Was trying a new salon someone Recommended this one , when I walked in the energy was off .... I showed the tech the picture of what I wanted and had made an appointment ahead of time for designs. The Tech said she could do it no problem .... Usually nails for me takes about an hour 1/2 -2 hours this lady had me out in under an hour .... Everything felt so rushed and the workmanship shows it ..... I will NEVER go here again I take Pride in my nails and I'm embarrassed to have these !!! I have been to Jenny's a couple of times and each time am disappointed. From gel chipping after just a week, to getting cut, to having to wait 1 1/2 hour when told to just walk-in. The last straw was when the lady charged me 30$ (before tip) when it is listed on their services that a regular manicure is 23$- that is a nearly 40% tip that I did not agree to pay, especially not for unfriendly staff, poor quality of service and overall a bad manicure experience that I could've done myself at home. I wish I could defend this place but truly just bad experiences all around :( read more

On my birthday back in March (weekday) I did a walk-in for dip nails. Jenny was not onsite and so I asked for someone who was skilled at dip and almond shaped nails and then was helped by Cindy. From there I was confused as I never once had my nails "dipped" and questioned things as it seemed that I was receiving Acrylic's and was not my preference. She assured me that it was dip and I thought maybe things had changed from the last time I received dip treatment so I proceeded. From there I was disappointed overall in the shape and look and after expressing a few tweaks to salvage what I had before leaving, I paid and walked out regretting getting the service :( The service was rushed. My cuticles were not cleaned up. The nails overall were not smooth. The almond shape was poor. The material near my cuticle was so thick and raised that it looked so fake (I know they're fake but you don't want it to be so obvious as a brand new set) and only day's after, my hair was getting caught near the cuticle area as most nails had already starting to lift :( 3 weeks later, I could not wait to get them fixed and went to a different salon. It was confirmed that acrylic was used and due to premature lifting, there were signs of green/black molding/fungus on several nails. Just bad all around. I've seen and had Jenny's work and it's gorgeous and clean and this was not that. Seems her technicians need to work on communication and training on their craft/skillset. read more

The last two pedicures I had have been rushed - I barely put my feet in the water and they were hurrying me. I visited Jenny's as I'm looking for a regular shop to get gel manicures on my natural nails. I scheduled an appointment via Vagaro, when I arrived the staff looked as if they did not know about the appointment, but I was immediately sat so no issues with that. After picking my colors and showing a reference photo, I got the absolute quickest manicure of my life. I was there for a total of 20 minutes with an entirely empty salon, no need to rush. Unfortunately my nail beds and cuticles were flooded with polish so I doubt the manicure will last long. I felt like the tech was very careless with the polish application. I did get a very simple design. After the tech was done in record breaking time, I was charged $60. On the website a no chip manicure is listed as $38, and while I did expect to pay more for the design, I did not expect a $22 up charge for something that took less than 3 minutes. I am not exaggerating, I entered the salon at 1:04 and was back in my vehicle by 1:26. I feel as if the service was rushed and done without care about whether I liked the nails or enjoyed the service. Unfortunately I will not return to Jenny's and cannot recommend the establishment to anyone. I added the reference photo I showed as well as a photos of my nails. I don't think they look terrible, but I definitely do not think that the result or the experience was worth the $60 I paid. read more

This place used to be my go to, they relocated and I couldn't wait for this new location to open up. My most recent visit was absolutely atrocious and I will NEVER RETURN again. I called ahead a few days and scheduled my appointment with Jenny as I always have for my services, I requested a no chip pedicure. The day of my appointment I was greeted with no smile, told them I had an appointment with Jenny for the no chip, they had me sit in the pedicure chair and pick out my color and service, the water was scalding hot and I told the technician so instead of adding in a bit of cool water to balance it she just blasted cold water in the tub and never changed it ,the entire pedicure was with very cold water. There was no music playing in the establishment and the tv was off, it was a very awkward situation. Then a technician begins to work on my feet, Jenny no where in sight as they also never bothered to tell me that she wouldn't be working on me as I requested. The technician was very aggressive and cut me multiple times, leaving my feet bleeding and raw. When I said ouch that hurts she just smiled and didn't even apologize. Half way through this awful experience Jenny walks in the door with clothing store shopping bags, doesn't acknowledge a single customer in there and turns on some music and proceeds to sit down next to me and get a pedicure from another technician. I was beyond appalled at this point and couldn't wait to leave. The pedicure was sloppy, parts of my nails didn't even have any paint on them and my toes and feet were cut raw and had dried blood all over them. This was 10/10 the worst experience I've ever had at any nail salon!!! read more

