us a table was ready. We stayed in the bar since we had ordered already. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered an IPA on tap and after trying it wasn't in love with it. I told our server and he didn't hesitate to get me a different one. BTW, I found the beer prices very reasonable and the selection was good. I ordered the pork tenderloin with fries and a side of coleslaw and my wife ordered the chicken salad sandwich. The tenderloin was spectacular! It was cooked perfectly and was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My wife's chicken salad sandwich was very good and full of flavor. The bread it was on was toasted perfectly and buttery. The fries were fine but not memorable. The coleslaw, however, was wonderful! I am very pleased with Wolfies and plan to bring our kids with us next time. My only complaint for this visit was the very inaccurate estimate from the hostess stand and the inefficiency they showed when collecting names. Not a big deal, but additional training on wait times may be worth it. Well done overall! read more

Comedy of Errors today at Wolfies. Kids burger should never have been served as it was completely smashed and soggy. I would have returned it even at McDonalds. Cold broccoli, missing mashed potatoes, and no fries all added up to no apology from the waitress and an offer of a free dessert from manager - which never came. Only "excuse" was that they were down a cook and would fix it. 20 mins later the potatoes arrived after everyone else was finished with meal. read more

We were greeted by a hostess outside, who took our name and preferred seating, we asked for outside. We were escorted to a lounge outside the restaurant, We were immediately asked if we would like something to drink. We had been told the wait would be around forty minutes. However, it was only twenty-five. We were escorted to our table outside and immediately waited on by Cole, who was very attentive and made suggestions for dinner and dessert. The food was prepared to order, the steak was outstanding and steam green beans were great. My wife had the grilled salmon salad which was also outstanding. During our meal, Cole asked if we would like a refill on our drinks and after serving the meal stopped by to make sure it was to our satisfaction. We have been to the 96th Street Wolfies and always had great service and exceptional quality food. We will return and look forward to having dinner with friends there next week. They better do something quick about the chef and/or the kitchen or Wolfies is going to follow the same fate as the prior owners. You can't succeed with serving mediocre food. This was our sixth visit. Last weekend just about did it for us after my wife and out-of-town guest were served the worse ribs known to mankind. And this was followed by being served soggy french fries instead of sweet potato fries as ordered. When our waitress apologized and corrected the order, we pointed to the 2 orders of dried-out ribs. Yuck! The manager came over to the table and after apologizing offered a fresh batch of ribs that just came out of the oven with "meat falling off the bones". Are you kidding me? These should have been served in the first place. The chef or the food server should never have allowed those first 2 plates to leave the kitchen. NEVER. The rice that was served with my very tiny piece of salmon must have been blended with Elmer's glue. Awful. I could have made a ball with the rice and played pitch 'n catch with it. This experience was similar with our other visits. Wolfies on 96th street is much, much better. Come on Geist. Get with it! read more

Very disappointing visit. Have eaten here a number of times and each time is successively worse than the previous visit. Stood at the bar for 10-15 minutes while we waited for our table. 5 -6 times a bar tender went past us with zero acknowledgement, taking care of people that stepped up after we had. (Never did get a drink) Got our table, waited about 10 minutes before I flagged down our waiter and asked if we could order. Ordered drinks, finally, another 10 - 15 minutes later we finally got our drinks (nothing complicated mind you, a Chardonnay and a draft beer). Ordered dinner. A little later finally got our food. My wife's tenderloin was both burnt and cold. Waiter was very nice about it and did take it off our bill. Whole experience was a disappointment. This place has definitely declined since it opened. Not sure if management has changed but it's a mess now. Completely understand the challenges of operating a restaurant in a covid world. Biggest problem was the zero acknowledgement of multiple bartenders while trying to order a drink while waiting for our table. That's not just bad service. That's rude behavior. Couple that with cold, burnt food and it isn't exactly a place I plan on visiting again anytime soon. read more
