I wait forever just to have someone answer my call. Wait times in the office are just as bad. I almost left last time but I gave them the benifit of the doubt. Today I waited 14 min before anyone even greeted me to ask me if I would hold. I left a message on Monday and it's Thursday and I hadn't received a call back so I called again. Like I said I waited a really long time and then I was just transferred to an answering machine! Oh my goodness...... I have been a patient of Dr. William Sun going on 13 yrs now & I could never say enough good things about him, as a GYN/OB physician or a person. He has thousands of patients, yet he has always made me feel like I am his only one. Even though he was not my OB when I lost my beautiful daughter to still birth, he has never failed to remember her when he sees me. His kindness and concern is genuine. Dr. Sun has also helped in my preventive care for cervical cancer and most recently a breast cancer scare. For that alone, I will always be grateful. I like this office a lot. Wait times are a little long but what do you expect when your doctor is on call and the office is popular. Mostly everyone I've encountered has been friendly and welcoming. Dr. Howard is the best doctor I've ever had! He's friendly, funny, took my concerns seriously, and gave great advice when I asked. He delivered my daughter around 10 weeks ago and it was the most amazing experience. He respected my wishes, told me the game plan when it came to introducing pitocin and breaking my water (I was induced) and we were even cracking jokes when he was stitching me up right after my delivery. I was very comfortable with him and he is an amazing doctor. I will go back for all my future pregnancies. read more

Mind you my medical history had been completed through portal days PRIOR to my visit. I transferred to Palm Valley Women's Care from MomDoc in the third trimester of my pregnancy because the care I was receiving from MomDoc was so horrible - I'm very glad I did. Dr. Howard and his staff are amazing. I've bern to both the Goodyear and the Phoenix office and have received phenomenal care each time. There are times where you will have to wait to see the Dr. because he had to step away for a delivery, but when he comes back, he still takes his time with each patient. My visits are never rushed. I will definitely keep coming here for regular gynecological care once my little one is born. read more

Dr. S was super informative and non-judgmental. Sometimes being a woman and going to a male doctor is hard because they don't always listen. They try to tell me what is wrong with my body or talk to me like I don't know anything. Dr.S did not treat me that way. He made me feel comfortable and talked to me as a person. Dr Sun has got to be the most incompetent followed closely by the staff in the office! My wife has been going there over the past year with a severe bleeding issue. Every time she went in he wants to do a biopsy, this according to every DO and M D is severe overkill given the initial one showed negative. His other remedy was a hormone that made my wife ill, his office doesn't even have a record of the drug but the pharmacy certainly does! Now in the past week we have been to the emergency room 3 times with excessive bleeding including one 911 situation. Where is Dr Sun? Stopping by after 3rd ER visit after hours! (Why hurry right) We need to do a D&C he says and schedules for Wednesday, when we call the office to confirm they tell us he is off that day! On top of that, the hospital and office don't agree with times! We shame the jerk into sticking with HIS commitment and the operation goes ok as far as we know. Next day! Bleeding again like before! Call the office no reply been over 3 hrs, Dr useless? No response, staff gets pissy at us for wanting some direction. We call our insurance to complain and to discuss highly irregular emergency claims and find out the claim they filed was for an ablation not a D&C guess they can stick us for more money! The insurance company told us of their top doctors list and gave us a couple of names we asked if this office of Sun or Howard were on the list! NO WAY! If you think this is a overblown review read the rest that are not just delivering babies, this office in total should be reported to AZ AMA and we plan to do this, I hope others will follow and this fraud would be stripped of their license to practice! As a new patient I thought I would give this place a try. I made a terrible decision in coming here .my appointment was at 9:40 and wasint seen from dr Howard until 10:30. I had high Hope's for this place but disappointed that I wasint seen in a timely manner. And forget the Dr being concerned with any issues you may have he was in rush with no questions asked. I had NOBODY to watch my child as my family is gone for a funeral I was supposed to have my 20 week scan and they told me they couldn't see me because I had my child with me, I explained my situation and the lady at the front desk didn't want to see me. I live in Buckeye so it's a good 25 minute drive here not to mention the gas I WASTED. Because of Covid I can't have my child with me. Don't bother with this place anymore they don't care about you. Dr.howard is great but I need to find somewhere else it's always something with this place. I feel bad for the single moms who have no choice but to take their baby(babies) with them when they need to go for an appt. read more

