There is a ton of outdoor seating with views of the water. The food is just good American fare. Prices are very reasonable too. I finally visited Wolfie's a few days ago as it has been on my list. The ambiance is everything I expected, and with patio season starting back up, I was excited to finally go. We had a great time with our large group at lunch and were seated right away as it was not busy at all. Our waitress was great and very attentive and prompt. The menu has a lot of choices that are reasonably priced. I opted for the parm crusted chicken Caesar salad and it was a nice sized portion and was good. The chicken was lacking a bit in flavor but I enjoyed that it was a thin, lightly breaded cutlet. I see myself returning here for a nice time out on the marina! read more

We love going to Wolfies at Geist. We went in on St. Patrick's Day and expected a long wait, but we got seated right away. I will say, the host staff wasn't super welcoming, but I know they were busy. We had a great server named Zach, he was personable and attentive to our needs. We had a few cocktails and some pretzel breadsticks. Their pretzels are to die for. Deep fried and perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Then the queso to dip in... so good! The environment was typical of a restaurant, but there are definitely bar feels when you're in on a Friday night, which I like! Can't wait until the patio opens back up this spring! read more

We had a good experience on our last visit to this Wolfie's location (prior visits had been hit or miss, service-wise). While waiting for our outside table, we enjoyed a cocktail at the interior bar. Once seated on the patio, our server was attentive and friendly. She gave us her honest opinion when asked about certain menu items, which we always appreciate. We enjoyed the Boom Boom Cauliflower and Prime Rib Quesadilla starters as well as the Baja Shrimp Tacos. Everything tasted great and we would order the same items again! read more

If you haven't been, this is by far the best casual dining in Indy if you're looking for a nice patio with a view! The patio has terrific views of Geist & the food is very legit, especially for the money! I'd consider this place a $$$ value for $$ price in a $$$ setting! Most of their food is straight forward American dining, sort of a less rustic Big Woods. I have lunch here every so often and it is always good. Last week was disappointing. It was empty for lunch on a Monday, usually it has at least a few people. I ordered fish and chips, broccoli side was cooked excellent, fries were normal not excellent and the batter on the fish was light and crisp but the fish was so fishy smelling and taste. Thought it was me so took it home. Heated up in air fryer to make a fish taco but I couldn't even take one bite it was so so more fishy smelling and tasting. So this was a bad fish from the start. I will try eating again because I love this place for a nice girls lunch to talk and have a nice lake view. Review next time to see if it will stay a regular lunch place for me read more

Albeit the foreseen long wait to get seated, the food was HORRIBLE. We order fish & chips and the grilled salmon salad. Fish & chips were extra "fishy", ...as in this tasted like old fish. There was not enough lemon nor tartar sauce to cover the awful fishy taste. The grilled salmon salad had salmon that was grilled till it was leathery dry. The feta that was to be in the salad, somehow had blue cheese mixed into it, which was disgusting. The two tables on either side of us also had really bad experiences with the food that was order and sent their plates back (which we did not, but should have done). Best thing we ate were French fries, but could just as well get those anywhere else. Save your appetite , health , and money;... do NOT eat here. read more

Sure love the location! It's gorgeous here, right on the water. There are enormous windows so if you don't sit outside (but want to), you can still get a good view. This is still during the pandemic covid19 so normal precautions were made. They had sanitizers available. The wait staff was wearing masks(as required). The tables indoors and out were all spaced 6ft apart. So with that said.... We were seated immediately! Right by a window overlooking Geist reservoir. The wait staff took our order quickly, and did arrived timely. The food was so delicious! Everything was highly specialized -- the chef prepared a terrific menu. It was hard to decide. We settled on chicken skewers for a shared appetizer. Delicious. The salmon salad arrived but was not quite done, so they brought us another appetizer.... candied brussel sprouts I think.... Delicious again. I was happy that there was no issue with sending it back so they could cook it properly. My kiddo said the salmon salad was delicious. My pecan chicken salad was sweet, almost too sweet, but it was also.... what? Delicious! It's not exactly cheap, but the service and location are awesome. My son has gone with friends several times here before and loves everything he has tried. I can certainly agree with that! So if you're interested in an experience, try this out. read more

We finally made it to Wolfies! Since moving to Indy, we have tried to find waterfront locations to eat at periodically. A few months ago, we saw Wolfies pop up on our Google search. But every time we thought about going we were too impatient to drive there and then wait, as we were certain during summer nights it would be crowded. Finally--we decided to go there for lunch! Upon arrival, the hostess was friendly and informed us it would be a 15-20 minute wait for an outside table. We were fine with that and followed the COVID-19 instructions to wait outside. There was a very small section with maybe 6 chairs facing the water. We sat down and enjoyed the scenery and within 5 minutes we received a text stating our table was ready. The view from the patio dining encompasses the marina and you're able to watch people come in and out on their boats. Additionally, you're able to see all the mansions that border the water. Makes for good conversation! We're pretty sure one of them has an infinity pool with a water slide! We're trying to enjoy lighter food these days so we both opted for a salad. I honestly hate ordering salads out but the cobb salad sounded delicious so I went for it. Thank goodness--it was delicious! Their ranch is fabulous! If you know about making ranch dressing, they use buttermilk! So good! You may want to ask for a second of it-I used 1.5 servings. My husband ordered the Blacken Chicken Alpine salad. He enjoyed it--even saying it was delicious! Maybe one day we'll venture back for dinner! read more

