I have been getting my mani-pedis at Wonder Nails for years but after this last visit I won't be back. Both the person doing my manicure and my pedicure managed to cut me badly enough that I bled. And to make matters worse, I now have fungus on four of my fingernails. This was a simple manicure - no gel or acrylic. This is not the first time, they gave me a fungus. It had happened with a gel manicure a few years ago and when I brought my concern to the manager he was argumentative and dismissive. You know the expression "Fool me once, shame on you..." I shouldn't have gone back as their service is always hit or miss depending on the people working on any given day. read more

I wanted to support my local community but my experience here was very upsetting . I haven't had dip nails in about 3 years and I gave it a shot here . My dip came off and top coat writhing 3 days and I was able to come in to get it repaired . Owner (male ) had me come in twice in one day and told me they were too busy to fix and to come back tomorrow . Luckily I live so local but that isn't customer resolution on a faulty job . He tried to accuse me that my nails were over 2 weeks old and I showed him the transaction less than a week and he stayed quiet . I had to come in a THIRD time with my daughter , he had an attitude about fixing 2 nails and I still tipped $5 for her repair which was not needed . I do not recommend to come here unless you want mediocre nails. read more

This was my first time getting a manicure from Wonder Nails, and boy I was very satisfied. Michelle paid so much attention to details and took care of my nails the best way possible. I've been to multiple nail techs before but i can say she is one of the best in her field of practice. Being the artist that she is, she added flair to a plain design i wanted. She made sure i was comfortable and developed very good rapport with me. The Salon felt so safe and clean too. They followed covid protocols and the techs are all wearing masks. The nail stations are all distanced safely from one another. They sanitize everything everytime they use it. I highly recommend this place. I've been coming here to get my nails done for the past year. This past time I got a gel manicure and for some reason the color started fading after two weeks. I went back to see if they can do it again and if I can get a discount since I'm used to my nails lasting a month. The owner wanted to give me $3 off. So I told them I just want to get the color removed. A lady removed the color and when I went to pay the owner told me $5. So I told him $2 right, with the discount? His response was $3 if you get a new color. And his justification was for the color fading was...sometimes hair dye can change the color on the nails. This got me so upset, because I have never dyed my hair in my life. Very disappointed that I've been coming here for a year and after paying $60 for a manicure not including tip the owner wants to give $3 as a discount. I will not be returning here. read more

The nail techs should NOT, I repeat, NOT offer $$$ additional services in the middle of an already agreed upon service, without disclosing a cost, or do so in such broken English, may have never had mentioned it. They use their language barrier as part of the scam at Wonder Nail, and the customer pays for it at checkout. They know what they are doing, they know. They are instructed to upsell, well and sell. It's actually disgusting and a poor way to conduct business. I am so happy to have found an honest, clean and ethical place to bring my business to. So I go and need a quick polish change. He tells me to pick a color and I do, then I sit and a really sweet lady helps me and paints my nails. My daughter really wanted her nails done but always picks the nail polish off so I told her it this time but the sweet lady said she will paint just a quick one coat over her nails. She didn't have to do that. So here's where it starts. My daughter who is three is waiting for my nails to dry and starts showing me nail polishes (only the sparkle ones) and how pretty they are. You can tell the guy is already annoyed I have my daughter and is staring at her the whole time like she is going to steal something or throw it I don't know really. I ask her to put them back and she complies with me. She then starts playing with mini fan on the table where I am, trying to turn it on and bring it close nothing out of the ordinary she's three and I am drying my nails in front of that same fan right next to her. She stops and last what set me off there is a hook for the fan to go on when they aren't using it and she grabbed the hook and tried hanging the fan on the hook. He came right over and grabbed the hook right out of her hands and turned off the fan I was drying my nails at and said "YOUR DONE" I said I don't think they are dry! And he just stands there and stares at me. Well I haven't paid yet and at this point I am about to lose it on him for already grabbing something out of my daughters hands but I go to grab my money before I flip out on him and what happens???? I mess up my nail! I said "TOLD YOU THEY ARENT DRY" so I sit and wait for her to come back and fix my nail. I waited another 15 mins just for my nail to get done. But it's ok bc i let me daughter be her normal sweet self and explore. This is one of those salons where they try to upsell you on everything and if you insist on the standard pedicure, they rush through and do as a little as possible. I went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and the lady doing my toes asked 3x if I wanted a gel pedicure. Each time I told her I just wanted the standard pedicure, nothing special. She then asked multiple times if I wanted a salt scrub, callus remover, Exta minutes on my massage, etc. after saying no to everything, she spent about 5 seconds scrubbing each foot and 10 seconds massaging each foot. Aside from the TERRIBLE customer service, she filed my nails down too short and did a generally lazy job. Complete waste of money and time. Do not go to this salon! read more