If I could give this place -277 stars I would. Let me first start off by saying I was very optimistic with this location and Dr. Howard. My appointment was set for 3:15pm being a new patient. I arrived at 3:00pm. At 4:00, I asked the receptionist, "do you know how much longer will the doctor take?" She stated she would check. She then came back to tell me they don't have enough rooms so they are waiting on a room before they can take me back. Okay, I understand right, 50 mins later 4:50pm I am finally being called back I go over my history with the nurse. Great, finally I get to see the DR right!! WRONG! At 5:15pm I walk out of the room to grab the nurse she tells me the DR will see me in another 15-20 mins. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? The valley is full of competent OB/GYN's that can see me in a timely manner. I then got up and ran out of this place.. If you value your time and sanity(I swear the lobby was like a daycare children jumping on tables, crying, horrible crying) Run, Run, Run to another practice. read more

Only giving them a star because that's the only way to leave a comment. Worse experience ever. This is my first pregnancy.. My first appt was okay doctor didn't ask many question just did blood work urine sample and ultra sound. Couple days later they call back saying I have an infection, prescribed me antibiotics. Scheduled another appt was feeling really sick, I had got a different Doctor she told me I had a really bad infection so she gave me a stronger medication. Two days later get a call back saying to stop taking it, I no longer had the infection. Weird, right? Went back in talked to my doctor he of course defended the other Doctor saying she was going off different tests. After that I no longer wanted to be apart of this clinic. My bf talked me into giving them another chance, so I did. By this time I was 12 weeks, Doctor came in didn't ask any questions NOTHING, took me to another room did ultrasound and boom appt was over in less than 10 mins. They also have students doing ultrasounds, and they have absolute no clue on what they're doing. Which pissed me off. I didn't feel right about this clinic so I went and googled other clinics, I found a new one sooo much better and professional. They had me sign a medical records release paper for the PV. I got a call today the lady was in a very bad mood, she was butt hurt cause I was transferring she didn't even let me talk and then hung up on me. She is very unprofessional and a b*tch. I AM GLAD THAT I AM NO LONGER GOING TO THEM. I WILL NEVER REFER ANY FAMILY OR FRIENDS HERE. read more

Started going here for prenatal care around September 2012 to see Dr. Takimoto. Every single appointment, without fail, I waited at LEAST 45 mins to see her. Then, when she finally did show up, it was like I was showing up for the first time and she had no idea what was going on with my baby or body. It only got worse from there. One of my early ultrasound apparently revealed 3 "markers" for Down's Syndrome, but I was not told about this at the time. I was on vacation out of state and got a voicemail from another medical office saying I had an ultrasound scheduled with them. I had no idea what this was, so I called them and they explained that I had some suspicscious things that needed to be looked at because my child was showing as a risk for DS. I have to tell you, that was really terrible to hear that news like that. It was the first really big foul for PVWC. (The markers ended up being false alarms, my son is fine). Around 20 weeks I think, you have to do a blood glucose test for gestational diabetes. I am a smaller person (5'5, I think I weighed about 125 at 20 weeks) and have a long history of low blood pressure. For the test, you have to fast for 12 hours, then drink this super sugery liquid and have your blood drawn. Within 20 minutes of finishing the drink, I was feeling light headed and dizzy. I barely made it to the doctors office before my vision started to go and they took my blood and told me to go lay down in a room. Keep in mind I still have not eaten anything and am still very dizzy. I lay there, sick to my stomach for about 20 minutes before I get up and ask a nurse when the doctor will be there, since it was already 30 mins past my appt time and I need to eat ASAP. She very casually mentions that the doctor is at the hospital delivering a baby and should be back in about 45 mins to an hour, so I should take a seat and wait. Thanks!!! So, I just left without seeing the doctor. My next several appts go pretty much like the previous ones, with her showing up late and pretty much reading my charts as she walks in the room to figure out who she is seeing. At 36 weeks, she did a check on my cervix and told me that I was dialated 3cm and could have the baby any day. This was a huge surprise for me, both exciting and scary. We talked for a little bit about what to do when labor starts, the hospital, and details about delivery. When the appoinment ended, she said to me, "I'll see you at the hospital!" One week later, my water breaks and we go to the hospital. I knew my labor was going to be fast (and Dr. Takimoto knew this too, because I had brought it up as a concern several times) because labor with my daughter was very fast. I asked the hospital to call my doctor immediately upon arrival because my baby would be out soon. I guess maybe they hear that a lot in OB triage, because either they didn't believe me or the doctor took their time. About an hour later, my son is taking his first breath and Dr. Takimoto is nowhere to be found. Another doctor from PVWC, (can't remember his name) walks in right after my husband cut the cord. Apparently Dr. Takimoto was on vacation! She failed to mention that to me during our last visit. I guess it didn't really make a difference, since she probably would have had to review my chart to remember my name. The doctor at Banner Estrella that actually delivered my son, a woman whose name I can't remember now, and the rest of the OB staff was really nice and helpful, pretty much made up for the horrible prenatal care I recieved through my pregnancy. Oh, then there was post-natal care. Ha! I wanted an IUD and asked them to order me one (because apparently they don't keep them on hand?) about 6 weeks after giving birth, so about mid April. They said it would take 2 weeks, which I thought was rediculous, but whatever. I waited for a few weeks, then realized I was wasting my time. I called my regular doctor, made an appt, and had my IUD ordered and in place 31 May. In JULY the office calls me and says they recieved my item, so what day would I like to come in. I told them I had already taken care of it weeks ago, but thanks. read more

