    Penne Alla Vodka

Portions are pretty big, menu has a lot of good options. Some of the cocktails don't taste very strong though look nice. Service is quick and friendly. There is a lot of parking and seating. Penne alla vodka is one of my favorite dishes here though their menu has pretty good variety. We tried the doughnut cheesecake as well and it was ok, though a bit sweet for me. Outside seating can be a bit loud depending what is going on.

Service was good and quick. The bar area was really packed because of football, so we sat in the dining room but could still see the TV. The food was good.

Stopped in after snow tubing nearby. Large space with ample seating. Pretty large menu for both food and drinks. We shared two sangria pitchers, which were very fruity and tasted like juice (I say that in a good way!). We started with the Mac and cheese flatbread, which was a hit at the table. Food took a while to come despite being fairly empty- though it was during a snow storm so may have just been short staffed. I liked the blackened chicken penne and thought it had good spice to it. Service slowed by the end of the meal, so it took a while to get the check and pay. A good casual stop that is family friendly and reasonably priced. Wouldn't mind stopping in again if in the area in the future!

Came here before a concert. We didn't realize you needed a reservation. I'm not sure if it was because of the concert night or just in general. Luckily, it was only 2 of us, and we were able to sit at a table in the bar area. The restaurant was clean and the service was great! My aunt ordered the fish and chips, and she loved it. I ordered the half rack of ribs with french fries. I really enjoyed them! Very tender and full of flavor. Will definitely return!

Food was perfectly average, one huge pet peeve for me though is when I order something like an appetizer at an entree and then they bring it all out of the same time... That then gives me the quandary of which one do I want to suck more, the cold burger or the cold wings??..... Also they use some pretty cheap stuff, probably because it's a chain restaurant... Really crappy shoe string McDonald's french fries and the blue cheese had to viscosity of soup..... Last time I checked, there should be blue cheese in blue cheese dressing. I don't know what it is about New England and really really shitty chain restaurants, but they seem to have nailed it...

Our waiter, Evan was very polite and attentive. We sat outside under the tent which was nice so we could enjoy the beautiful weather. Food here is always consistent, good, and tasty! Two of my favorites are the spinach and artichoke dip app and the chop house salad, highly recommended! My husband I will visit again soon!

Wood-n-Tap is a local chain of casual American pubs that was founded in 2002. The chain was founded by business partners Phil Barnett and Mike Hamlin. Barnett attended CCSU and spent his college days working at Joe's Bar and Grill, and rented an apartment from Hamlin. Together this duo founded the original Wood-N-Tap in Hartford. The menu would feature an eclectic mix of classic American pub fare as well as some modern creations. Wood-n-Tap also boasts an impressive list of wine, craft beer, and craft cocktails. The original Hartford location's success would spark a franchise with additional locations built in Farmington, Southington, Rocky Hill, Newington, Vernon, Wallingford, Hamden, and Enfield. My family and I recently stopped at Wood-n-Tap's Wallingford location. We were out running errands late in the area and were getting hungry so we decided to stop for dinner. Although I've been to several Wood-n-Tap locations, this was my first time visiting the Wallingford location. The place was all decorated for the Holiday season and the staff were friendly and attentive. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Lamb Harissa Burger" (mint aioli, arugula, tomato topped with feta cheese and pickled red onions) with Parmesan Tater Tots. The meat was so juicy and delicious and it was complimented by the toppings and spices. That burger really hit the spot! My wife ordered the "Dirty Chicken Sandwich" (crispy chicken with a hint of spice, avocado, lettuce and chipotle aioli) with Sweet Potato Fries and my son had the "Kids-a-Dilla" with French Fries off of the Kid's Menu. All three of us were very happy with our food choices. It was nice to have a great meal and not have to worry about cooking after a long and busy day!

"Imitator, intimidator, stimulator Simulator, eliminator"…read more(Eminem) If ten state of the art golf simulators are your stimulators, you'll love a visit to Back 9 Social. And your visit will not be handicapped by a lack of gastropub like food and drink. Their golf simulators are very impressive and combine radar and camera technology to faithfully recreate some of the best courses in the world, including St Andrews, Pebble Beach, and 120+ others. A professional organization I belong to held a gathering there last night and had a great time. We ordered and paid for our drinks through their big bar through a QR code, but you can still pay the old-fashioned way with cash if you prefer. We had plenty of their pizzas which were quite yummy. Our golfers had a blast and I should point out that although some of the other customers I saw actually brought their own set of clubs, Back 9 can hook you up with their clubs for men, women, lefties, righties, and kids. And of course, plenty of tees and balls to whack into their high-definition screens. The facility is gorgeous, the golf simulators were amazing, the staff was helpful and friendly, and it was a very enjoyable experience.

