Chris is great. Knows what he's doing, loves what he does, and charges a fair rate to do the work. When computer issues hit, the timing is never good. In fact, it is usually the worst timing. I brought in my 2009, banged up from falling off a forklift, MacBook Pro to see if it could be operational again when using DJ and audio interfaces without the lagging issues it had. O.M.G. This place wins "Computer Repair of the Year". My six-month-old, brand-new laptop was dead. Dead as a door nail. No power, either by power cord or battery. Online solutions didn't work, and research showed that it was a bad motherboard. Dammit. That won't be cheap. After kicking myself for not buying the warranty, I looked on Yelp for suggestions. I saw this place has five stars, and this guy is open practically all day long, every day. On Sunday afternoon, I stopped by. Chris takes about two minutes to look at my computer, and breaks the news to me: The part will be expensive -- $10. Yes, ten dollars. Plus some very reasonable labor. It wasn't the motherboard, it was the power outlet! He didn't have the part on hand and would have to order it, but I left perfectly satisfied. Was ready five days later. The beauty? He determined that my power cord was the culprit -- and not only lent me one of his to tide me over, he found a cheap one on eBay and sent me the link! (I'm a regular eBayer so thanks to Buy It Now it was the work of a moment). Who else would do that?! So, bestow upon him your business. Shower him with gold, ivory and peacocks. I've been going to Chris for a few years now, and he's done great work on our computers every time. For a flat fee of $40, less any parts, he can fix virtually any computer problem. He's also very knowledgeable about which operating systems work best, as well as recommending better performing system maintenance and anti-virus software. About a year ago, I had something weird happen with my PC and couldn't get the operating system to work, and paid the price dearly when I didn't go to Chris as I thought having someone who was willing to come to the house would have been a faster solution. Being in the IT sales industry, I was able to source the product myself but did not feel qualified to break open the laptop and attempt to replace the LCD screen myself, even though I had several people tell me I could do it on my own. My computer had a particularly nasty virus that prevented me from running any antivirus software and that caused my computer to crash randomly.