This was my wifes office throughout her pregnancy. We absolutely loved Dr. Suhn (spell check) he is amazing. The entire office made us feel at home besides one of the ladies who do scheduling, she was usually pretty rude and rushed us off, but one bad seed cannot ruin the foundation they have established. Dr. Howard however, was usually behind schedule but a friend of my wifes referred us to him and says he was the best shes ever had (she has 4 kids, 2 delivered by Howard). Most of the time the doctors are out of the office because unlike most other practices they are with the women throughout their pregnancy and make it a point to be there and deliver the baby, not pawn you off on another ob that you've never encountered. We will be returning back to Palm Valley when we conceive another child. read more

I was very happy to have insurance until I visited this center. Upon my first visit, the Dr. Adenle pressed down very hard on a scar I had during an exam. She did not apologize, but just moved her hand and then proceeded with the exam. This made my pain worse. On the second visit with a different doctor in the office, the Dr. dismissed my concerns with my health, patronized me, suggested a hysterectomy right off the bat, without even analyzing the situation, and could care less about patients. Her name is Dr. Sta. Maria and when I asked about other options instead of this major life-changing surgery, she interrupted me rudely and said, "If you do not agree with me, see another doctor." The office also looks at everyone in pain like they are criminals and does not provide any management of pain. If asked, they look at patients like they are fiends instead of realizing that they have legitimate pain. The office manager was no better and patronizing. Even though the doctor did not do an exam, she said that I took up the time so I still owed the copay of $60.00. Do not go to this clinic if you want real answers. They are all horrible and could care less about women. read more

Horrible experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. Please run away fast. Please do not go here. PRETTY PLEASE don't do it to yourself!! I went to office in Goodyear needing to get a IUD replaced. My employer insurance was going to end the next month and I needed to have the new one ordered before that. I explained this over the phone and made sure that when I was seen, this could happen-they said no problem. The doctor examined me and apparently couldn't find the IUD. He asked me if someone commented that they felt it lately-uh awkward but I did confirm yes they have BUT he said I needed to go to an ultrasound facility to make sure it was still there. I asked them if this would hinder the ordering of my IUD as I need it to be ordered by a certain time before my employer insurance ran out. They said NO PROBLEM, and they would order it today. While I was leaving, I QUADRUPLE confirmed with the lady who checked me out that this would be ordered and she said YES and they would call me when it was in which is 6 weeks ish. I got the ultrasound the next day and waited 6 weeks.....7 weeks...8 weeks. I call them multiple times and finally they call me back saying that they never ordered it. WHAT!!!!! I was in tears. How could this happen when I literally informed multiple individuals that this needed to be ordered. The lady said no problem let us order it. Weeks later still nothing. I am calling and calling and finally someone calls me back to tell me that it was ordered but the place tried to contact me for payment but I didn't pick up so they cancelled it. WHAT!!!!! They never called me-EVER and a payment? What for?? To make a long story short my current insurance doesn't cover the IUD at all (Over 700 dollars) and Palm Valley told me that well... that wasn't their problem. They told me that I must pay out of pocket and if I can't pay for it all together I can go on a payment plan to pay for it. I told them that this is completely their fault but they said Oh well, nothing we can do and if you want the IUD, it's your problem. They royally screwed me and had no ownership. I said you need to rectify the situation some how and they said OH well nothing we can do. What kind of establishment doesn't take any ownership for their mistake? To this day I am still trying to figure out how to find a way to get this IUD and not have to pay the full price. I know I did my part in this and they dropped the ball big time. I had a few choice words for them before I just gave up pleading and arguing with them. This has been the worst doctor's experience ever!! Seriously, how are you in business and you can sleep at night knowing you literally screwed over a patient with no effort to solve the problem??? read more

