If anyone gives Wong Express less than 5 stars they must normally eat grass. I don't normally like bamboo but I do when it's cooked at Wong. To me the egg rolls are better than a hot fudge Sunday. My Mongollian Chicken could be cat and I still wouldn't give a F because it taste like heaven to me. The drive thru is so fast it makes Jimmy John's look slow. One of the better Kung Pao chicken dishes I've had anywhere around. Not perfect; could use a little more peanuts and sauce, but I enjoy the mushrooms, there's plenty of chicken and onions, and thank god they don't put those disgusting miniature corn cobs in them or half-fill the container with celery like many places do. Not that good. Food was medicore, at best. I was hoping it would be ok since the ratings were good. The fried rice was pretty gross, old tasting. My buddy got an orange chicken dish and the first one the chicken tasted gross and then when we inquired he said it was made of dark chicken but you could get in white (which my buddy prefers) so thankfully they switched it out but, it still was not that great (although better than the first). I had a thin noodle dish (which I generally love) it was bland and not the best tasting either. Oh..and the tea tasted like dish soap....I think it was on the glasses cuz as I refilled you could taste it less. read more

Ok, I love Chinese food and in my travels, I will stop and try a new one. My goal is to try every one. This time, I was hungry and yelped this place. Impressed by the high rating, I tried not to get too excited. I ordered the goto, baseline, sesame chicken. I feel that if a restaurant can't make a great Sesame Chicken then why bother. Happily, It was very good. Very yummy and an ample portion. Delicious fried rice and egg roll. If I'm within 10 miles of this joint and I gets a rumbly in my tumbly, Im going. The next follow up dish is always Almond Chicken. Oh, best part is they have a freaking drive thru window. Thank God it's 25 minutes away from my house or I'd be a slave to the Wong. Wong Express House has been around for a long time and for good reason: this is the best Chinese food in the Brighton area. It sets the bar for great Chinese food. The menu is huge, and the pricing is excellent. The dishes I've tried have all exceeded my expectations. The service is quick, friendly, and polite. The inside has a good atmosphere for dining with a family or grabbing something fast on lunch break. We called a little after 8:00 on Christmas Eve to place a take out order. I was expecting a long wait time, but 15 minutes later, we had our food. The order was accurate and the food was hot and good. This is the second year we ordered take out from Wong Express on Christmas Eve. This restaurant has been around for many years and that is probably due to the really good food they have. I like seeing the same family preparing the food every time we go there. It feels good to patronize a family run business rather than a corporate chain. read more

I went to Wong Express House for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had the General's Chicken lunch combo and a bowl of Hot and Sour soup. The service was fast and courteous and the food was above average. The Hot and Sour soup could have been hotter for my taste but was very flavorful. The General's Chicken was quite good and the combo came with the house BBQ Pork Fried rice which was fantastic and an average egg roll. When my meal showed up the plate seemed pretty small, however, by the end of the meal I was stuffed. I walked out fat and happy wondering how they snuck so much food on that little plate and for under 8 bucks and 20 minutes. They also have a drive through window which I will be frequenting from now on when craving Chinese. read more

Omg finally a Chinese place that doesn't serve garbage near Howell. This is hands down the best around. We have tried every where and it has all been terrible. We ordered the chicken lo mein which was great and the general tso with chicken fried rice and we got egg rolls as well. All of which was around $26 but great. Going inside is a little odd because it isn't set up as a traditional restaurant, there is not cash register desk to go to but the staff is nice and they come right out to you to take your order or to bring it out to you to go. Never again... egg roll soggy and doughy ( sent it back, second one was the same). Service terrible. Took one bite of my food and sent it back, was still charged for a portion of my food, was not told about being charged for it but swiped my card without notifying me first. Is it just me or is it always scary trying out a new Chinese place for the first time? I ordered Wonton Soup and Beef Lo Mein at the drive-thru. (Granted I went and hour before they closed so I wasn't expecting the freshest food off the line at any fast food place.) The soup was cold, and they forgot the little crispy wontons. The Lo Mein was probably the most greasy I've ever had and the beef was an unknown texture that wasn't very pleasurable. Since moving to Brighton a little over a year ago I've tried many Chinese restaurants in the area and am really glad I found this place. Before I moved I had been going to the same place for 20 years and was trying to find my new go to Chinese spot. Everywhere I tried either the food wasn't very good, portions were super small, was too expensive, etc. The food isn't amazing here but it is really good, portions are pretty big, and they are always super friendly. Absolutely disgusting! I ordered from there today for the first time, and I will never go back again. I ordered the general chicken and fried dumplings. The general chicken was gummy and obviously microwaved in a flavorless orange sauce. The dumplings were huge, burned, and had a foul smell to them. I took one bite and threw all $18.00 worth of food in the trash. One star is way too generous. read more

Wong is the place to be, Jian (gin) is the best and the waitstaff is extremely friendly. My family and I have been going there for a little over a year and my friends and I go regularly. They always welcome you with a smile and seem excited to see you, they will begin to know your order and you might start to question if you go there too much, but trust me you don't. Excellent BBQ Pork Fried Rice. I have had the Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken lunch combos and both are delicious. Highly recommend.

Love the food but they always forget to give me my crispy noodles for my soup.