They failed to add the grape tomatoes, but brought me some when I asked for them. My steak was also not cooked medium rare as asked. My child ordered the grilled chicken tenders which wasn't even chicken tenders- it looked like a boiled, frozen chicken breast. No seasoning, not the slightest bit grilled. So disappointing. It was a perfect night to do some outdoor dining. The restaurant was crowded, but that did not delay the service. I was greeted promptly and the host said that there would be a 30 minute wait. Well, it only took 15 minutes to seat us. The teenagers/young adults that I interacted with are very pleasant. The patio was quiet. The restaurant was clean. The music was at an acceptable level and it was a nice view of Geist Reservoir. I recommend the Brussels, Salmon Salad and the dessert with the caramel, apples and ice cream. All were seasoned just enough to make you want another bite. This visit was flawless! It is a great establishment for outdoor dining. I will be going back! read more

I love a place with a waterfront view, and this restaurant offers a gorgeous look at Geist Reservoir. There is outdoor and indoor seating. Also a screened in porch/bar area that has open seating for those over 21. Honestly the screened porch seating looked awesome, and might just sit there next time. The service was great from the hostess staff to our waiter. The food was also good! Typical bar-type food, I would say. My husbands boneless wings and fries were a little too hard but the sauces with the wings were excellent! I got the country fried chicken and it was actually super good! Would definitely get again. We've come here a lot over past 2 summers and every time is such a pleasant experience. Service is always friendly and prompt, drinks are strong and after trying probably half the menu I'd say the food is pretty great! Most recently I got the chicken quesadillas, I don't think I've ordered a quesadilla at a restaurant in a decade but they may become my new go to. My only caveat would be their oysters. Super pricey at $20 a half dozen for XL Delaware Bevan oysters that typically cost less than $1 each to bring in. I've tried them on 3 different occasions, always the same kind. Better suited for a Rockefeller type application than raw. But they aren't an oyster bar I guess so I digress. We've only sat inside once but it was clean with roomy booths. The real star is that patio though. My kids love watching the boats pass while we eat. Huge parking lot is a plus too! read more

This place is a whole vibe! I met a friend here for dinner and we sat in the atrium area. It was the best of both worlds, a little bit of inside with a bit of outside. The menu sounded so good that I couldn't make a decision. My friend got Brussel sprouts and nachos. I finally decided on the bbq burger. My food was great! My friend didn't like her nachos but she didn't want to cause problems so she didn't say anything. They offered a to go box for her and thats when she finally mentioned she didn't like the nachos that the chips were kind of stale. The guy commented that the chips are made fresh daily so they shouldn't have been stale. About 5 min later he came with a new bill stating they tried the chips in the kitchen and realized they were stale so they took them off the bill. I thought that was a really nice thing to do even though she didn't ask. read more

When you want a little Marina meal in the middle of the continent and Indiana, this is the place to go. Going past the little strip mall and marina a parking was fine. Just watch for it. The building is BIG with plenty of room and screens to watch sports. We chilled out on the deck and watched the boats bob. Our server was very good. She checked in as was efficient. Food was good although I got the blackened mahi-mahi which tasted great! I just thought the price was a little high for basic school lunch peas carrots and rice. I was still hungry after my plate was clear so I ate some of my boyfriend's fries. His chicken club was great he said! Definitely more food than I had. My kids got the cheese quesadilla and chicken tenders and we're happy with it. All together our tab was around 60$ which I thought was a great price for what we got. Just wish mine had more on it. We made our first visit to Wolfies today and I'm glad we did. We were seated promptly at noonish and had no reservations. Our server promptly took our cocktail order and then returned to get food orders placed. My cocktail was probably my least favorite part of the meal but I got what I ordered so next time it will be a spicy margarita. We started with an order of bone in wings to share. They had a variety of different sauces to choose from and we got dips for blue cheese and sweet chili. The wings were delicious and crispy on the outside with tender and juicy on the inside. Don't miss out on these. I had a cheeseburger with a side of fried Brussels sprouts. They were both tasty and plentiful. My husband got a pecan, Brussels, and feta salad that he really enjoyed. The salad leftovers were still great the next day. He also had a cup of seafood chowder that he said was probably the best he'd ever had. It was thick and creamy. The atmosphere was casual and moderately noisy with multiple big screen TVs around the bar area with tournament basketball playing. Location, location, location. We were boating and were able to find a spot along the dock outside of Wolfie's to pull up to and walk up the ramp to the restaurant. It was a busy day on the water and so the restaurant was pretty full, especially the outdoor seating which we managed to get one of the last tables. We were seated promptly and our wait staff did a good job of bringing out the beverages right away. When our appetizers arrived, they came with extra mini plates so that the appetizer could be shared. The Brussels Sprouts looked appealing, but were definitely undercooked (which gives them a funky smell.) I like mine crispy with a bit of crunch. These were chewy. So, no five from me. The main courses were pretty good, but my pan crusted chicken was very thin, which made it a bit dry. Could have used some additional seasoning which the outside tables didn't have. But the portions were generous and there were lots of options to choose from. So, nobody left hungry, but just a tad underwhelmed on the flavor. Great view of the reservoir from the patio so you get the benefit of being on the water without the rocking motion! ha!
