    Tejas Carrot soufflé
    Monica D.

I could not find a place to check in for Tejas at this location so I will just leave this here. Decided to try this place with a credit my job gave me. I had seen mixed reviews so I thought I'll use my credit and give it a try. I ordered The brisket and the carrot soufflé because it was different and also saw someone raving about it. There was nothing to rave about with either item. The meat was odd, it was tender however it didn't have the flavor or texture of something that was cooked low and slow. The taste was just good. The BBQ sauce was gross, overly sweet. The mustard one was great and I used it for potatoes another night as I felt it overwhelmed the flavor of the meat. The other sauce was fantastic and definitely made the meat much better. As for the carrot soufflé, what is that? It had this texture on top that was almost like a film and tasted like paper to the point I thought I might be biting into liner that was left on it. I'm glad I did not spend money on this meal, I will not be going back.

As people walk by as you sit in the mini food area which has 6 tables or so you can tell they are "wondering" what is this place. It is a diamond in the ruft literally located in Walmart in Teterboro NJ ambiance only has so much potential but while open it's a feeling of cozy and enclosed not exposed. What a gift of quality to the fast food industry. It really is 11-12 restaurants in one. I only had paper menus for 6. There literally should be a posterboard that says amount of restaurants in one with all varieties of food & every menu plastered on it. You can tell people want to know but don't go the extra step to investigate. Saw this cause I actually went 2 days in row because I was impressed & wanting it again (plus had to foodshop for a friend) so two one . How convenient is this if you order food shop pick up and go. Prices are more than reasonable for quality. Everything is electronic you can order for the Wonder App where you can sign in for coupons when offered or from one of the two kiosks. On the left tab are the choices of restaurants and on the top tabs (not as noticable) choices within the restaurant. Pay attention to add on like greek salad with or without pita don't bypass selection. So now for the food top chefs are involved in this restaurant not sure if they are creators, curators, investors or all of the above. Not sure how they are cooking this from fresh or frozen in broiler? grill? air fryer? deep fryer? but each execution feels like the correct method. The beef for the souvlaki is so tender while still maintaining grill. Keeps me wondering method. I had beef souvlaki over chopped romaine salad I kept looking for wilted salad there was none everything was crisp including grilled pita chips. Feta is chopped so his a longer way. Kalamata olives and olive oil are the real thing. Nice consistency to tzatziki (sour cream or yogurt w shredded cucumber & garlic) and baba ganoush (eggplants dip spread). My father in law had the chicken souvlaki over rice and was equally pleased. Can't wait to try more choices.

    The food came well packaged

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Plenty of Asian food vendors to choose from! 10ish from my count, including Tous de Jous and Gong Cha at the entrance. ++++ Food vendors include BBQ Chicken, Don Don Curry, Sang's Tofu and K-BBQ, Jeong's Noodle, Wok Bar, Gold Miss and many more. + All of the food from the vendors are reasonably priced at $10-$25, with the more expensive entrees being EASILY shareable amongst 2-3 people. Some have Grab and Go sections too. + They have a big retail area to the side that sells stationary, accessories and lifestyle products - beware of letting your young kids into it because you might leave a few bucks light in your wallet! + PLENTY of tables and seats inside, even when crowded. + Right across from the hugeee H Mart food market. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Nada. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Recently dined in on a Friday evening from 6-7:30 PM and it was prettty busy inside, but still had a lot of open tables. The mall DOES get crazy crowded on Saturday evenings, so can imagine the same happening in the H Mart Food Hall as well during peak lunch and dinner dining times.

I will warn that the batter is a bit thick so I heavily advise you eat over the container so it doesn't drop off the stick and onto the floor. The hotdog or sausage they used tasted better than the cheese too (in my opinion). And I love that right outside there is a plethora of sauces you can drizzle on top! Ordering was done via a self service kiosk too and then you took a little buzzer that went off when your order was ready which was cute.

