Went there for lunch. I like the ambience and the food was great. The server was very friendly. Great place for breakfast and lunch.

Went to Wonder to get a coffee... When I first walked up to the building, a woman in a beat-up Range Rover had parked in the red. While walking by the car, a big dog lunged out the window at me and proceeded to bark like a rabid hyena. I walked inside and said, "Who's Range Rover is parked in the red? Your dog just tried to attack my friend!" A woman there said "Me, sorry about the dog, she does that all the time!" That same woman proceeded to stand there and chop it up with the employees, whom she knew on a first name basis, that was our first red flag. I played it safe and ordered a vanilla latte. I figured since they had a large La Marzocco the coffee had to be good. Well it couldn't be further from that premonition. On top of the lackluster quality the service was god awful. The only redeeming moment of service was asking me after I received my coffee, "do you want cold foam?" I said sure. At which point she pulled out a bottle of WHIPPED CREAM... not exactly cold foam. My friend ordered a matcha and to no one's surprise it was terrible. I honestly can't attest to the quality of the food, but the service and drinks were bad enough to never return! I don't recall the day when my husband and I were there, but the owners will certainly remember the day they told a customer to leave! The women was shocked when she was told, after driving specifically to Wonder so she could try their food, that they had "closed down the grill early" so they could get their son to the orthodontist. The potential customer was very upset with the owners and when she saw us sitting at our table, she walked towards us and said, "I've never been kicked out of ANY establishment before and I'm in shock!" We honestly didn't really know what was going on, and just told her we were sorry for what was happening to her. She walked out the door and as she did, the Woman Owner came to us and said, "We have to get our son to the orthodontist. And then she said, "Life gets in the way, right?" We were shocked! I wanted to comment but why bother. You can't match wits with an unarmed person. The food wasn't even good. The cold brew I ordered was clearly NOT a cold brew. It was a cold coffee that was made earlier and they topped it off with oat milk. In the end, they did that other customer a favor, and showed us where their priority lies. the staff were very friendly and the ambiance was so cute (which is why i came to take out my lil sis for a cute date). however, the drinks matcha/coffee were not good (ratios off with coffee/matcha to milk and sweetener. the server was nice enough to give us a different drink when we tried the matcha and didn't like it!! that's a plus, but even then, the coffee's we got after were bad.... the food however, was okay. the food/drinks are pretty average here, so wouldn't come again, but the environment and staff were lovely! read more

Found this cute little place when looking for nearby coffee shops in Palm Desert. This has to be newer? It's adorable! The vibe is fun, light, and airy. The dinosaur is a staple out front. We only stopped here for coffee but would love to come back for a sit down meal. All staff members present were so friendly and had big smiles when we walked in. Their Iced Chocolate Horchata Latte special had me hesitant at first because I love horchata, but am not really a fan of chocolate in drinks (aside from a classic hot chocolate, of course). I decided to give it a try and it was delicious! Sweet, but not too sweet, and the chocolate was a fun twist with the horchata flavor. I was sipping every last bit. Such a cute little gem for brunch in Palm Desert. Love the decor and the vibe. We started with the Mimosas to share and loved the variety of juices they give you. Our food was excellent. My husband had the breakfast burrito, which was huge and so good!! And I had the French toast which was delicious. What a great family owned business! Our first time here and we enjoyed it. Staff were welcoming and informative. We ordered a salted caramel coffee and a strawberry matcha. The salted caramel latte was a bit sweet for me personally. However, I believe it was a perfect balance for guests who enjoy sweet coffees. The strawberry matcha was good. We also order the spicy fried chicken sandwich. Whatever sauce they use on that is wonderful! They also did a great job with the decor. Clean and modern. Best experience of the whole weekend. We were greeted by a staff member who felt like a long lost auntie who was excited to see me and my kids. The staff continued to be so nice and accommodating throughout our whole visit. Being patient with my loud and messy kid and checking in regularly. Ambiance is a cute, clean coffee shop/cafe. The food: For starters the portions were huge and the price was beyond reasonable for the size. My husband and I shared the bean breakfast burrito that was great. Where to begin ? I was excited to see a new place in town. Place was pretty busy. Very nice pastries . Pricing for coffee is ridiculous. I asked for half and half coconut and almond milk and they charged me 2.00 I don't even get charged that at the airport when I ask for a split! My latte was 8.00 . They also charge for the syrup. The wall hanging stated 5.00 for latte and I was charged 6.00 with brown sugar. Donut was excellent per my daughter Coffee was ok We had the loaded hasbrowns they were good as well. Service is subpar- manager was either naturally rude and not friendly or over tired . Barista cashier seemed nice . Very cute place nice ambiance. Finally was able to check out this place, and I'm glad I did! This place is open 8am - 2pm everyday except Wednesdays. Great place for a coffee, mimosa or beer or breakfast/brunch. Plenary if hot food options and assorted pastries. Sausage egg cheddars cheese arugula breakfast sandwich (brioche bun): 4 stars 4 stars and very good! Perfectly cooked and fluffy scrambled egg, melted cheddar cheese and a fat sausage patty with fresh arugula to add a little something extra. Put this on a soft brioche bun and you have a great 4 stars sandwich. I'm giving the sandwich 4 stars because as good as the sausage was, I think it could use a little more seasoning. The sausage patty is good and my guess is that it's made in house. I would order this sandwich again. Service and decor is 5 stars- cute little boutiquey breakfast place and refreshingly mixed-age crowd for the area. Think I found a great new coffee / breakfast place. read more

