Just ordered because of the recent positive reviews since new management. They delivered really quickly and the food is outstanding. The egg drop soups has a ton of flavor as does the veg LoMein and veggie eggs rolls. The rice isn't the best I've tasted but it definitely isn't bland. I will order again. I made an online order and they called to confirm the delivery. I was told it was going to take an hour. I kindly told them that it was a long time for a delivery and I would need to cancel the order. They put me on hold for a minute and then again told me an hour. I again apologized and told them to cancel the order. The employee hung up on me. They then called me back and told me they could have it ready in 20 minutes if I picked it up. Another Chinese Restaurant in Killeen. So many to choose from but not many that are good. I was referred to this place by a friend because she said they were better than my fave spot(PEKING). But I won't say her name because I'm not the type to throw "shade". So, I ordered the chicken fried rice and chicken wings. The chicken fried rice was maybe a good 3.5 . Decent flavor and you get a lot fir your money. The fried chicken wings were fried way to hard making them fried out and no tenderness whatsoever. Plus I didn't taste any seasoning. I heard it has gotten better since new management which I guess is a good thing. I would recommend the fried rice but not the wings. I will not be back and stay at PEKING. This is the second time we have had food from here. The first time my husband took his to work and found a part of a metal grill cleaning tool in his. When I went back in they said they would remake it but never again after that. I told them I would hope there wouldn't be another time. This time had Generals chicken and it was average with zero flavor. My family had teriyaki chicken and part of it was scorched. The fried rice in a tiny bowl was the worse we have ever had. Rice and soy sauce sopping in it and that was it. We will never go back again. They should be ashamed of serving that food and charging so much for it. read more

Definitely some of the better Chinese food we've found in this area! The general Taos chicken, moo goo gai pan and lo mein were all a hit and a huge amount of food. We easily have a full 2nd meal for the entire family. I would definitely recommend for take out over every option we have tried in Belton, Killeen & Temple. Just get extra rice because they all give enough for a small serving. I do have some complaints about our experience, though. We place the same order at every Chinese restaurant and generally spend anywhere from $32-$37, our Bill here was $48. We did get a large amount of food, but it wasn't a substantially larger amount warranting such a large bill for 3 plates and a small appetizer. I wouldn't recommend eating inside. They definitely are not equipped for dining in. Also, it kind of irks me when things are incorrectly advertised. They have a 32oz cup displayed and the cashier even informed us of that when ordering, so we wouldn't get such a large drink for the kids. When the drinks came, they were 12oz and they wanted $1 for refills. Not a huge deal, but we will definitely order to go in the future. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant since it has opened. And over time owners come and go, that includes the cook and the persons taking your order. I never had any major issues since I've been ordering my food here. Haven't tried the fried whole tilapia lately, but it's usually good with the ginger sauce on the side. And you can request to cut the head off also...... This evening I called in for pick up, and the lady said it will be ready in 15 mins. I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan and House Fried Rice.... My food was actually waiting for me already when I walked in and my food was hot and fresh when I got home. They do give you a lot of food though for the price you pay. I have left overs for the next two days!!!! LOL .... The moo goo gai pan had a lot of chicken in it and the vegetables were pretty good also. Crab Rangoons don't have that sweet creamy taste to it it's also bland. The egg rolls they honestly taste like they were frozen and fried not freshly made. I have to apologize. I've put a lot of bad things in my body; beer, greasy food, maybe a lil weed in my MUCH younger years (who can say?). I ordered a Teriyaki chicken and when I got home, I almost died from the amount of salt they put in it and there wasn't anything sweet about the sauce. I called and the lady was very sweet and told me since they were closing, I can bring it back the next day. I did just that. I arrived and was told my order will take 30 minutes, which I had no problem with. After about an hour and I started noticing people who came after me where receiving their orders, I asked about my food. I was told it wasn't ready yet because it takes a long time. (Bull heifing shyt) they acted like they had to goncatch and kill the chicken. So I asked for a refund and the idiot male said no and wanted to argue with me. Terrible customer service!! I ended up telling them to keep the food and I left with my crying baby. This place is definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone. For a new management, they sure are not acting like it. However it takes an hour to make, and it wasn't even during a busy time, They told me 30-45 minutes and I err on the side of caution and arrived at 45 minutes..however, still not done! Chinese Kitchen has its ups and downs. It's by no means great Chinese, but certainly not the worst. It's your typical Americanized Chinese food. They have a pretty extensive menu with a wide variety of options. To commemorate the passing of Peng Chang-kuei, I ordered the General Tso's chicken. I also treated myself to the Chinese style spicy chicken wings. First and foremost...the portions are massive. There was enough Gen Tso to feed two. Big huge chunks of chicken, lightly battered and perfectly fried. The sauce wasn't overly sweet, but was lacking in flavor and spiciness. The dish suffered from a lack of salt. The chicken was swimming in the sauce, which was a bit soupy in consistency. Not terrible, but just a bit bland. There was also a generous portion of wings. There must have been around 12-14 pieces. They were also fried to perfection. Super crispy, tender, and juicy. They were then quickly stir fried with onions and copious amounts of red pepper and onions. They only thing missing...yup. You guessed it. Salt. Prices are average and the young lady working the counter was very friendly. Although the food was severely lacking in seasoning, it beats the alternative of being too salty. There's a good chance I will order from here again...I'll just be sure to have my salt shaker handy. read more

