I took my family today for pedicures and everyone came away very happy and relaxed. They have redecorated and gotten new pedicure chairs, very nice. The pedicure experience was nice, however when I finally got in the chair to get my nails done, the guy who was doing my nails did not take his time. He was just throwing the acrylic on my nails and fingers. It was a mess until I had to say something to him about it. He had my cuticles peeling. The inside of the shop is pretty and clean but my first experience there was not to my liking. I will only get a pedicure there if I decide to go back. read more

I got a pedicure and dip manicure here. Gavin did my pedicure and he was very thorough. I really liked that all of the tools used came out of plastic packaging so I knew they were clean. They also use plastic liners for the tubs. I am not a fan of the manicure I got. I did not get the guys name but he cut me multiple times and hurt me a few others. He continued the manicure while I was bleeding and my blood touched multiple polish brushes and the cuticle oil brush they used. I tried to ask them to throw those away multiple times but they did not. Won't be going back. I was told that a fill and shellac was $35. At checkout I was charged $45 because Leo said he had to shape my nails. Isn't that what always happens when you get your nails filled? Nothing extra was done. He was making up excuses as to why my nails costs $45. I have been coming to Wonder Nails for a couple months now. I have not found anyone who does my nails as well! I use the dip polish and it stays on two weeks minimum! Donna is also super nice!! The only thing that I would change is that sometimes even with an appointment you have to wait a while. There have been times for a manicure and pedicure I've been there three+ hours. The first time I came in they charged me $13 to cut my nails down . When I came in the second time to talk to them about it they were dumbfounded that they charged me that much . This was my 3rd time going to this place. The for two times Kim did a good job, but she was late both times, 20 minutes the first time and over an hour the second time. Keep in mind I was her first client each tome. Today, she was very rude and started yelling at me, quit and walked out. Said I owed $30.00 and I didn't even have polish. I thought pampering myself was supposed to be relaxing. I was shocked, and said I wasn't paying for anything. The owner said he would paint my toes, I was scheduled for both manicure and pedicure. Needless to say, I didn't get the manicure and the pedicure was not that great. He eventually apologized and said he didn't know what happened, as of to say I did something to provoke her inappropriate behavior. Normally, I would not have followed through and would have kept my money. The wife of the owner did come over and apologize while I was drying and asked that I come back and she would help me. I thought I would be able to get in and out in a timely matter if I booked a few days in advance. I was wrong. We got to the salon and waited ONE HOUR before anyone even acknowledged that we were waiting for our appointment... it was extremely clear that they either prioritized walk-ins over appointments OR completely overbooked themselves. We had a 6 PM appointment, and soon after, the 6:15 walked in. They were prioritized and taken care of far before my friend and I were. After I was finally called back to a chair, once again, after an hour, I waited another 45 minutes before someone took care. I regret not leaving. There was not a single apology or staff member that checked-in with us to let us know they were getting to us (or hadn't forgotten about us). Instead, workers were expressing/venting how overbooked they were. On top of all of this, the man who did my gel set used the base color and didn't cover it with the color I picked to go on top. When I asked him to add this, he said it would be too "chunky." My friend's acrylics were crooked-- and they charged her $80. We were to the point of infuriation where she just decided she would go home and fix it herself. I have never posted a negative review, but this experience was so horrific I wanted to make sure others were aware of the pure lack of professionalism within this business. I am completely understanding of the pandemic resulting in a shortage of employees, but a SINGLE APOLOGY would have prevented me from posting this. But no one seemed to care. I went here for a new place but what I got was crap the guy that did my nails man handle my fingers so much that when he was holding them to the point that it hurt and he hurt me multiple times with the drill they use to shape your nails .. My go to nail salonThis is a hidden gem. Andy always does my nails and toes. I've never had better service, HUGE color selection for regular, gel and dip polish. Very very clean which is a huge deal in my opinion. I feel very relaxed and I always get offered something to drink. I got my nails done there for every occasion from my senior prom, to weddings, to graduations and so on. I highly recommend this place. Then on of my nails son my nails was crack and charge me $10.00 to ask for rhinestones one on each hand and it was $5.00 each . I didn't like I had to pay $5.00 to take of shellac on my nails. Before and after curing under ultra violet lamp. Horrible . Do NOT go to this salon. This is why: I went to Wonder Nails salon a couple times before and they were just "so-so" but this last time when I went, a customer was loudly - and I mean - loudly talking on her phone while getting her nails done. I was trying to relax while getting a full pedicure and manicure (after all isn't that one of the reasons we go to spas and salons? To relax?) . I respectfully asked the owner to please