I was still hungry after my plate was clear so I ate some of my boyfriend's fries. His chicken club was great he said! Definitely more food than I had. My kids got the cheese quesadilla and chicken tenders and we're happy with it. All together our tab was around 60$ which I thought was a great price for what we got. Just wish mine had more on it. Server was very nice and went out of his way to make sure everything was great including changing the tv channels and we were never left alone thirsty. Location, location, location. We were boating and were able to find a spot along the dock outside of Wolfie's to pull up to and walk up the ramp to the restaurant. It was a busy day on the water and so the restaurant was pretty full, especially the outdoor seating which we managed to get one of the last tables. We were seated promptly and our wait staff did a good job of bringing out the beverages right away. When our appetizers arrived, they came with extra mini plates so that the appetizer could be shared. The Brussels Sprouts looked appealing, but were definitely undercooked (which gives them a funky smell.) I like mine crispy with a bit of crunch. These were chewy. So, no five from me. The main courses were pretty good, but my pan crusted chicken was very thin, which made it a bit dry. Could have used some additional seasoning which the outside tables didn't have. But the portions were generous and there were lots of options to choose from. So, nobody left hungry, but just a tad underwhelmed on the flavor. Great view of the reservoir from the patio so you get the benefit of being on the water without the rocking motion! ha! This is a great and frequent choice for us on a nice day, due to the outdoor patio right on the water. I mainly order the burger or the pan crusted chicken. Both of them are very appetizing. The last time I went, the mashed potatoes were a little cold, but overall, it has been tasty. I trade the broccoli for French fries, and they never have issues. They also have an outdoor bar area on the back side by the water, if you just want to grab a drink. They seem to do a good job with covid changes, and taking care of the customers with spacing, masks, etc. read more

When my food arrived, I couldn't even see it and had to use my phone for lights. Sadly when our food came it was cold. It took awhile for our waitress to circle back around but when she did, she didn't hesitate to offer to remake it. Thankfully the remade food came out and was much hotter. My friend enjoyed her ribs. My tenderloin was very plain. There wasn't much seasoning and it reminded me of a pattied chicken sandwich you get in school. The fries were thankfully good. Came here for dinner on a Friday night with a friend who lives close by. They made a big improvement on the buildings predecessor, big improvement. The interior finishes have been updated, and now has a warm cozy vibe. The menu is mid size with that lake/lodge feel. Standard American fare appetizers, sandwiches, salads, a few entrees. My friend ordered a blue buffalo chicken salad, and I ordered a Blackwood chicken club. My sandwich was yummy but a bit messy. The sandwich was cut in half and 85% of the chicken was on one half of the sandwich. My friends salad was good but looks nothing like the picture of it online. Our waiter was awesome! Friendly, personable, great service. The restaurant wasn't very busy for a Friday night and we chose to sit on the patio which is 21 and over because it's directly adjacent to the bar. I wish I would've listened to the reviews and not driven 35 minutes for subpar food and messed up orders. Unfortunately, I did not; so here's my review in case others might want to be a tad bit smarter and take my advice. As others have stated, the actual restaurant had a nice feel to it, especially being right on the Geist Reservoir. However, it did have a dirty feeling to it. There was quite a bit of debris under our booth. I can overlook things like that if the food is great. Sadly, that wasn't the case. First off, I would like to mention that, even though masks are mandated and they had some available at the front desk, about 80% of guests walking in did not have a mask on and no one asked them to put one on. Sorry for the side note. Back to the review: The server came to our table. Very personable. With this being our first time here, we asked for appetizer recommendations, and the boom boom cauliflower was named off after several types of nachos. Neither of us being a nacho fan, we opted for the cauliflower. My husband was torn on what to order for dinner, so we noticed the parm crusted chicken was one of the favorites on the menu, and we asked our server how it was. He raved about it, so problem solved -- my husband went with that. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with the buffalo sauce and blue cheese and ranch dressings on the side. The cauliflower came out, but we weren't provided plates, so we shared off the same plate. No big deal. The batter was very, very salty. And I love salt. So to the average person, I would recommend against this, especially if they have sodium dietary restrictions. Overall, it wasn't too bad. I might even venture to say I would order it again. It really went downhill when our main entrees came out. Our server brought buffalo chicken tacos instead of the chicken wrap and said "they're about the same" and asked if I was okay with those. Uhhhh, no! It's not about the same. The chicken wrap has fried tenders; the tacos had some cold, bland shredded chicken and tomatoes all over it. I can't eat tomatoes, so that would've been an issue. The chicken's breading was in pieces and looked destroyed. Unfortunately, the entire meal was also cold and had obviously been sitting awhile by the looks of the mashed potatoes. The server