Jenny's is my favorite nail spot in Chicago! She always delivers and the quality for the price is great :). I found her salon through Yelp originally and decided to give it a try. The nail shop is a little far from the Argyle red line - a 10-15 minute walk. Not too bad though when the weather is nice. FYI you get a 5% discount when you pay in cash, so make sure to stop by the ATM first. If you forget, there is an ATM in the store that charges a $2.50 fee. Total, my nails took about an hour and 45 minutes (see pictures of black and gold set). I showed up 45 minutes early on a Saturday afternoon. Luckily the shop wasn't too busy and they were able to start on me right away. Don't forget people, quality takes time! Make sure you block out enough time if you want a full set with designs like mine. I would suggest calling ahead if there is a specific person you want. Amy did my full set and was so careful and really paid attention to detail. My full set looked great even before it had paint on it! I get coffin shape usually and she took time comparing each finger and shaving/filing until it was just right. Jenny did my designs. I've come here before and had pictures of what I wanted, but this time I just told her I wanted a black and gold design. She remembered me from my previous 2 visits and remembered that I like fancy designs - nothing basic for this girl! She found pictures and hand painted/foiled/dipped my nails in glitter powder. My nails looked amazing at the end! Other women in the shop usually ask to see my nails at the end because they can tell Jenny is working her magic. Jenny's work is fire - I get asked at registers where I got them done and compliments from coworkers and friends. I am going to preface this by saying that I have never written a review before but I feel compelled to write one now. From the beginning, the receptionist was rude. She didn't even greet me and when I told her what services I wanted, she told me to choose your colors and walked away. She didn't tell me where I could choose the colors for the no chip, The old lady who did my nails was rude as well. She was very aggressive during the whole process. After the completion of the pedicure, she took my sandals and threw them next to the table where I was going to get a manicure. I came in with almond shaped nails and I told the lady to keep it almond shaped. She made my nails super pointy like stiletto. I told her to make it more rounded and she argued that this is almond shaped. I never had anyone make my nails that pointy when I ask for almond shape. Absolutely terrible experience. I totally regret tipping her. I will never go back there again. Edit: Pulling up the quote from the owner herself.."Whether you're looking for a no chip manicure or a wax, our team of technicians will provide you with a warm and relaxing environment. Not my usual place but it was the closet place at that time and had good reviews so I gave it a shot. I had a pedicure $40 and a no chip manicure $58. My pedicure was perfect no complaints. My mani was done horrible. I showed a picture for reference. I typically get this done at my #1 place down the street in Andersonville and never have had any issues. The nail tech ended up making the polish too thick that by the next morning the black part started to bubble and then cave and peel. The nail color should have been put on half and half not over each other. I reached out via their IG page with pics just asking for some sort of refund. I also tipped $27. I sent pictures too. I haven't heard a word back. And I won't go back EVER. So dissatisfied. I'm going to open a claim to get part of my money back. read more

I recently visited this salon for a manicure/pedicure. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations. Service was horrible! The service felt rushed, lacking the relaxation and attention to detail I anticipate from a salon visit. This felt more of an express car wash than a nail service. Pedicure was 20 min! When I asked the technician to slow down due to discomfort, her demeanor changed noticeably, making the remainder of the appointment uncomfortable. She kept rushing! Additionally, there was a discrepancy between the price listed online during booking and the amount I was charged in the salon. When I inquired about this, the technician took my phone to consult with another staff member but did not provide an explanation or apology for the difference. This lack of transparency was concerning. Furthermore, I noticed that the technician's gloves were visibly stained and appeared unclean, which raised hygiene concerns during the service. I would never go back or recommend this place. I was out of there under 50 min for manicure and pedicure. NOTE a pedicure in a salon should be 45 min not 20 min! read more

They are nice, fast, and do a great job. I started going to Jenny's in June of 2019. I had gel nails that lasted for 3 weeks, many times. I also had dip powder done several times, and loved it. I started doing acrylics, and they have been beautiful every time. They recommend a nail shape that is a good fit for your hands, if you ask, and have a multitude of colors to choose from. As courtesy because time is valuable I walked in 4:25 and checked in. The girl at counter set my water up and I sat down. I noticed place was packed and no technicians available. Made an appointment today for 5pm for two pedicures. Arrived at 4:58pm and was told to choose a polish color and have a seat. We sat there for 22 minutes when we were told to come back another day after we had to ask the owner when we would be seated in a pedicure chair. We arrived on time for our appointment and there was a party of four just starting their pedicures. I get it. Four mani/pedis is way more money than just two pedicures. Updating this as I tried them again. David gave me a pedicure and basic manicure. After a 45 min wait, I was placed in a chair, never turned the bubbler on for me or used anything to soften cuticles. The bottom of my feet remained rough and lotion was never placed on them during the pedicure. The massage technic was inconsistent and I felt like he didn't know what he was doing. He also polished with incorrect color. On the manicure I told him no polish but to buff them. Nails were left scratched since he "buffed" with a course file . I went here two times and was fine with the way my nails came out and didn't mind driving 40 minutes to get my nails down here but the third time (last Thursday June 13) was the worst. I got my toes done and they do them first before hands (as most places do) when she was done with my fingernails she took off the toe dividers and said they were all good and dry but once I got home I realized she smudged it and it was okay I was like no big deal mistakes happen maybe she didn't see and no one is staring at my feet it's mostly for me to feel good and matching with my hands. However, what really upset me was I got a no chip on my fingernails on June 13th (Thursday) but by the June 18th Tuesday my nails had chipped already and one even completed came off. I am so disappointed because I paid extra to have the no chip. Both times I got my nails done from this place I didn't have this problem so I'm not sure what happened. I wish I got what I paid for...I spent over 100$ here because I treated my friend to get our nails done together since she showed me this place but after the no chip mess up I'm not sure if I would be willing to risk coming back. I would absolutely love a FULL refund or at least refund the no chip difference but by looking at the reviews and comments and replies all I see from the owner is very defensive and I don't really feel like she cares about how the customers feel which is unfortunate because my friend showed me this place and it was cute to come to together. If the owner showed genuine interest and concern for not only me, but other clients I would consider coming back because I would at least know and feel like she cares about all of her clients leaving happy, values and appreciated and knowing she would take care of us if done wrong to/mistakes made. I truly do not want to dislike this place but I'm obsessed with my no chips and having an actually true lasting no chip is important to me above all else.
