They prices were so much more reasonable then the "other guy" we had been going to. And they did not try to "sell" me everything under the Sun like the "other place". I will never use Woodington again for several reasons...They know my dog is deceased since they sent me to Oncology at West Vet and i advised them she had to be put down,. They never once called to offer condolences or send a card which every other vet in the past has done. In addition I have rec'd several e mails reminding me that my dog is due for her check up. I have told them numerous times to quit sending me reminders of my dog needing a check up that she is deceased. What is wrong with them! I don't need the reminder and it makes me upset and crying every time. I found out they are now corporate owned so there is that....Find a more compassionate place to take your loved ones. My dogs and cats are and have been very comfortable with the calm, caring staff; and I am very pleased with the Vets' knowledge and care. Fast forward a year and we are still seeing Dr Woodington and staff for all our vet needs. Coincidentally we came back to town later last summer to stay (not just because this is an awesome vet) but we fell in love with the charm of old town Eagle. We are so happy that when they decided to update the office recently, they did not move locations!!!! It is now much easier to find their office front door now, right next to Idaho Credit Union. Over the course of the last year, he has successfully treated my lab mix's allergies. We go in every 4-8 weeks for an allergy shot. It has been a relief to see our pup flourish and his ear issues flare up less frequently. I've been impressed that the staff and Dr Woodingtion's awesome service, advice, and prices have remained consistent. They have made it a no brainer that this is our first choice for vet care. I know that I'll receive honest advice and no pressure to purchase things that are not needed. I so appreciate that my dollars are well spent here. It made it just that much easier to adopt a new dog this summer knowing that our vet care is affordable and superb. Great move that he has partner vets here so all of his patients can get appointments. Dr Witt has also seen our pups and has been great! I just wish they would extend their hours and/or offer regular Saturday hours. read more

I've taken my dogs to Woodington for almost 5 years, the doctors are great and sympathetic. Today the receptionist was condescending and short yes I was 12 minutes late because of all the construction on eagle and State Street. I called and said I was stuck in traffic they said I had 10 minuets past my appointment I got there 12 minuets after my appointment for two dogs. There was 1 car in the parking lot and no one in the office but they said I had to reschedule in a rude way, ok it's my fault I was stuck in traffic for 15 minuets but they could have been kind about it especially since I called. Rude receptionists are such a bad reflection on any business. read more

Wow, my pets forever doctors. Finding a new vet is hard when you move into a new state but I landed on a "gem" in "Treasure Valley "! We have two dogs and have seen Dr. Woodington and Dr. Witt. Both seem to love their jobs but more then that they loved my dogs! I felt right at home our first meeting and so did my fur babies. Yesterday my oldest dog had surgery and what an amazing job they did. During the time of Corona Virus and practicing all the essential guidelines they did everything right. They checked with us today to see how she was doing and took the time to clarify everything with me again! I recommend this vet and am happy we found them. read more

Moved from McCall to the Valley 3 years ago. Woodington vet was recommended to me. I can't believe how stressful this whole ordeal has been for my pup & my family. My pup had a mass removed from his torso. I had asked if it was doable to clean his teeth while he was under anesthesia. The answer was yes. The day before, his surgery I received & reviewed the paperwork online and signed off. Included in paperwork I signed off saying if teeth needed extracted to contact me previously to pulling. Yes, being under sedation time is of the essence. I knew this, so I kept the phone with me (I've worked in medical field 30+yrs.). We arrived at Woodington at 7:15 a.m. Front desk ladies asked about paperwork and said I sent it in the day before all good. When tech came to get my pup, she asked if I would sign paper. Told her already did. She replied, "No big deal,"just sign. " I again stressed I wanted to be notified if teeth needed extracted. I signed. 14 /FOURTEEN teeth were extracted! Two things I need to make people aware of 1. Woodington vet does not have Xray equipment to view the mouth previous or after extractions. I was lead to believe they did. 2. You would think the vet would of followed up with me concerning my pups mass or extractions. You would think I would of received paperwork "nothning". There is alot more to this ordeal. Everyday I question myself & what the @#@#$@ happened. Dr. Woodington said they had a new system and there was a glitch. So my pup & I are paying for the lack of communication within there staff. I do plan after my pup recoups taken him in for dental xrays. Fragments/roots still remaining concern me and who knows what else. Dr. Woodington said he would address that if issues came up. I am not a new comer to dogs and teeth issues. Teeth can be saved. As I said there's WAY more to the story. Hard lesson learned. Anything besides maybe booster go somewhere else, please. After doing a little bit of research and getting recommendations from neighbors and friends, we made an appointment for our cat's annual checkup and vaccinations with Woodington Veterinary. Are we so glad we did! Upon arrival, we were greeted by very friendly staff and taken immediately to an exam room. Our very shy cat was given lots of time to get comfortable and do a bit of exploring. We did not feel rushed at all to fill out the new patient paperwork. When Dr. Woodington came in the room, we were immediately impressed with his friendly and professional manner. He examined our scared cat with a kind and gentle touch, talked to us like he really cared, not at all rushed, did not try to upsell anything, gave us some great advice, made us feel like we are new members of the family. Check out was a breeze and prices are so reasonable, not like you feel gouged as you walk back to your car. I cannot recommend this veterinary practice highly enough. I know our cat and any future pets we might adopt are in good hands. read more