ask the lady to refrain from speaking loudly on her phone so the other customers could enjoy their experience. He shrugged his shoulders and refused. Meanwhile , the lady continued to obnoxiously gossip , laugh and talk loudly about everything from her kids, to co-workers, local news etc. It was very irritating and unpleasant to hear. I then asked my nail tech if she could do something about it. So she went to the owners wife who was servicing the loud rude lady and asked if she could tell her client to please stop. The owners wife immediately got angry- yelled at my nail tech- and said that this woman was a "regular" and that "I was not" and that she would not ask her client to be quiet. I think my nail tech unfortunately got fired for this. Needless to say- I will NEVER go back to this salon. It was an extremely unpleasant experience - stressful in fact- almost like hearing a crying baby- for over an hour and a half. I guess if you aren't a "regular" you aren't treated equally and afforded a good relaxing experience. I will NOT be going back to this place and nor should anyone else. I got my nails done on August 24th, a full set with gel polish and one holographic accent nail. I thought it was great and Andy did a wonderful job, except for the fact the holographic nail was very patchy. I was mistaken. Six days later my nails were coming off, but not like they normally do after having a set on for a while. Instead of coming up by the cuticle, two of the three nails I lost came off at the point where he superglued the tip onto my natural nail. The acrylic stayed on my natural nail, but the entire tip just broke off. After spending $54 on nails WITHOUT including tip, that was completely ridiculous. I decided to call in and see if they'd be willing to fix it. Andy said I could come in so he could decide if he would fix it and for how much. I wasn't going to pay anymore for something that wasn't my fault, but I came in anyway. Donna told me to come back later and she would fix them for free. I even told her I didn't want Andy to do them and she said it was fine, she'd do it. So I come back and she sends me to him to do them. He starts to fix up my nails, which is fine. He can take them off, but Donna and I agreed she would put the new set on and fix the other ones. All while he is trying to "fix" them he is being rude and disrespectful. Plus since he was aggravated he was rushing and slipped with the dremel tool three times, catching my skin every time. Then, I was told that because my hands were currently sweating (82° and humid out) my nails would never last more than a week. Mind you, I have been getting my nails done for 8 years at least. I have NEVER had an issue with my nails lasting anything less than 3-4 weeks every single time. When I told him I have never had this issue he started becoming very aggressive. Every time I noted that a certain nail was coming off that he chose to ignore or some inconsistency he would snatch my hand and tear the acrylic off of my nail. Then came time to replace the nails that broke off. I politely asked him to get his wife because I did not want him putting on my nails. Here is where things exploded out of control. He started telling me he wasn't ever going to let anyone in the salon fix my nails again, shoving a bottle of nail prep in my face telling me he uses it "special to make nails last longer", telling my my nails will never last more than a week because he knows with 30 years of experience, shoving me out of his work area to send me to Donna's, all while yelling for his wife to come do my nails because I didn't want him to do it. She already knew that though from our previous conversation at 2 pm. When I went to Donna she had an immediate attitude. I was going to do a different color as I I couldn't find the exact color match I had before with the short amount of time they gave me to look. Before all of this happened, they had said it was fine. When I reminded Donna before she even started that one of my nails previously had holographic pigment she flipped out saying if I chose another color she was going to charge me for another set. I said fine and quickly chose another color similar to the one I previously had. Mind you, still not exactly the same. When I tried to tell her what color he put the holographic pigment on (he used a bright neon orange instead of the coral I had on the other nails) she told me she knew what she was doing. I tried to tell her that he used a different polish on the accent nail to give it the desired look, but she was having none of it. Just kept snapping at me that she knew what she was doing and that I needed to just let her do it. After she calmed down a bit she was okay and decided to try to talk to me like a human being. However, she was VERY rough with my hands. My fingers now ache from how roughly she was using the dremel tool on the nails. Not to mention the three times Andy slipped which already caused me pain. I did still tip her $10 because I was there for 90 minutes, and I am not a savage, but being treated like that by the OWNERS of a business is completely unacceptable. I've never had these kind of issues before. I guess I should have listened to my friend when she said "if you go to Wonder Nails, never get the old guy he sucks and will fuck your nails up. Came here on a weekend for the first time, saw there was no one waiting in the sitting area/lobby so I requested a pedicure. There are 28 stations inside but only 3 nail techs working very s-l-o-w-l-y. This meant I soaked my feet in a tub for more than 60 minutes before the nail tech was available and the actual pedicure started. Very new, clean and sparkly salon and workers are very nice, but not sure I will be returning unless they hire more staff members. read more