Dined on a Sunday morning for breakfast. I got the avocado toast, which was really good, and a strawberry matcha, which was okay. The strawberry made the drink a little sour. It's a cute place for breakfast and brunch photos. The service was good, though they didn't check up on us as much, probably because they were busy. They didn't have a separate breakfast menu for coffee and other pastries, but it was posted on their wall, so we were still able to see it and order. I'd love to try their lunch menu next time. Nice new place with a down under flavor. Some traditional, some unique breakfast, lunch and coffee menu items. You order at the counter then find a place to sit. Was set up for tables mostly settings for two but I'm sure they can set it up for larger parties. My wife said it reminded her of a ice cream shop. It was white, clean and brand new. They have a pastry display with croissants and other sweets. The Americano coffee was hot and hit the spot. The Desert Vegetarian entree was tasteful with a spicy touch too it. Interesting combination of vegetables with scrambled eggs. Wonder Big Breakfast plate with Sausage and hashbrown. Both entrees had buttered toast. Hands-down, the best eatery in town. I've been waiting for a place like this to open in the area, something comparable to the creative eats you can find in a bigger city. The menu items are unique and flavorful. The quality and, and the hardest thing to find around here, consistent. Staff is genuinely friendly, and remembers and appreciates the locals. It's unbelievable to me that most places I've been going to for literally years around here don't even so much as acknowledgement me or ask if I'm having the usual. I only seems to be an experience I have around the CV. Anyway, wonder is wonderful! One thing I will say is they will not bend over backward or apologize if you are the type that likes to complain. Best burger in the desert! They load you with fries and it's nothing short of perfection

Came here soon after they opened. Ordered a flat white. When I saw the cup coming out I started to get worried- it was a 16oz cup. I was served a latte- 14oz of milk with espresso. I ordered 4oz of milk and espresso. I thought if it was on the menu they would know how to make it. The owner asked if everything was ok and I quietly went up to him to explain- I ordered a flat white and "this isn't a flat white" to which he replied- yes it is. I explained the whole point of the drink is the size/ratio. He told me I was wrong and offered to put my drink in a smaller cup to appease me. He mentioned something about the prices being the a same for all the drinks. I'd honestly pay $10 for a real flat white. It's not the price- it's the fact that I couldn't get what I ordered. Overall a major turnoff for me. Doesn't seem the owners understand American hospitality. He simply could have listened and asked me- "what is a flat white to you and we'll try to make it" - that's all I was looking for. And if they did know how to make it- I'd be buying one every day, as I pass it on my daily walk. Unfortunately they've lost a local/ year round customer. read more

came in on a saturday morning around 9AM with my partner to grab a london fog + some donuts since we've been here last year but haven't been in a while. the barista girl had an attitude when i asked if they had donuts available kind of like a no don't you see there's none on display.... me thinking maybe they're in the back or they just switched up the style... then my partner tries to order a drink to go and they made it seem like it was an inconvenience for them. the girl kept rolling her eyes at every question we had and when we waited for her to finish what she was doing so she could help us again there was an older lady idk if she was the owner or manager but just nasty unwelcoming attitude. asked us if we wanted a table i told her no just ordering two drinks thank you very nicely and she goes well it's going to be a while do you have time i told her yes of course no rush we are patient and then she goes are you? usually people aren't... i don't know why she was triggered to even combat with me and her responses were just so nasty. we decided to go elsewhere because of the unwelcoming attitude the staff all had, i can understand being stressed or under pressure when being busy at work but that is NO excuse to be rude to customers especially when im being nothing but kind!! kindness goes a long way esp if you work in customer service. sad that we just wanted to support our locals and were treated this way, would not recommend to anyone read more

The place is exactly like the pictures show. Plus, it has a cute white dinosaur outside the front door. Inside, it is bright and clean and excellent service! Food tasted very fresh with made in house scratch menu with some very solid choices- breakfast sandwiches on brioche or croissant, breakfast burritos, and an excellent veggie sandwich. I really enjoyed the espresso drinks and cold brew with the homemade house syrups. Just a heads up they don't have brewed coffee, but they can make you an Americano if you like. Can't wait to come back. * Parking can be a bit tricky since it's street parking -heads up * when you walk in, you can order at the counter to go for like coffees or you can choose to sit down and have brunch. read more

I came today, and for it being a Sunday around 11:30 it was not insanely busy! Service was great, the woman serving my boyfriend and i was helpful with the menu, welcoming, and very fun to talk to. We ordered the loaded hashbrowns and French toast, both the best we've ever had! Strawberry lemonade also was perfect, not too sweet or bitter. Food: 10/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Service 10/10 We actually were just visiting as we live 2 hours away, but definitely will be hitting this place first the next time we come to town. from our experience this business seems to be operated by really nice people, at least that's the impression i got from our waitress alone! read more