We brought our Lady in here for the first time this morning and saw Dr. Witt. We moved in to the area a little over a year ago, and hadn't yet found a vet that we were happy with. The last place we tried was pretty traumatic for all of us, as Lady was forcefully flipped on to her side to check out her leg, and she slipped on the floors several times. Our experience at Woodington could not have been more different! We loved that the floors were non-slip (so good for our big 11.5 year old girl with a sore leg), and that the exam room was so large. Lady got about ten minutes with just her people in the exam room to sniff around and get comfy before Dr. Witt came in and started the exam. This was so helpful as it allowed her to relax and get some nervous energy out. Dr. Witt was great with Lady and gentle in the exam. Lady didn't have to do anything she didn't want to. I also loved that Dr. Witt was very accommodating to my natural approach to things and didn't try to push any meds on us. I hope that Lady stays healthy enough to not need to come back for a long time, but at least now I know that we have found our local vet!! read more

Awful vet tech there. Sarcastic, condescending, & lazy. She didn't want to trim our dog's nails because dog "wouldn't let her". Our dog was on trazodone & had stitches removed from his eyes somewhere else & did perfectly fine. That said, this vet has not checked up on our dog since his EMERGENCY eye surgery that we had to do somewhere else. No professionalism here. read more

Dr. Woodington is the best veterinarian I have found in my many years of pet ownership! I was new to the area and had a kitty with some intestinal problems. After reading reviews, we made an appointment. The office staff was very welcoming and attentive. Dr. Woodington examined Miss Kitty and found her overall health to be good. Instead of ordering expensive tests, he recommended offering her wet food and encouraging her to drink more by way of a cat fountain. Sure enough, within a week her symptoms were resolved. Most importantly, Miss Kitty being a great judge of character loved Dr. Woodington, he had a hard time hearing her heartbeat as she was purring so loudly! read more

I am a breeder of champion pedigreed, Bichon Frise dogs. We also have a BIG German Shepherd. We take all our animals to Woodington Veterinary. Over the years, we've been to several vets (Eagle Animal Clinic, Animals r Us, All Pet Complex, etc.) So, we have a pretty good perspective on clinics. Matt and his staff are superb. They are thorough--but won't put your pet through unnecessary and costly tests or procedures, if not absolutely needed. Plus, they are affordable. That's really nice. A couple years ago, I started having Matt x-ray our females before they were about to whelp. BEST $50 I'VE EVER SPENT! Now, going into a delivery, I know what to expect! All this aside, the best part about Woodington is Matt and his staff. They are all animal lovers and they have you and your pet's best interest at-heart. This was a great experience. We are new to the area and have an old boy cat(almost 19). He has some thyroid issues and needed blood work. Dr. Witt and her assistant, Michelle were so calm, caring, and professional that I was totally impressed. They spent lots of time with him and us and explained all they were doing. Also, the blood work was done in house and saved us the time and worry waiting the results. I would highly recommend this veterinary to all. Woodington Vet. is amazing! We only take our dog to Dr. Woodington and nowhere else. While others are quick to wisk our 100 lb. dog to x-ray, Dr. Woodington first tries reasonably priced medications first in order to help us save money. There's no forceful toe-nail clippings or ear cleanings like at other practices in the area, and there's always plenty of treats for my gluttonous dog. Because it is such a small practice that it can be difficult to get an appointment during a time of emergency. It's usually only a couple of days, but I worry a lot and like my dog to have same-day service. Most of the time they do have some slots available the day you call, though! I live up by Capital High, and drive all the way to downtown Eagle just to take my pets to Dr. Woodington. read more