I have been coming here for about a year. They have several good technicians and several bad ones too. My issue with this salon is the upcharging and gouging they do to there clientele. I have been charged anywhere from $32 to $58 for the same gel pedicure that I get every time. I will no longer patronize this establishment. When I discussed the discrepancy in the fee with the owner for the same pedicure that I had received three weeks earlier, he said that he allows each nail technician to determine the fees. I said that this does not make sense since he has a list of fees and charges listed and he is not sticking to his list of fees for services rendered. He argued with me and said that each technician determines there own fees. So not only did the owner lie to me but they will stick it to you if given the opportunity. My daughter used to come to this place but stopped due to the same reason: each time she came she would get a dramatically different price for the same service. The last time I came they charged me $58 for a basic gel pedicure. No design or anything special. When I talked with the owner that a couple of weeks ago they had charged me $38 for the same pedicure, he said that there was nothing he could do cause pricing is determined by the tech. Really, an owner of a business is going to allow his employees to gouge clients. The reality is that he wants the techs to gouge the clients. Run the other way and avoid this place like the plague. You're nothing but a piggy bank for them to rob!!! read more

First time getting my nails done here. The staff was friendly and kind and the gel nails were a fairly decent price ($25 non-OPI gel w/ $5 for design). In terms of nails, the lady who did mine was very attentive and gel cured each nail individually. She didn't understand what I meant when I asked for a half-moon design but other staff quickly jumped in and explained to her! I was originally going to give a 3 but after noticing bubbling, bumps, and having a nail chip from grabbing a plate, I'm going to have to give it a 2. I just had my gels done yesterday afternoon and it chipped today - barely over 24 hours! I covered it up with a topcoat to keep from chipping but I'm very disappointed. I've gotten gels done before and they've never chipped this early in the game (I've treated them rougher too!) :( P.S.: I'd attach pictures but my phone can't zoom into my nails to show the details. read more

My first time here and I had Michelle do my toes and I loved her work. Not only did she just do my pedicure, she spoke to me and wanted to know me. Most technicians don't even bother to talk to you. She was very sincere and polite. Always asked me if I liked how my toes were coming out. I really appreciated that. She was AMAZING!! My toes look alive again! So I have been going here for a while and never questioned the pricing. I usually get dip mani and gel pedi and pay around 100 but the pricing does fluctuate for unknown reasonsToday I went in for a gel pedi. The pedi I selected was $33 that included the callous remover. The gel of course is extra and I have never asked the price. When I went to pay, they told me it was $51. When I questioned the price, they said it was 2 or 3 extra for the callous remover and 15 extra for the gel. I know there is inflation, but $15-18 more for gel is ridiculous. They lied about the pricing when questioned, so I am pretty sure they make the prices up as they go along. The owner wasn't in today, so maybe they just pocket the extra. I went in for the first time to Wonder Nails for a mani pedi on March 30th. When cutting my toe nails, I immediately felt the cut too short on my big toe and it hurt very much. The corner had been really cut down and round. Buy the next morning, I had a terrible infection. I called after two days to let them know about the infection and that I needed medical attention and the only response I received was "ok, I'll let them know." Not a sorry or are you ok? No concern what so ever. It's obvious they do not care about their customers or sterilize their tools. The other issue I had was that I paid for a spa mani/pedi, but as soon as my toes were done, I was asked to move from the comfortable chair to a regular side chair. Their only concern is getting in as many customers as possible, not for the care or comfort of their clients. Really bad customer service. read more