Pass. This was my office for about 4 years and during each visit, it was easily 1.5 hours after my scheduled appointment before I was even seen. The NP blamed the office manager and of course the office manager hid from my calls and emails to inquire on why such a practice is deemed acceptable. Aside from scheduling nightmares, I would never get follow-ups to my exams, and had to escalate matters to simply acquire a prescription. This office fails to recognize we are the customers and without happy customers, has no business. I never had a problem with this place till now. I haven't received a call with my results and was waiting so I kindly called to get them or to get my patient portal information that way I could get them myself. Debbie answered and I asked for that information.. she says I got that information when I became a patient umm I was 18 I'm now 28 I wouldn't be calling if I didn't have that in the first place. I was having trouble finding the portal because the website does't even direct you to the link. Then she cuts me off and says if you just want your results i'll just transfer you because I can't be spending to much time with this digichart .. excuse me? I thought as customer service your job consist of assisting clients who needs help. I work at a High School and I always help parents with their ParentVue access. If I don't have the time at the moment I get their number and call them back I NEVER say "I DONT HAVE TIME TO BE DOING WHATEVER IT IS" There should be clear instructions on the website on how to access our patient portal if Debbie doesn't have time to help! read more

I am changing doctors.not going to Dr.St Maria anymore. I scheduled an appt for a check up but even that was hard. Front desk was very rude. Then when i finally talk to my Dr. St Maria about these blood test she did on me for having such irregular periods to no period .she gave me no logic answer and said test were fine. i was hoping she would ease my worries but no . when i asked her why could this be happening she just gave me a weird look like she didnt want to take the time with me. I asked but doesnt that affect me if i want to have babies later on and she said well we'll deal with it when you want to start having babies . i was in shock on how careless she was of my future health. Dr. Howard was my doctor for my first child and he is great he deserves all five stars. Unfortunately six years ago the front staff was just as bad as they are now. My appointments are always wrong. Yesterday I went in for an appointment I was scheduled, it was even written on my appointment card. To be told I wasn't scheduled for another two weeks, same issue I had with this office six years ago. I ended up getting to see Dr. Howard after being told I wasn't, demanding to speak to my doctor than being belittled in front of the entire waiting room. The woman came out in font of everyone to inform one patient she wouldn't be seeing her doctor on her last visit than looked at me and told me I would be seeing him though. So unprofessional. It was their mistake not mine, and she should have told us personally. Get the scheduling correct next time and accept the mistake on your own end. I am so disappointed in the treatment I received in this office this last time. They delivered my first baby, but even though my doctor did not delivered my baby I thought the prenatal care was decent until now. It has gotten worse!! the staff are so cold and rude and I waited 1 hr to see the doctor. I could not find a baby sitter for my 2 yr old so they were pretty upset that I brought her saying that "most moms don't bring their kids" when my baby was asking them for candy. They didn't have to be so mean to my baby...after all they are on the business of delivering babies. I was just there for my annual womens wellness exam, appointment was at 400pm and i arrived at about 340pm. First of all, I was not greeted, the receptionist seemed more interested in office gossip rather than doing her job. Secondly, it was almost an hour before I was called back. Rude nurse took all my vitals BEFORE telling me the doc got called away for a delivery. Asked if o was okay seeing the nurse practitioner... absolutely not! I wanted MY doctor! She was very annoyed at this. Then was treated rudly again when rescheduling like it was an inconvenience that I had caused. Won't be going back and definitely do not recommend. My primary care referred me to Palm Valley Womens upon finding out I was pregnant. I read the reviews on google and yelp and didn't want to make an appointment. I called a few other offices and Palm Valley could get me in sooner than anywhere else. I told them when making the appointment how far along I was (6 weeks at the time of the appointment), they