Me and my silly self goes back again for 4 time! Yes, I know! But, see what happened was...... my dad and I wanted some Kimchi fries and all we needed was bulgogi and kimchi. So, I prayfully ordered. 2 1/2 stars. Good not great customer service. Their mandoo/gyoza/pot stickers are partially pan fried and steamed which is a healthier way of eating it and it's delicious! I had their Lunch special galbi. It tastes just like it looks - bland and boring. The galbi is not marinated but has a sauce/glaze on it that tastes more like "duck" sauce combined with orange sauce. They did give me 6 good size shrimp but the fried rice is very basic with rice and scrambled egg. I think I enjoyed eating the egg roll more than my entree. read more

So to start I have a question for you, do you enjoy yelling at teenage girls? I take it you have never worked in a retail or service job because if you had then you wouldn't yell at someone for something they have no control over. For a grown adult who is now a mother to act this way is appalling, you show no manners or civility to someone who is trying to do their job, and doing it well. Other people got their food before you, that is because their food didn't take as long to cook. The manager was trying to explain this but you thought it was best to get into a yelling match with him instead of listening. Thankfully I was able to hear this and tell you this now, chicken takes longer to cook than fried food. By the way, you ordered right before me and your food was ready before mine. I know this because they brought it out and put it on the counter before mine was done. I could have told you this as you decided to type your review in your car but I didn't know if doing something considerate for you would result in me getting punished. We thought it may have been an honest mistake. They refused to replace the meal and they refused to refund for their mistake. I will never eat there again, and in a small town, that means a lot. They are loosing perhaps thousands all because of "their version" of chow mein, is not actually chow mein. I will not be returning. Customer service is essential to a great business for me. My husband and I ordered two combos from their website. This was our 1st time ordering here. Upon picking up our food, I was not given the drinks that came with our combos as it was written in the online menu. I had paid and even given a tip. I asked for our drinks and was advised that the combos have changed. You mean to tell me the combo changed within the 15min of me ordering. The young lady at the register shows me the menu in the restaurant. I showed her on my phone that that menu is not reflected on their website. I was not going to accept no for an answer. She tells me the fountain is out and I see canned sodas on the back shelf. I told her we will take the cans. She tells me the canned sodas only come with some other combos. Are you serious? Not today, it's the whole principle. You should honor what you advertise. After about 10min of her trying to explain and calling the manager and explaining; she could've given me the two overpriced canned sodas. She tells me she can give them to me this time, like she's doing me a favor. I kindly advised her there wont be a next time.