I used to love this place only because of how amazing Kristy did my nails unfortunately she no longer works there & I refuse to go back. Every single time I go the price seems to change every time! It can range from around $30 up to $80 for a basic gel manicure depending on how greedy the owner is feeling that day. The place is a joke. The last time I went in, I got a regular pedicure & a week later ended up with what looks like toe fungus. I am completely disgusted & will never go back. Got a pedicure here over the weekend. Chose a #3, $35, okay cool. Go to pay and was charged over $50?!? I do have gel so I understand the $5 to take it off and the $5 to reapply but that $45. I should have said something because it didn't seem right and it wasn't until I got home when I thought about and realized... that seemed like bait and switch. I've only been here a couple of times through out the years. They keep changing management. Came here within the past few weeks because I was shopping at Vons and saw a sign that read, "We have Gel Polish".. Been hearing about this 'gel polish', which is just regular old nail polish (no extensions, no fake nails, no acrylics) lasts about two weeks, no chipping, no peeling. I usually do my own nails and apparently, I can't go five days without chipping my nails! So I went in to try it out. Walked in here and it was not very inviting. The decor, the paint on the walls, the tables, everything.. it lacks a lot. Cold, uncomfortable. It didn't feel very sanitary. Not exactly a place I can relax. The gel polish options weren't much. They have about 18 solid colors to use.. and you can also do french tips. The staff was pretty nice and friendly, though. My nails did look great and it did last up to about two weeks. It didn't chip once.. I took it off because my nails started to grow out and I was getting that infamous gap at the bottom of my nails. Gel Polish is the best invention ever!!! Highly suggest Gel Polish but I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

So I went on Tuesday to get my nails done with my friend. I got a fill an gel on top of the color. I do a lot of paperwork so I need something to make the color last. Its now Thursday, two days later, my thumbs, index finger, a middle nail an ring nail are all cracked an chipping... Two words. Great. Service. I went here for the first time today and was totally pleased with how nice the staff was. I didn't know it closed at 5, so I walked in with my friend at 4:50 and they still took us in. Not to mention, they made us feel right at home and brought mini water bottles and even a magazine to read. It made the other place I usually go to seem like crap. PS. NEVER GO TO ROYAL NAILS off Foothill and Garey if you're ever in the area. Yea, it's a little cheaper but the service was AWFUL. I'd rather pay the extra few bucks and get quality service than be rushed and treated like trash. They make you wait for forever and the quality of service is really only good from one lady there. Back to Wonder Nails. I'm a pedicure fan, and the lady who worked on my feet did a great job. Very thorough. Let me start off by first stating that I never really complain about a place; I mean why would I go out of my way to shame a business/workers....well that all changed after today,here's my story that I had to share.So I decided to check out this place because it was close by and got decent reviews.....boy was I WRONG! I decided to get the hot gel because one of the girls working there said how great they were and how natural they feel. Long story short I ended up getting the hot gel, four days later one nail starts to chip/crack and the nail polish starts to come off and on another nail only the polish starts to come off. They do offer a 10 guarantee on their nails; if anything happens to your nails they will fix it free of charge...cool right? NO WRONG!! If you get your nails repaired here do so at your own risk! They butchered my nails and mysteriously didn't have the same color that i originally had gotten. So now two of my nails do not match the rest of my hand and, to be blunt, it looks like a blind elementary school student did the repairs on my nails. The reviews about the GREAT service here...sure only if you're the right color they will cater to your every need, if not then you get mediocre service at best. After everything listed above, ladies make the trip to a real salon and pay the extra $$$ to get your nails done the right way so you don't walk out angry and embarrassed.
