We got married here on 11/11 and it was the perfect day. The weather was beautiful, and the staff made the ceremony site and the reception area absolutely gorgeous. We were so lucky to find this place and we're confused why people wouldn't get married here because it has it all! The space is huge, the setting is amazing, and the event coordinator at the venue is super nice and easy to communicate with. Our entire wedding planning process here was seamless! Highly recommend!

Really beautiful golf course with a very friendly staff. MUCH nicer than some of the courses closer to LA with long waitlists and $50K+ to join...and the drive from LA is absolutely beautiful once you get on the 118.

Nice approach shot Brandon. Don't forget to fix your ball marks!

I never thought I'd get to 100 Yelp reviews but thanks to fellow Yelpers Michael S. and Marko M., I have been able to stay motivated to earn an Elite badge. I look forward to the rest of my 2012 Yelp journey and beyond. Thanks guys! For my 100th review, I was fortunate to play Wood Ranch Golf Club because they were hosting a fundraiser for local Simi Valley elementary schools that was open to the public. Other than having an invite from a member, this was going to be a rare opportunity for me and my friends to play this particular private course. A par 72, WRGC is a challenging course that consists of long par 5's, elevated tee boxes, and fast (but fair) greens. Definitely not one of the shortest courses locally but many of the holes requires golfers to think about their shots and not just employ the grip-it-and-rip-it philosophy. Many of the holes have dog-legs so players who can "shape" their shots can post a good score. The course is well maintained especially for the time of the year we played. The staff at WRGC was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We did not see a cart attendant during our entire round, which we though was peculiar, but being that it was the winter/early spring time that could have been the reason why. If you have the extra scratch to become a member at WRGC I would think it would be well worth the investment. If you're not as well off as others, like myself, and you have the opportunity to play here you will not be disappointed. Definitely one of the more challenging but fair courses I have played in Ventura County. My friends and I eagerly look forward to next years fundraiser!

Attended a wedding here which was done very well, the actual wedding was done on the golf course in front beautiful white gazebo. The staff had golf carts for anyone needing assistance getting to and from the wedding from the main club house. After the wedding there was a cocktail reception with a hosted wine and beer bar. In addition to the wine and beer guests could purchase cocktails for cash. I thought this was good as it keeps the heavy drinking to a minimum, those who want a hard drink can buy it. This salad, dinner and desert were all presented on beautiful china dishes. For being such a large wedding I thought they did a good job with food quality. There was a cigar area on the patio which I personally thought was a great little touch for those who enjoy cigars. All in all this was a great location and the service was quite nice given how many people were there 200+

Yup, that's me golfing at Wood Ranch :-) FORE!!! (btw, I did hit it into that lake...)

My hubby and I joined Wood Ranch in, uh, um, I think it was just this past September but we've been welcomed into the Wood Ranch family so it feels like we've been there MUCH longer :-) Why'd we join? We've been wanting to and had talked about it... but the day we went in and met Jennifer Frankel, we knew we had to join right then and there. Jennifer's awesome attitude embodies Wood Ranch. I have to also give a shout out to Glenn - the best Bar Master / Cocktail Chemist we've ever met. All in all, every employee here is stellar and they treat us like family. Wood Ranch was exactly what we expected - our home away from home; a place to make new life-long friends; and a place to go for an all-around great experience! Now where do I begin? The food? Ah, their new chef is incredible! The food is the best in Simi Valley with an ever-changing menu and top-quality ingredients. The drinks? Just ask Glenn and he will make it happen. He made Prosecco magically appear for me! The golf? The golf shop is well-stocked and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The course? GORGEOUS! I won't lie. It's a ball-eater... but it's also extremely well-maintained and gorgeously groomed. And as I've been told on several occasions - if I learn to play on this course, I'll be able to play anywhere! But wait! There's more! Let's get to the meat of my review here - it's the friendships we've made that are indeed priceless. I joined the ladies 'Pitch N'Sip' league and am meeting some of the nicest, most fun women I have ever met. Another shout out to Stephanie, Ingi, Rita, Julia, Mary, Debbie, and the rest of the ladies... Thank you for making me feel welcome and part of your Wood Ranch family :-) Whether it's live music for happy hour, or a 5-star meal overlooking the pristine golf course, or relaxing in the sauna in the Ladies Locker Room, or enjoying a book in the private room inside the Ladies Locker Room, or attending one of their awesome events (wine tasting! comedy night!), Wood Ranch is an incredible place and I highly recommend you join if you have the opportunity. Remember to say 'Hello' to me in the bar - I'm the one sipping Prosecco ;-)

Today I visited Wood Ranch Golf Club for a real estate economic meeting. Our meeting was in a beautiful setting overlooking the golf course. The staff was fried and efficient. The food was excellent! I reluctantly tried the salmon salad wondering how it would taste with a large group. It was cooked perfectly and fresh. The light dressing had a depth of flavor that made me want more. I'll definitely be back here for any events that I plan or attend.

