Dropped in here after the gym for some crawfish and I got lucky wasn't too packed during st patty's day. The bartender was pretty cool and the waitress staff was as well. The food is always good! Quite an assortment of choices. We have noticed over the years there are many regulars that frequent and come to visit. Apparently a 'new' manager decided to turn the music up which makes it difficult to visit. Really a high 3. Tailgators has a special place in my heart. I've been coming here since the Tailgators on 2920 turned into 242. And I've been going to that location since I was a little kid. The spicy garlic wings, Mardi gra pasta, and gator bites are non negotiable every time, although there is no wrong option. It used to be a solid 5 until management started changing. Portions got wayyyyyyy smaller, dryer, and the ranch got watery. Which sucked bc the ranch used to be the best. Coming here is a gamble bc one day the food can be absolutely fire and the next mediocre at best. Same with the service. Very inconsistent, though not bad. I'm just concerned it will end up like the other Tailgators soon, because that's the direction it seems to be heading in. Every year it gets worse little by little and it makes me sad to see what's happening to my former favorite restaurant. read more

The food was mediocre at best. Everything was room temperature. We were a party of 5 and only one person thought their food was "ok". We all agreed we should not have gone here for crawfish. No flavor, peel horrible but the size was good. The server was rude and did not put in the order of two people and when was reminded she appeared angry. She said very little and did not like any questions. I am not sure if something was going on because we have been there before but this night was so bad that we will not be back. A little harsh and way too busy, but they take care of you. Good bar pub grub kinda place. Plenty of TV's and the drinks are strong. I've been to the new Tailgator's on Hwy 105 three times. First time ate crawfish and it was delicious! Second time had steak fingers...there were 4 and about the size of my skinny fingers. They were also out of tea! How does a restaurant run out of tea? The third visit was last night. We waited for an hour for 2 burgers and fries! Not acceptable. Slow service from the waitress....like we were not even there. We thought we would try this place out since we live so close. Food was good...my husband and I got wings, onion rings and fries. Never asked us if we wanted a refill on a beer and coke. Took 20 minutes it seems to get our check. Sorry it didn't work out since we live near by and we've lived in this area since 2008 and decided to try it for brunch this afternoon. Service is horrible but amusing because they do nothing but complain about their working conditions & schedules. However, they certainly didn't put forth much effort on the "work." Double fried wings were cold as were the fries. Funny, the easiest thing to do in the kitchen is fry something properly. Fries, btw, were cooked well before then re-fried which makes them taste horrible and look unappealing. Didn't dare order anything else.
