This has to be one of the worst service I ever experienced. It took us 30 minutes to order, 20 minutes to get our food, but then they forgot our salad, rude af. Food was average, but honestly, I can get better food at McDonalds. We order too much thinking it was going to be good but we had a lot of left overs, and you know Asians, we don't waste food so we ask for a to go box and then the waitress rolled her eyes at me. We waited 10 minutes and she still haven't gotten our to go box, so our "waiter" who wasn't really a waiter came up to us and said we need a to go box and the bill. We finally got our to go box and paid the bill but had to wait even more so I was so sick of it, I walked up to the guy, and gave him the bill and left, I should of tipped him $1. I used to spend a lot of time at places that smelled like this 30 plus years ago when I was young, but they were all Bars, not some place claiming to be a restaurant! Seriously, Who still allows smoking ???? I can't believe the $$$ spent by the Bar Flies smoking more than offsets the people who turn around when opening the door or never return for a second visit because of the smell. Wolfies uses to be one of my favorite places to get wings. I ordered quite a few wings to have a party, and when I went to get the wings, they were soggy from the aluminum pans they put them in. And the worst part was they had almost no flavor by themselves. I had to get a few jars of wing sauce from the store on my way home to make the wings taste more like hot wings and less like regular fried chicken. It's sad to say, but this restaurant has gone downhill. It used to be worth the price, but now it's not worth even half the price. read more

I did not care for this place at all. The outside appearance isn't terrible, but the inside atmosphere isn't welcoming. The floor, tables, and chairs were all sticky. Even though most of the dining room was empty, the next three groups of people to come in were seated right beside us. We got water and an iced tea, which tasted terrible. I ordered a chicken tender salad with no onions, my boyfriend ordered 20 chicken wings and the pick two appetizer with fried mushrooms and fries. The fries were very crispy, they seemed a bit over cooked, there was almost no potato to them. The fried mushrooms were very good though. I ordered my salad with no onions, but it came out covered in chopped onions. The waitress politely and promptly took it back and brought me a new one. We wanted to order the wings with 4 different sauces so split the 20 into 4 groups of 5. We were informed that orders can only be split in half except for on Wing Wednesday. So we got half mild and half just hot. The mild weren't that good, but the hot were okay. They weren't that spicy. The wings were a decent size, but one seemed to be bad, it was mushy. The floor looked like very old concrete, the chairs are wooden, the booths are uncomfortable, but the tables are large- plenty of space which is nice. When we first got there 70's music and classic rock were plying at a good volume. Not too loud, but loud enough you couldn't hear the next table crunching on their food. Then, towards the end, 90's (pop?) music came on quite loud. The ceilings are very high, lots of advertisements/posters everywhere, and a comfortable temperature. There are a lot of nice tvs in every direction, and a variety of programs being played. Overall this could be a nice place if you want to just relax at a lower class place and pig out on crawfish. I felt uncomfortable here, and the food was not good for a $40 bill. From what I've heard from others, service is a hit or miss here. We were lucky enough to have a good waitress. Reviews that I read before going here were mixed: some people loved it some did not. I suppose it depends on how nice of a place you feel comfortable eating at and what deal you can get for what you want to eat. read more