Had the most beautiful amazing day celebrating my daughters wedding! Venue was perfect! Food was incredible! Staff worked hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. the mood we set just right. Everyone had a good time.want to give a special thank you to MY bartender Fabian!!! He noticed I was having a little anxiety right before my speech. He Had some kind and encouraging words that relaxed and helped me get ready for my big moment. Although I don't remember exactly everything I said but I was told it was amazing. Thank you FABIAN!!!!

My husband and i got married at Wood Ranch Golf Club on October 27th 2018! I highly recommend this venue for anyone who is planning a wedding! There were some specific things i was looking for in a venue and Wood Ranch offered everything i was looking for. I wanted an outdoor ceremony but an indoor reception and i was able to have that here! The ceremony site is just a quick walk over from the clubhouse where we had our reception! The ceremony site had a beautiful white gazebo with beautiful flowers all around it. The green grass could be seen from all around. There is also a beautiful lake right behind the gazebo which made it great for taking pictures. The reception area had a huge fireplace inside that was kept on all night which added a romantic feel to our wedding! Cocktail hour was held in the Fourier with an open bar and beautiful decorations. I was able to have everything i wanted at my reception. I am not a fan of cake so i wanted to do a different spin on deserts and i love donuts so they offered a donut wall option and it was a huge hit! The big windows in the reception area looked out over the golf course so my guests had an amazing view. They also let me do a sparkler exit which made me feel like a real life princess! I was so incredibly happy with how everything turned out. I can definitely say i was never a stressed out bride. The food was INCREDIBLE! We did the plated option and offered our guests three different menu items to choose from. The spinach and provolone stuffed chicken breast, the grilled atlantic salmon filet, and the pasta primavera (for all our vegetarian and vegan guests) everything tasted amazing! I would like to thank Nicole from Wood Ranch for being my point of contact throughout my wedding planning! She was an amazing help and answered all of my questions thoroughly. She was a big help day of as well. She helped set up some decorations and was with me behind the scenes through it all! THANK YOU NICOLE! Also huge should out to my sister in law Brittany Labbe! She used to work for Wood Ranch doing wedding planning as well but has since opened up her own wedding planning business! For those of you who need an event planner she is absolutely incredible! You can check her out on Instagram @moderncharmevents where she posts beautiful pictures from the events that she's done. Her website is www.moderncharmsevents.com if you would like to get in contact with her :) If anyone has any questions for me regarding wedding plans i would be happy to give you the names of my vendors! I will post some pictures below of our beautiful day! Thank you so much Wood Ranch Golf Course for giving me the wedding of my dreams!

I've read about all the good things written in magazines about Wood Ranch Golf Course, but once I was there, I was blown away. All the rain over the last month has made the golf course extremely green. The wedding gazebo overlooks the greens... I can't wait to see the professional pictures. It's a beautiful ceremony site. The indoor reception has full panoramic views of the grounds. The staff was more than willing to help. A grounds keeper offered us a ride on his golf cart with all our floral buckets down to the gazebo, it's a bit of a trek with heavy buckets filled with water. I'm not sure how many event coordinators there were, but I talked to at least three different staff members that knew exactly what was going on. I would highly recommend this venue to any brides looking to get married in Simi Valley.

My husband, daughter and I were asked by some dear friends to share in the Mother's Day brunch at this country club, and it was, hands down, the BEST buffet brunch we have ever been to.... and we've been to many in our day. They had one seating, or so it appeared that way, and they had every possible imaginable type of food, hot or cold, breakfast, brunch or lunch, along with a many delectable desserts. Whatever I tasted, it was delicious, and I just wish my stomach had more room for trying more than I did. It was sumptuous and fabulous. The service was excellent too; we wanted for nothing. To top it off, one more thing in honor of Mother's Day, they had a photographer out front taking very nice family photographs..... very nice touch. We had a wonderful celebration of the moms present, myself included, and it was great to share this with such dear friends....... not to mention my daughter and husband.

The night lighting is beautifully romantic without being too dark, in addition to the multiple fountains adding elegance. The availability of two get-ready suites was essential to our queer wedding, and provided ample space for both brides to get ready comfortably with family. We can honestly say that dealing with Soltana was a highlight of our wedding planning process and our big day would not have been as smooth without her. Soltana's deft handling of the 25, or so, members of the wedding party, all while being patient, and with a smile, was more than reassuring to me, and the others as well.
