Great local sandwich shop. I wouldn't say it is anything special. But I prefer supporting local sandwich places rather than the chains. 4 stars for the MASSIVE chocolate chip cookies they make here. Highly recommend. And for some reason, their trail mix is a favorite of mine. Even though I'm fairly certain it's some trail mix I can purchase at the local grocery store as well. My favorite sandwiches to get are the Mile Post or Williamson. The Overlook is also very good. I appreciate the right sauce ratio. Just enough to appreciate the flavor. I stopped by Wolfie's today for lunch and ordered a half turkey panini and a cup of broccoli cheese soup. The atmosphere was charming. The rustic tables and wildlife decor were cute and went well with the name and theme. Everything was clean, including counters and tables. The soup was acceptable. I would have liked a little more seasoning, it was a bit bland. The turkey panini was made on good quality, tasty bread with a nice crust. The turkey was just standard deli turkey. The strawberry fluff salad was fun and enjoyable. Overall, this is a clean, satisfying lunch place if you are in the area. read more

We love their sandwiches! It is a common request from my staff when we celebrate something in our office and I buy them lunch. I forget the names of the sandwich's but I really like the chicken salad wrap with the pineapple (I think its the blue sky but I may be mistaken). We have never had anything bad. What an amazing sandwich shop! My husband works down the street and he comes here often. I have been here a few times and every sandwich I had from Wolfies was amazing! My favorite is the Hershberger : Chicken breast, bacon, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and barbecue mayonnaise. It is to die for! You also get a bag of chips and trail mix with you sandwich. Yum! We stopped on a fluke looking for something to eat before work. I had the barbecue chicken wrap and he had the ham and cheese with honey mustard panini. Both were very simple, for the price. I like that every order came with trail mix. They were a great little power snack on my break. My wrap was a little greasy, but flavorful. I think it would have been even better had they slapped it on the grill before serving it so the outside would be hot and a little crispy too. I will definitely come back again and try more. In a small town with not a lot of food options, Wolfies exceeds expectations of even larger communities. The sandwiches, subs, wraps and salads are all hand crafted with farm fresh ingredients that leave you full but wanting to try more on the menu. On our visit there was a hiccup with our order and the owner quickly resolved it going beyond to make sure we were more than satisfied. Definitely on my list of places for lunch. read more

Is there an option for zero stars? My gay partner and I just went there expecting some good homemade eats, walked in to a nice rustic environment, and we checked out the menu. The stuff all looked decent, slightly overpriced, but we thought we'd give it a chance. We ordered pulled pork and a meatball sub to share, and we sat down while they made our food. When they brought it to us, I saw the chips on the plate, and immediately I knew. These chips are from the family fare right next door. I ate them and sure enough, they were the exact same chips I could buy at the local supermarket. The pulled pork fell apart, the meatballs were from the frozen section at the grocery store. You could get better subs at the China buffet next door. If you're looking for a decent meal, TURN BACK. DO NOT GO TO WOLFIES. This place would be great, as a school or hospital cafeteria. If you're going to have a restaurant, put some love into the dishes. Don't just slap meat and veggies on 4 different types of buns, breads, and wraps and throw in a bag of pretty awful chips. I can do that at home. I come here often when i need to grab a lunch to bring to work. I love the wraps and panini, but for some reason, the cold subs are just not good at all. I just avoid them now. The Caesar wrap, Reuben and BBQ chicken wrap are my favorites. Friendly service, owner is a super nice guy. read more

Really tasty food with a really long wait. Perhaps my experience was not the norm, but my colleagues and I went here while in town on business thinking it would be faster than a sit-down restaurant. I have been to Wolfies several times with work friends. They love the place, I can't see why. Maybe I keep ordering the wrong sandwiches but the ones I have tried were not tasty. The bread seems like it is off the discount shelf from the Family Fare next door. Ditto with the meats, they seem low quality. The parts don't sum up to anything special. read more

Wolfies is an upscale sub and sandwich shop. When you walk in you will feel like you just entered the beautiful wilderness. Every meal includes a small container of trail mix to munch on while you wait for your meal. Subs are served with a generous portion of wavy potato chips. The subs themselves are pretty tasty as well. The only complaint I have is that the employees disappear to the back often and if you need something you might have to wait a while until they notice you. The blue sky wrap is my favorite. Their BLT's are too, too good. You can make your own wrap/sandwich as well and I love the variety of items you can choose from. Dill-Ranch is yum! Been here a handful of times with reasonably decent experiences but had a really disappointing one today. Came in 20 min before closing time and service and food were both really terrible. Crew was clearly cleaning up and mentally checked out already. Cashier/server said 5 words to us and none were "hello" or "thank you". She made it obvious that she resented our presence and couldn't wait to lock the door behind us when we left at exactly 8pm. Food was clearly nuked up quick and was very sub-par. I get that it was close to closing time but if you're open until 8:00, you need to expect to serve people until 8:00. This was an extremely poor representation of this business but could have been avoided if someone more mature was left in charge. This was the kind of place I went to when I was in the area but it is completely off my radar now. read more

I have been to Wolfies 4 times and twice my order was not correct. I ordered a Compass with no bacon and received after a long wait a Compass with bacon. I had to bring it back up there as I had a take out and I had to wait along time again to get the correct sandwich. I didn't go to Wolfies for a few months but decided to give them a try again today and ordered the same thing and received bacon on it again. I had emphasized the fact that I don't eat pork and dint want bacon, I was surprised to find bacon in it again after taking a couple bites. I Told the cashier again that my sandwich had bacon in it and she was surprised, stating it has bacon in it. She never apologized, it took a long time to get my sandwich, so I asked for it to go as I had decided to eat in this time. The cashier seemed as if she didn't even want to give me a to go foam tray and gave me a small one. I had to tell her I needed a bigger one as all the chips and sandwich wrap and the brownie with marshmallows didn't fit into a small foam tray. It seemed to me that they don't want me to come back. I am new to town and out of the four times I went the last two times I went by myself, and maybe that made a difference I am starting to think that they may be racist as if they do not want me to come back. I was polite and didn't make a scene as I tried to talk as quietly as I can to let them know that my order was wrong both times. Well if they wanted me to not come back they accomplished there goal because I will not be coming back. By the way my wrap when I received without the bacon, it hardly had any turkey meat on it or barbecue sauce. I ended up not eating most the sandwich as it was just lettuce and wrap. read more