I have been a repeat customer for over 11 years and had just dined there 1 1/2 weeks ago & had my daughter dine there 2 days before my horrible experience on 3/19/19. Generally, as a current food service employee & with a hospitality management degree, I understand that people & places have their good days and bad days, however, the level of bad I experienced was an all time low- enough that a review was actually warranted. After dealing 6 hours at the hospital, my mother and I couldn't wait to go back to Wolfies to enjoy some pretty darn good salsa, paired with chips and queso, while we relaxed and dined. With the family dining area only 1/4 occupied, I chose a booth with a tv directly above so that we could watch the NCAA game being shown. After 25-30 minutes later, a man showed up and chose to sit directly in the booth behind us, although the dining area was still relatively empty, this guy could have chosen a booth with its own tv. About 10 minutes later his lady friend showed up to join him. Up to this point, we had received our appetizer (queso did have a hair pulled out approximately the middle of the way, but I never had the chance to inform the waitstaff). Those of us in food service know no one is going to die from a hair in your food so I wasn't really too worried to report it. Also our main courses had arrived and we were just getting ready to enjoy the food-chicken tender platter and a fully-loaded baked potato-nothing out of the ordinary to report. Less than 10 minutes since this woman joined the table behind, I overhear, "can you change the tv to the Rockets game? My friend here can see the game but I can't." So while my mother and I ate food and actively watched the tv, a man arrives at our table, stands there with a remote, and without even asking us if we would mind if he changed the channel, just changes it while we are watching the game. I start to object when the "owner" walks off. I follow him and ask a staff member to find the man with the remote. He returns to the table and later I find that my mother informs him we were watching the tv and he should have asked. He then finds me, away from the other tables, and I tell him his actions were incredibly rude and that he should have asked us first if we would object to the channel being changed. What I encountered was a butt-hurt owner who was just told by my 77-year old mother he was in the wrong and then gets further butt hurt I got after him in front of his staff. After repeatedly telling him he was wrong, he never offered an apology. Instead, his pathetic attempt to provide customer service to smooth things out was to change the channel back to ESPN on a tv which was over 7 ft away. Now mind you, all this selfish woman had to do was get up and sit on the same side as her date to be able to see the game, but instead felt that she was entitled to make us watch what she wanted. This owner then made comments that we were the only table in the restaurant interested in the NCAA game, that they weren't even great universities, whatever, whatever as he desperately tried to justify his actions. I asked a young lady to please remove my $4.99 baked potato from the table and that it would be nice to remove it from the bill. The owner then shows back up to say he would box it up for me but would not comp the baked potato. Still butt hurt to admit he was in the wrong, and rightfully knew he should remove the item, he argues back and forth with me about the comp and can't grasp the fact that a patron could have their appetite ruined by his lack of customer service. In the end, this owner's stupidity thought he was getting back at me by not comping the bill when in reality I was being treated and he just screwed over my mother. Way to go winner! In essence, if you care about a great dining experience, and love great quality food and a fun atmosphere, this is probably not your place. You can easily get delicious chips, salsa & queso just about anywhere. Same with chicken tenders and a baked potato. Same with crawfish or seafood for that matter. It is apparent that this owner, I'd find out his name & title during this debacle, is only interested in getting your money regardless if you enjoy your dining experience. There is no way I would ever give my money, or recommend to anyone to spend their money, at this establishment, especially with an owner who clearly is devoid of customer service skills. Feel free to browse through older posts, they all essentially state the same sentiments. Pros: chips, salsa, queso, chicken tenders, crawfish seasoned (sometimes overcooked), fries, baked potato, gumbo (although arrived lukewarm, the bowl serving is extremely generous. I came in with my family Saturday night, we were told it was going to be 45 minutes until we got a table, the 4 hostesses were super nice and made sure we got to a table after 25 minutes of waiting, one of them even came by and said our table was almost ready they were just finishing setting up. When we sat down at the table our server (wish I had her name) got our drink orders, between 5 adults we ordered one domestic and one premium bucket. She brought back 2 waters, I guess for all of us to share? Assuming I wasn't going to be drinking that night she didn't take my drink order I ended getting a michalada after not being asked because I figured why not we were celebrating my birthday. We never were asked if we wanted appetizers and after we got our beer buckets she took our order. We started off with 4lbs of crawfish and some kids meals and a chili burger. This is where we really start to get ticked off, we finished our crawfish and without even asking if we wanted to order anything else she comes by and puts the check down, WE ARENT EVEN FINISHED WITH THE BEER BUCKETS. We catch her walking off and told her we weren't done we wanted to order more crawfish, she looks at us and apologizes and said they had just ran out of crawfish... I'm sorry but I've been working in the same industry for almost 5 years. If it's last call or somethings about to run out you tell your tables before so maybe they can have a chance to order or decide on something else. We got a menu decided to get wings then she came back and said her manager told her they have 50 more pounds, what?!?! That's almost 2 whole sacks, at the point we figure she's trying really hard to get us out. We decide we want to finish with crawfish. We order 6 more pounds, we got down to our last few crawfish, a couple of more beers to go, the check gets set down once again without asking if we want to order anything else. Then it gets really bad, we are charged 2 more buckets when we literally only ordered 2, how did they not get brought to our table?? Where did these ordered buckets go?? Is she trying to skimp us out of money?? And then once we asked she had another server come and explain it was a mistake??? WTH. SHE WAS AWFUL. she also never seemed like she wanted to be there constantly sitting down never cracked a smile. NOTHING. WORST SERVICE EVER! I really wish I had gotten this girls name but I can give a description... long dark curly hair, rolls eyes after you crack a joke, doesn't check on you AT ALL, sits at the hostess stand half of the night, and brings you the check multiple times before you can even finish your meal!! read more