went and got my wrap and brought it out quickly, and then we waited for the reheated chicken, broccoli, and taters to come out. We knew it was reheated because the breading was all messed up like before. By this point, I wasn't really in the mood to eat anymore, so I took a couple bites of the unimpressive chicken wrap and my husband took a few bites of the chicken that was severely lacking seasoning of some type. We packed everything up to take home to feed to the dogs. At least they got some enjoyment out of it. The server did have my chicken wrapped removed from the bill, so our whole bill was under $35, which was basically for an alcoholic beverage, a soda, and some of the cauliflower appetizer. We could only eat about half of it because of the amount of salt in the breading. The server apologized for the kitchen mix-ups, but a good server should've noticed my meal was wrong (maybe he did and was hoping I would just accept the tacos) and should've seen the terrible breading on the chicken and sent these items back to be remade before bringing them out. I'm giving two stars because, although I wouldn't say he's a great waiter, he had a nice demeanor and seemed sincerely apologetic and also for the overall atmosphere of the establishment, although it definitively could've been cleaner and the hostess should've enforced the statewide mask mandate. read more

We have been coming here for years. There are so many "areas" within this restaurant to dine. Upstairs (21+) is open seating and a full menu. It's actually a hidden gem up there. Not sure what's going on at Wolfies these days. The two times we went this month, the food was disappointing and service was slow. First time the manager came to apologize for an ice-cold tenderloin served on a bun that was hard as a rock. He explained that two had been sitting in the window for quite some time and the server must have grabbed the wrong one. All the while we had been waiting for them to bring a wedge salad but didn't get that till after the second tenderloin was served (which was pretty small and underwhelming for a wedge salad). Second time we came by boat and ordered chicken tenders and a wedge salad for carry out. They said it would be done in approx. 30 minutes. We were having fun enjoying our drinks and talking to others who had docked next to us and realized, 1 1/2 hours later as others came and went, that our food hadn't yet arrived. We had to call and inquire when they may be delivering it. They said to give them 10 more minutes (probably the time it took to make the lost order). The chicken was good, but again, they couldn't get the salad right. Check out this photo of the wedge of garbage they served. Had to call back and ask for a fresh one that was fit to eat. We got the deep fried pretzel (the only thing that would have made it better would have been a nice rustic honey mustard) but the cheese was good as well. I haven't been to Wolfies in a while but this trip did not disappoint. Upon arriving, we were told we would have to wait 30 minutes. We ended up only having to wait about 10 minutes. I love when a restaurant overshoots their time. We sat at a really cute table in the bar area with a little fire next to it. It was absolutely perfect with the snowy weather that was happening outside. I started dinner with their peanut butter cup martini. I will be the first to admit that I am not a whiskey fan but this martini was hands down one of the best martinis I have had. It was the perfect amount of peanut butter to alcohol. As an appetizer, we ordered the pretzels. The cheese that came with it was delicious. Our pretzels were cooked to perfection and weren't overly salty. For dinner, I ordered the stake salad with blue cheese dressing on the side. It was everything that I wanted in a salad. The stake was cooked just how I like. There was also a good ratio of stake to addings to lettuce. You could get a little in each bit. We also ordered the chicken sandwich. They suggested we put the hot sause on the side as well as get a side of ranch. The sandwich was a really good size and also good perfectly. I've been to Wolfies in Westfield and this way my first time at this location. The restaurant is huge and has a cool outdoor patio too- it was covered for winter but would be nice in the summer too especially over looking Geist. They had a pretty good beer selection but nothing that really fit my preference (no stouts or cider) - as a table we shared 3 different appetizers - loaded fries which were pretty good, spinach and artichoke which was my favorite, and pretzel sticks. I really liked the pretzel sticks and queso too just maybe a bit salty. I ordered a wedge salad for my meal which was good- next time I would get dressing on the side since it seemed like too much for my preference. I don't recall what restaurant was here before Wolfies but they've done a great job revamping the place. It's nice and cozy on the inside with ample outdoor seating. We opted to sit inside it was a little chilly but definitely want to go back to enjoy the view. Wait estimated at 30 minuets but we were seated in 5. Service not bad. We decided to share the wolfie fries as an appetizer. I think they were lacking in toppings we had a lot of dry fries. My husband got the Mac and cheese with crusted chicken. Not too bad. I got the Baja fish tacos which had the spicy symbol but lacked spice. I found them to be a little bland. Had potential but definitely was missing something. We've always had great service (and it's so appreciated when you have two young kids and feel like an inconvenience at times). If you're out on Geist, it's a great spot to dock and eat a nice lunch. Chicken wings has been my thing lately!! It was late and near closing time....my other half was tired and ready to turn in for the