Perhaps it's because of the sheer size of the mall or perhaps people were busy celebrating Mother's Day elsewhere, but it wasn't as busy or crowded as I would've expected. Although the food court wasn't packed, the wait for Jollibee was insane (probably a 25-35 minute wait). It was worth it though, I hope more malls in the U.S. have Jollibee. After eating, I explored the mall a bit. American Dream has a NHL-reuglate size ice skating rink (entrance is on the first floor, where you can also get the tickets). But what's wilder is the ski and snowboard resort - the first indoor snow resort in North America. I didn't go in but I could feel the chilliness from the condensation on the windows. There's also an NJ Hall of Fame, laser tag, Sesame Street Learn & Play, and Nickelodeon Universe inside. You can enter Nickelodeon Universe (no tickets needed) but you need to buy points to go on the rides. Even if you don't go on the rides, there are plenty of photo ops. I saw Spongebob and Squiward taking photos on a stage. Other cool things about American Dream: A ferris wheel called American Dream that allows you to see the NYC skyline, a Toys "R" Us train that goes around on one floor, and HMart. There is a fancier part of American Dream with high-end stores, too. I didn't come here for shopping though. Plenty of spots in the parking garage and it's $6 for each vehicle, though the first 15 minutes are free.

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ EXCELLENT Korean food with at least 33 items to choose from (plus new items they had posted by the cashier glass window). ++++ Sobulgogi Combo (#33) was superrrr delicious. The beef bulgogi was very fresh (as in piping hot), flavorful and tender. The small stone bowl of tofu (we got seafood) was also fantastic too. ++++ Dwejibulgogi Doisotbap (new on their menu), which was basically the same as the stone bowl rice entrees, but with sauteed sliced pork loin was excelllent too. Plenty of meat, rice and a perfectly runny egg on top. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Nothing! This simple stall was just like the others, serving simple, but delicious vendor food. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Like the other stalls inside of this H Mart, this looked to be mom and pop run. = Just remember to return your tray and their bowls back to this stall just like the others.

The plate looked very attractive and well presented. It came with fried chicken cut into pieces, ramen noodles, shrimp, and a spicy touch that added a lot of flavor. The dish also comes with a sauce that you can either pour over the plate or use as a dip. I personally preferred dipping the fried chicken instead of pouring the sauce over everything, which kept the chicken crispy. The combination of fried chicken, noodles, shrimp, and the spicy flavor worked really well together. I really enjoyed it, and this has definitely become one of my favorite dish of this food stands inside the H-Mark market. The food court is shared with other food stamp. There's always a table that you could grab because people tend to eat and leave fast. And there is always a staff ready to clean the tables if they're dirty. We went with the #21 Jjamppong Ramyun and the #06 Chicken Fried Noodle. The standout for us was the noodle texture; you can tell it's high quality, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The only thing to keep in mind is that because it's a popular food court, finding seating was a bit of a mission (we waited about 20 minutes). However, once you taste the food of this food court you'll understand why it's so crowded. A total culinary gem that is worth the visit. A bit noisy from the people chatting and low music.

The only employee I could see was seated and so completely engrossed in his phone that he didn't even realize I was there for a solid minute. When he finally looked up, I placed my order -he seemed pleasant enough- and then he gave me a buzzer to let me know when my food was ready. I thanked him and went to sit at a spot right in front of the place. After feeling like I had waited an inordinately long amount of time (considering I was the only customer at the time), I went over to see how much longer; I found my food sitting and waiting for me and was none the wiser since my buzzer never actually, well, buzzed. Smh. When I finally sat down to eat, my food was still hot and smelled pretty awesome. The food was flavorful and seasoned well. According to the gentleman who works there, they cannot make it spicy, but they did give me a couple of hot sauce packets on the side. The portion was large; I couldn't finish the entire thing, so I went to the counter to ask for a lid for my leftovers, which he gave me without any problems, and I went on my merry way. Overall, it was what you would expect to receive from a mall food court with the bonus of a delicious meal. I would go back when I'm back in the area.