I've only been here once, but I liked my experience nonetheless. I dig the atmosphere, it seemed low key for football, but still cool. They had plenty of flatscreens and from what I could see, you could get a mini radio at your table to listen to the game in case you were not within ear's reach of a TV. I'm new in town so I'm not sure if that's a common thing in Houston sports bars. Either way I thought it was cool. The manager/owner (not sure who) was kind enough to switch the channel to a game my BF wanted to watch. Service was good overall; I liked our server, she seemed attentive. Also, their appetizers were mighty tasty. If I remember correctly, I got the appetizer platter which had the most delicious fried mushrooms ever! However the only reason why I'm giving them four stars instead of five is because their food tasted like it had been sitting out for a bit. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't hot and I like my food to be fresh off the grill/oven. It's been about a month since I've been here, but I'd go back for sure. read more

Came in on Saturday night 4/26/14, to catch a Ufc fight. The bar area was full so we sat outside which the weather was perfect for anyway. We ordered tons of wings, drinks, and other food. All of it was brought out in a timely manner and with no issues at all. Service could not have been better. Our waitress was amazing and very attentative. We went back the following day on sun night on 4/27. Service was god awful. I think the waitress said her name was trivia??? Which in hind site made sense because we were always having to ask questions. Can we have menus and silverware. The wrong orders were brought out. All in all besides the horrible service issue one day i wouldnt let that taint what is a great place to go for good bar food done properly. I would definitely go back again. read more

Wolfie's is low-key, unpretentious and right on Lake Conroe. It's a bar cum "munchies" sort of place. It's loud. There are lots of bikes parked out front. Lots of kids. I always have a good experience when I come here. The margaritas (meltdowns) are by far the cheapest I've ever come across. This is definitely one of my top 2 "go-to" spots for crawfish. I typically don't eat much of the food other than the wings and crawfish, but I'd recommend definitely going for the crawfish, atmosphere, and drinks. read more

We recently moved to the neighborhood and came here on the recommendation of a coworker. I was hopeful we would find our new local hangout. Sadly, this was not to be. We ordered 4lbs of crawfish and an appetizer of fried pickles (which we never did get since apparently the waitress forgot to put in that order). The menu indicated that you would get 1 potato and 1 piece of corn per lb of crawfish. What a joke!!! We got HALF of a red potato and a TINY sliver of corn per pound of crawfish. I've included a picture of one of my "pieces" of corn which I will henceforth refer to as the corn "butt" as it was the small pointy end of a real piece of corn. When I got upset and asked our waitress about this discrepancy, the manager came by and told us that is how their corn and potatoes come with their crawfish, so I pointed out that means their menu is a lie. He did get us more of both at no charge but I shouldn't have to get upset to get what I paid for. We never did see the waitress again after that although she did sit down at the table next to us and visit with the people there for a while. All in all a complete waste of time and money. I'm stuck between a 3 and a 4, leaning more towards a 4. I like it here, the food is good, beer is cold (always a plus), and there is a great mix of patrons (old, young, etc.) What I don't like isn't the bar's fault (parents drinking/eating while their kids run amok), so thankfully there is a bar. However, I DO wish it was bigger as it can get over crowded at time. Everyone that works here has always been very pleasant, food is hot when served, and again the beer is always cold. read more

Only Wolfies...a place I will continue to go to despite being blamed by management for various things. Yah, like many times. Several times hair in my food that was blamed on my wife and I by management (I dont have long brown hair and my wife's hair is strawyberry blonde) haha...several times that has happened. Best one was the hair + waitress didn't wash hands in restroom and management blamed us for that too. Yeah...but the crawfish are the best and when its in season you can find my wife and I crushing St Arnold Amber and Karbach Hopadillos along with.