still made the appointment for the following Friday at 11 am. When we arrived at 10:45 I filled out more paper work (They emailed me a medical history that I also filled out) That took about 10 mins and we waited and waited as other patients who arrived after us went in a came out getting ultrasounds done and what not. Knowing they were going to take a urine sample and not having peed since we left the house, I walked up to the front desk to ask when we were going to been seen as it was now 11:30 and we were still in the front lobby area. When I walked up Elvia (The front desk lady) and another coworker were having a personal conversation with the glass window open. They both made eye contact with me and continued talking, a few minutes after standing there I said excuse me and asked when we were to be seen and she said shortly, then closed the glass. I sat back down and began to cry. My husband who works night and woke up extra early to come to this appointment with me was also getting frustrated. They called another patient and told me again I'd been seen shortly. About 5 mins after that they finally called us back. I told the Medical assistant how bad I had to pee she still weighed me and took my height then gave me the urine sample cup and showed me the bathroom. Once in the room she asked questions I had answered on the medical history form and how I was feeling and if I had any questions for DR. SUN as he would only be in the room for 2 minutes. 2 minutes are you kidding me? I waited all this time for 2 damn minutes, yes that's exactly right I should have set my timer. He came in asked how I was feeling, I told him nauseous all day every day, he said that means the baby is healthy and that the baby at 6 weeks is too small to see and to come back the following week for an ultrasound, then told us to gather out things and head down the hall to do blood work. I said "Wait what can I do about the nausea?" He said oh I'll send the RX to CVS for you and you'll be able to pick it up before you even head home. I thought oh cool. I go down the hall to get blood work and both phlebotomist stuck me, missed my vein and then tried to jab the needle in my arm thinking that would get blood, don't get any blood, and another blew one of my veins causing so much pain and busing that a week and half later I still have a bruise. They said I wasn't drinking enough water and to come back later to get the work done. I'd had plenty of water they just couldn't do their jobs. Before leaving we booked our ultrasound for 5 days later and then the follow up appointment a week or so after that. The girl making the appointments didn't listen to me when I told her Fridays work best and tried making all the appointments on Wednesdays. she made the ultrasound appointment, told me the time and everything then made the second appointment without telling me the day or time. Then the billing department asked us to go over our benefits. They showed up a calculation and said something about having to pay $430 before the baby was delivered for some stupid reason....I didn't get a copy of that paper my husband said just pay it...I wanted to wait. We paid it with our care credit card and left. The following week I called them to cancel the ultrasound and get a refund. Elvia told me I needed to leave a message for billing. So I did. Never got a call back. The following Monday I called again she told me to leave another message. So I did. The next day I get a call at 4 pm saying the Elvia in the front has to do the refund and she will be calling me in 10 minutes and to have the card ready. I had spoken to Elvia twice without her mentioning she could do the refund she just passed my call on to billing. Needless to say 10 minutes came and passed. I called her back and she put me on hold for another 5 minutes. She finally came back took the card info and said I'll get a receipt in the mail. The communication in this office is horrible, the customer service is horrible and I wouldn't recommend going to Palm Valley womens center. read more

I would give this a 5 star if it was just for the dr. I've been going to Dr. Sun for 10 years now. He's delivered both of my boys and is wonderful. He explains everything in simple terms and is always in a great positive mood. I give the front office staff a 1 star. The benefits lady in the front is rude when she speaks. The lady who puts the chart up takes an extremely long time to do so. Twice my dr left because she didn't put it up right away and he didn't know I was there. I was not late but was the last appointment of the day on both occurrences. I was able to reschedule for first thing in the morning the first time she did it. The second time I was able to see the PA before she left. read more