night....so I gave him my sad face! We called in double order for Parmesan wings and chicken Quesadillas. Picked up our order and settled at the table to chow down! To my surprise, we had plain fried wing (dings) each with a small, some unnoticeable, splattering of tasteless sauce that was supposed to be Parmesan! This may be how they do it.....hmmmm....I told my hubz that maybe they ran out and had to do the best they could manage. We took some family from out of town here, having excellent experiences in the past... Ordered nachos (full order) for app and pretzel sticks. The 4 pretzel sticks were fine, queso was good. Nachos were a good sized portion, a little skimpy on the toppings (lots of plain nachos) Tacos were decent, a little overpriced but pretty good flavor and toppings. I ordered a full Alpine chicken salad. I will say, in the past, their portion size was about 3x bigger. Enough to share between 2 people. This $14 salad came out and was actually a side salad size! 6 small pieces of chicken atop a very modest portion of lettuce. Went for lunch, with my wife, and decided to catch a nice view with lunch. Wasn't too busy but steady and our waiter was awesome. First time I've ever had a waiter let me know my main course was going to be out in about 5 min. The appetizer, Buffalo chicken nachos, was really good. The knock would be not enough chicken, and the chicken we did have was a little dry. Overall real good flavors and portion size was great. Our main courses were great as well. Huge portions on the fish and chips. Warning: it does come out really hot. I had to wait a good 5 minutes before being able to eat it without going "shdjfhrjdnrndjends" to cool it down in my mouth. Wife loved her Mahi Mahi. None of the food, I believe came from a freezer, or at least didn't taste like it. Wide assortment of drinks available. Specials everyday. We were disappointed when our 24 oz beer came they were in plastic cups. I can see the need for them for the Beer Garden, but we were inside. Overall great restaurant. Went here on a Friday night...a little worried that there would be a wait at 6:30. We were happily surprised that our party of four lucked out and got seated right away. It did fill up later, but we were a little hesitant of a place not being packed at prime dinner time on a Friday. Anyway, the food tasted good; nothing to write home about. I was hopeful my tenderloin would meet or exceed my expectations, seeing as how we are in Indiana. Unfortunately, it was just okay and I would not order it again. It was dry and overcooked and the taste was underwhelming. But even more disappointing was the onion rings. All five of them. I'm a huge onion ring lover and get excited when I go to a new place and see rings on the menu. I felt extreme disappointment when my dinner arrived and no joke, there were only five small onion rings on the plate. Same with my fiend's order: five rings. Thinking it was just a "one-off" or they were just emptying a basket before they fried more, we actually ordered a "full order" of rings. A basket of of fresh, hot onion rings arrived! All seven of those rings tasted delicious but, at more than a dollar an onion ring...felt like a rip off. Service was a little slow, water glasses went empty for most of the meal and the food wasn't a good value for the price. I can't see us returning anytime soon. read more

We didn't have a reservation, and our group grew to 15 from the original 10 that we had given the hostess. They did their best to accommodate us, and we ended up at two tables. This was my first visit to Wolfies. I decided to get the Hand Battered Chicken Tenders with the Wolfies rub. I also got the traditional wings with the sesame Thai sauce. Sauce was good, wings were a bit dry and scrawny. Some of my club members got appetizers including the Boom Boom Cauliflower and Buffalo Chicken Nachos. They were both really good. I heard the Prime Rib sandwich was pretty tasty as well. Overall everyone was satisfied with their food. My meal left a bit to be desired. I wasn't impressed, and I liked the nacho appetizer better. Service was pretty decent and they kept the refills coming. It was a busy evening, but they were attentive. I actually returned the following Saturday for dinner with my cousin. First off, the views alone if you're sitting outside are worth the drive if you're not from the area . You have your choice of on the deck or a covered patio (where we sat) We originally thought it was going to be too busy to get in but surprisingly, there wasn't a wait! We ordered the pretzel breadsticks for our starter and it came with the BEST queso! It tasted like someone's abuelita was in the back solely in charge of the queso making lol! My fiancé ordered the Mango Thai Mai Mai that had a mango and pineapple chutney on top served over a bed of rice . The fish was a little dry but the chutney definitely helped with that . I had the Cocktail Cobb Salad that came with avocados, chicken , blue cheese, bacon, tomatoes on romaine lettuce. Their house ranch is absolutely delicious.. trust me, always go with ranch! I also enjoyed the Tropical Mai Tai and let me tell you, if you're not a heavy drinker, this will more than do they trick (wink wink) Our server had a very dry sense of humor but was also very courteous. They have a wide variety of menu items and recently we discovered two amazing items that we just had to order - the shrimp cocktail and oysters. (Big seafood fan over here!) We were very pleased and I would most definitely order both again. Honestly, my favorite thing about this restaurant is its setting -- being its nestled right against Geist Reservoir. Watching the boats - or just the water - is incredibly soothing and at times it makes you think that you're actually at the beach. Yes, it's that good!