We completely understand that the facility has every right to monitor alcohol consumption and prevent inappropriate behavior. Nobody wants people getting sloppy or disruptive, and we respect that. However, there's a much more professional and respectful way to handle it than what is done. We are unsure of her name, but the female manager present made us uncomfortable as she was constantly staring at our group throughout the evening instead of simply communicating expectations directly. The alcohol restrictions are also entirely ridiculous- I specifically was told by the bartender that I was being watched for alcohol consumption after having 2 Coronas in a time span of 1 hour and 45 minutes. The restriction on alcohol itself is not the main issue -- it's the way it is handled. We have felt watched and punished despite the fact that nobody in our group was loud, inappropriate, or intoxicated on multiple occasions. I also want to note that the bartenders have been spectacular and are always very nice. This is specially about the manager and the way she acts towards paying customers. When you're spending over $200 on the simulator alone, a little courtesy and respectful communication would go a long way. We really do like this place, but experiences like this make us hesitant to come back.

We had tickets at eight for Haunting at the Ridge about three minutes away. After looking at the menu, we decided to come here for dinner. I was very excited because of all the great menu options. The service was terrible from the start all around. We arrived at 6:15. There was two people in front of us. The hostess acknowledged us, but never took our name. A few minutes later, other people started coming in and she started taking their names and asking them if they wanted to sit outside. She never gave us that option. One of the people came in and started to debate whether or not they wanted to wait 20 minutes. She told them "You can stay or go, it doesn't matter to me." I should have known right there to leave. We were seated at 6:30 which was not a bad wait. 6:45 our orders were taken. Our waitress did not come back to the table one time after bringing our drinks. Never checked on us, never let us know what was going on with the food. She came back at 7:28 with our appetizer. We asked her how long would it take for the rest of our food. She apologized and said it would be another 20 to 25 minutes. I didn't understand how burgers take over an hour to make. We canceled the rest of the order. I was excited about the hotdog. Another letdown. It was cold when I got it and the chili on top had no flavor. I'm not even sure if it was deep-fried. Definitely not worth the $14.50 price. I will say the fries were very good. They were the only bright spot of the night. They have a lot to offer, but I would never come back here due to my experience.

This is categorized as a pastry stout and I really like those but have to be in the right mood for one. Preferably during the colder months out of the year. What makes up in the flavor and texture profile is a sweet, smooth, chocolate, creamy and rich beer that Steve and I shared. A whole pint of this might have been too much for me but Steve and I shared it which made it proportioned quite well. A wonderful start with this brewery and would love to try the other donut versions of this stout! I saw a French Toast one that also caught my eye!

Front Porch Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Wallingford, Connecticut in November…read more2017. It was founded by business partners James Flynn, Drew Peccerillo, Tiffany Ulrich and Ryan Voytek. Flynn began home brewing about five years earlier in a friend's backyard and eventually moved to brewing on his front porch (hence the name of the brewery). After he started getting better at home brewing, he decided to turn his hobby into a business. The small brewery brews a variety of different styles but mainly brews different kinds of IPAs and Sours. The small brewery and taproom has a one-barrel system and can only brew a small amount of beer at a time. They occasionally enlist the help of brewery collectives such as The Beeracks in East Haven or Twelve Percent Beer Project in North Haven in order to produce and distribute beer on a much larger scale. I've been visiting Front Porch Brewing since not long after they first opened. On my first visit, I ordered a flight which consisted of a Belgian Dubbel, a Session IPA, a Sour IPA, and a Pale Ale. The latter (named "Devil Children") was my favorite and the ABV appropriately clocked in at 6.66%. My most recent visit was this weekend to pick up some new cans that they released. Both new beers were brewed on a larger scale at Twelve Percent Beer Project and were available at both Twelve Percent and Front Porch's taproom. The first offering was a Double IPA called "Leaving So Soon?" It's aggressively brewed with Citra, Strata, Galaxy, and El Dorado hops. It had some lovely tropical notes from all of the different hops. It clocks in at 8% ABV and each can features alternating artwork that sort of resembles tarot cards. The second offering is an Imperial Pastry Stout called "Neil's French Toast Donut Stout". It was brewed in collaboration with Neil's Donuts (with locations in Wallingford and Middletown) and made with a generous amount of their French Toast donuts. It clocks in at 10% ABV and has a delicious aroma of donuts. I later stopped at Neil's to get some donuts to dunk into the beer! Delicious!! Well done everyone!

The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me.
