When I came in the first thing I asked was if they can do a French ombre and the lady said yes. She got the pedicure tub ready for me and it's the winter so I'm not shaving often, she asked who appeared to be a younger relative of hers to do my pedicure and nails. when I lifted my leggings she laughed and made fun of me in their language, in case y'all don't realize its very obvious in any language when you're being made fun of, her older relative told her something along the lines of,"shut up and do your job" but the whole time the younger girl was complaining about ombre and it just ruined the entire experience. When I was paying the older lady had the audacity to hover behind my shoulder to see if I would leave a tip. no tip! Y'all are rude as fuck! Don't go here. Worst Salon in Chicago and Illinois. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

I usually don't leave reviews, but I had a terrible experience. I made an appointment online for a manicure and went in and said I had an appointment for a manicure under my name. They said okay and told me what number table to sit at. Once I sat down they began removing the polish and I saw the salon was calling so I turned to the associate and said I think you guys are calling me and since my hands were occupied I couldn't answer. Minutes later the staff was yelling at me saying I made an appointment and asked who I wanted to get my nails done with? They were mad at me and it was very uncomfortable/ continued to give me the cold shoulder. I would've left if I could at that moment. It was very uncomfortable. They do a decent job at nails but the customer service is not great. I won't be going back read more

I did not notice until I was already in a chair how dirty this place was. There was an employee who had pajama bottoms on, another one was walking around not picking up her feet but the worst was what appeared to be the manager eating a chicken leg in clear view , she sucked that clean so loudly. Go to this nail spa! Wonder Nails has parking, a very large selection of colors and the staff are all great. When I first started going here, I would call 15-30 minutes ahead and request an appointment with whoever was available. They were almost always able to accommodate and each technician I saw did a good job. Then, I started scheduling with Cindy regularly and she is the best!! She is quick, kind and SO thorough. This review is for a pedicure only - had the deluxe pedicure, which included a longer + hot stone massage. I haven't had the 'regular' pedicure, but it felt worth the money to me = $50. I made an appt for 5:30PM online, but ended work early and they were able to accomodate me right away. The woman who did my pedicure was kind, thorough, and overall efficient - I was being particularly picky with colors because I'm in a wedding and had to match my bridesmaid dress, and she was very patient. I just moved to the neighborhood and plan to come back for my next pedicure. read more

Misleading prices, poor quality, bad customer service. Acrylic set posted price $52. At register, the cost was $63 with no explanation of extra charge. Then an additional fee was added for using card. Nail tech didn't listen to request to "keep long" and continued cutting shorter - too short! Poorly shaped. Even after repeating this, she didn't seem to understand or care. I was very unhappy with length and felt ripped off. Literally cried over the bad nail job and wasted money. It got worse. THREE nails popped off within 48 hours. Total waste! I considered going into salon to ask for this to be fixed but then remembered how rude the owner was on Saturday and I would rather never go back. read more

Look how beautiful my wedding nails are!! I had an appointment at the end of the day and my nail techs stayed long past closing to make sure my pedicure and manicure were perfect. This place also got me hooked on dip manicures, which are amazing and have helped me grow my nails out. read more

I got a fill in today and I brought a photo of what I wanted. My nails turned out very different then the picture. I am not writing this review solely because I was dissatisfied with my review, I understand that when servicing many people in a day that It's inevitable that sometimes you might not get a nail tech who gets it right. I am writing this review because of how disrespectfully I was treated by Jessica the manager for no reason. After she tried to fix my nails with what the previous nail tech had done, jessica told me "YOU Should do your nails by your self." She said this to me in front of everyone and some Of coworkers also thought it was funny. It really hurt my feelings that she chose to be so disrespectful to me when I've been going to this salon for the past few months without issue. I will not be going back. I am attaching photos of what I asked for versus what I received. If you see this Jessica, I understand that you work with a ton of people and the service industry can be draining but this does not give you a right to be disrespectful and belittle your customers who are paying your high prices for an "expert" service. You also proceeded to have a whole conversation in a different language about me with your coworkers and I do not appreciate it at all. I hope you treat your future customers better. read more

Updating my prior review after a terrible experience this morning. Pedicure alone took 1 hour. Despite requesting a color that was "just white" A pale pink semi white color was applied. By the time I noticed, I was too strapped for time to ask the color to be removed and re done. See picture for manicure results. During the mani the technician was constantly checking her phone, which normally I wouldn't mind at all but considering both mani and pedi took almost 2 hours, was very frustrating. Even after complaining to the desk agent about the poor quality of service, no one seemed to mind the sloppy, slow service. I will not return. read more

I've been here twice so far- both times have been great. The interior is clean and updated. Friendly staff- Jessica did an AMAZING job with my nails. She helped me pick out a dip color and was extremely detail oriented. I would recommend making an appointment or go in during "non peak hours" as you may have a wait. I went in on a Monday evening around 5:15pm and had to wait a little over 30 minutes. They have complimentary drinks: tea, water and soda. The prices are great as well- $40 total for dip. read more

This is the only nail salon I will let touch my nails at this point. Specifically, Tim! He is truly so amazing at what he does and gives me something special every time! I can just show him a picture of the color I want and he does his thing. The shop itself is clean, they follow Covid regulations, and they're very accommodating! I will never return and advise you the same. The male worker was awful at his job and made it out to be my fault. He was tossing things around out of rage after I upset him. (I didn't put my finger far enough under the light to dry) He was aggressively gripping and moving my fingers after that. I was so uncomfortable. I was crying when I left and was still charged the FULL price for this horrible job. I have never left a business so upset. And I can't believe they still charged me for everything as I'm sure I will have PTSD from this experience... read more

This was my first experience at wonder nails. I called and made an appointment and arrived at 5:45 PM. I realize immediately that this time of the day is quite busy in the evenings after work. My overall impression of the nail salon is, absolutely beautiful, the decor is lovely. However I would make a suggestion that there be a no cell phone rule when you're getting services done. There was a customer who was on her phone the entire time that I was having service done and she had a few bad dream and was very loud, that doesn't make for a relaxing experience. If I could give this place 0 stars out of 5 I would. I made an appointment for 5:30. I understand companies run behind with appointments. I waited for 40 minutes and no one called me or checked on me as she stated she would. I went back in and she immediately looked at me and said I haven't forgotten about you and sat me at a station. No one came to check on me or tell me that they were on their way. I decided to strike up a conversation with the client sitting in front of me. She said she had an appointment at 6 PM and was immediately sat. I asked her how long shes been sitting there... she said just a few minutes. She also stopped a manicurist before she started a pedicure to let her know that I was there first, and the manicurist looked at her and walked away to start service with another client that came in after my appointment. I was also sitting by the door and watching people leave and enter for service. AFTER she told me to wait outside because they are at capacity.. I work at a salon and this is not how you do business. The only thing she said was " are you sure?" Unfortunately, I felt discriminated against and forgotten, so why would I stay?? I kindly told her what a part of the issue before leaving. I tried calling a few times after I left because I didn't want to be disruptive but no answer. read more

Mind you, I showered before I got a wax to prevent that HA! Waxing is such an intimate experience and the vibes have to be welcoming and warm. She was ripping away at my skin and I finally decided "yea I'd rather get laser then come back here every two weeks to feel like a burden"... sucks because I liked this place but that one experience messed it up for me. The person who did my nails was sweet but was rushing to do my nails, I had little cuts when I walked out, my nails burned and the skin around my nails looked burned. They look thick and just not well done. It's so sad I wish they came out good but for the price I sadly won't be returning.

I ended up waiting 30 minutes with still no service, and one of the workers was arguing with who I assume was the owner outside.
