What a hidden gem is place is, truly one of the best ramen spot in South Florida. I make the journey from Coconut Grove to Hallandale just to indulge myself. Is a small restaurant; not many tables, however they do have some outdoor ones in case you wanna bring the pups. The service is always good, the food comes out very quickly. Dined here recently this past weekend, arrived around 6pm and we were the only diners so we had a ton of tables to choose from. The space is so cute and there are even some tables outside. For apps we went with the shrimp shumai & the fried squid which were both delicious. The squid was perfectly fried, and not overly greasy nor chewy. For our mains, we really wanted ramen. You are able to choose the broth, protein and toppings. I went with the tonkotsu broth with pork and all the toppings. I really enjoyed mine & thought it was really flavorful. My boyfriend got the spicy miso with pork. He liked his as well but didn't care for the cured egg. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. Overall, a really great experience. Tried Wood One Ramen in Hallandale Beach. The soup dumplings, while house-made, were the tiny dim sum style and just okay. Chicken ramen had decent broth but the breast meat was dry. Gyudon beef was good, but the rice was dried out and sides (dumplings, spring roll) were clearly frozen. Oddly salty broccoli, too. Hand's down, the best bubble tea in the area within a 20 mile radius! But their food is another story. Lacking in flavor and taste, there was so much to be desired. Great Ramen Spot! My husband and brother absolutely LOVE a good bowl of ramen but it's been really hard to find great ramen in Florida. Not many places have ramen on their menu and the ones that do the ramen is simply ok, nothing special... When WoodOne Ramen opened up we were so excited to try it because we had heard so many good things about their ramen and let me tell you - this place has GREAT RAMEN! We were so impressed! My absolute favorite dish is the Tonkotsu Ramen the noodles are delicious and the broth is so full of flavor. This is hands down one of the BEST RAMEN I've had in my life (not just for Florida) and that's a huge compliment! My husband and brother tried the Chicken Paitan Ramen and the Japanese Curry Ramen to try something different and both really enjoyed it. They have other dishes on the menu besides the ramen but the ramen is definitely the best dish on their menu. We usually order the edamame and the Japanese Karaage Chicken as an appetizer and although the fried chicken is good it's not the best Japanese Jaraage we have had (sometimes it's a little on the greasy side) - which is fine we mainly come here only for the ramen. They also have a nice variety of sakes and milk teas on the menu that go really nice with the bowls of ramen as well - if you are a sake fan I highly recommend checking their drink menu. The restaurant itself is small and cozy and has a really quiet calming energy to it. I love watching the sun set through the large windows as we eat dinner it really adds to the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. We came here for lunch, 11:30 am they just opened. The parking in the center is difficult, we had to park in the adjacent lot. I was hoping for a lighter lunch menu unfortunately they have the same menu as dinner. The food was great as always. The spicy miso with pork is delicious, medium spicy. The seafood udon was a smaller bowl, and probably a better choice for a light meal. I highly recommend one of the best ramen soups around. read more

And a couple of chicken katsu dishes. Ramen was ok. Noodles were a little harder than desired. But the broth flavor was very creamy. Had a unique flavor. Extras in the ramen were great. Chicken katsu was juicy and crisp. Boba tea is served here under the name Boba Farm. That was ok as well. Service was ok. Our server met our needs in a satisfactory fashion. Area of improvement could be attitude of welcomeness, more enthusiasm, and attentiveness. The employees didn't seem that excited to be there or to be around people. They did serve us though. I frequently come here with my partner as we both love the aesthetic and the food. It is a rather tiny restaurant so be prepared that during busy times you may have to wait. They do offer the option to order your boba or other items outside on a tablet which is convenient for crowd control. The servers are always really quick to seat us and take our order. Showing the upmost patience to newcomers who might not know what to get. The boba is always the first to come out, but as far as the wait for food it is never long. I've been a regular customer of this business since its early days and used to visit quite frequently each month. However, during my recent visits, I've noticed a significant reduction in the amount of protein added to the ramen, as well as in the broth. I've confirmed this over my last few visits and have mentioned it to the servers. I believe that, given the price of each ramen, they shouldn't have reduced the portion of protein and broth. Best ramen I've found in Florida so far. They are just far from me so I can't visit often :/ I've tried the creamy veggie ramen and it's a good option for vegans. But I always stick to seaweed salad, spicy miso ramen (I make mine spicer) and sakura rose bubble tea with tapioca and peach popping boba. They are consistently amazing in flavor. We ordered delivery via doorDash for WoodOne Ramen on Saturday because we didn't feel like leaving the house and to order off of their website was an additional $10 extra in fees. The order came quickly but it was cold. The size of the soup/carry out containers was very small compared to other Ramen places we've ordered from before. I got the chicken paitan ramen and I immediately felt sick after eating. I only ate half of it because the chicken tasted poorly - I took it out of the soup. The corn in the soup was canned corn and the noodles were so thick and overcooked. My husband got the Tonkotsu ramen and felt weird afterwards as well but he ate his whole portion and enjoyed the flavors. We also ordered a $7.50 side of Edamame which was FOUL - overcooked and smelly. The quality was poor for such an expensive dinner. read more

WoodOne Ramen is a good spot for all your Japanese favorites in the Hallandale Beach area. I came here with some girlfriends to grab dinner before going to Carousel Club (which is a hop and skip away from here) and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. This restaurant itself is very small but has a good amount of seats inside and out. We lucked out and there weren't many people dining when we arrived but it started to get quite busy soon after we sat down. Their menu has items like ramen, rice dishes, karaage, and boba. After perusing the menu, we ordered the takoyaki, ika geso karaage (deep fried squid tentacles), tonkotsu ramen, and two gyudons (Japanese beef bowl with kimchi and egg). The appetizers were good but my favorite was the fried squid! I heard all their fried appetizers were delicious here so I might try the shrimp tempura next time. I got the gyudon and it was everything I've been searching for! I've had gyudon at a few other spots in South Florida and none of them have been as good as the one here. Plus, the presentation is so cute coming in a little box that gave me the urge to take it home and pack a picnic lunch in it. My friend got the tonkotsu ramen and it smelled really good. I usually order wood one ramen on Uber eats but decided come into the restaurant. It was a small restaurant, pretty causal. Nice enough to grab a bite alone or maybe a laid back date night with a significant other. The service was quick and the waiter answered my questions about the menu. The menu is not huge nor fancy. But I personally find that most ramen places, the simpler the better. And that was the case here. You select your base, meats, and choice of veggies or extras in your bowl.
