My take out order. Perfectly packed & always amazing! The best sushi! House salad, sashimi appetizer, Naruto tuna roll, & Mango Maguro Roll.

Another amazing sushi dinner! One thing I love is they always change up their menu and add something new and creative. This fantasy role was something that was absolutely delicious and creative. It was a sushi roll that looked like little mini sandwiches. It not only tasted amazing, but the rolls melted in your mouth. Cilantro never disappoints with their NEXT LEVEL sushi and their amazing Customer Service.

Really impressed with the quality of the sushi here! The rolls were fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can tell they use good ingredients -- everything tasted clean and balanced. Favorites were the spicy tuna and the flame-seared pieces -- definitely recommend trying those. The service was friendly and fairly quick, and the ambiance was relaxed and clean. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price. Still, overall a solid spot for sushi in Hallandale. Will be back!

Excelent service and great food. I have come here a few times when I am in Florida and the food and service is always good.

Will start off by saying I don't really ever leave reviews, but I think it's necessary in some cases. I've been coming to this location for over 15 years. It's changed a lot over this time frame as any place would. But recently it's been so dramatic of a change it's actually insane. DO NOT PLACE A TAKE OUT SUSHI ORDER!!!!!! You will get half the food FOR THE SAME PRICE . This roll is allegedly the black dragon roll that costs $24.15 .... HOW IS THIS WORTH THAT PRICE. Maybe I expect too much but this is actually abysmal and I'm so sad to see this place go down hill like this.

Paid $100 for my meal and they had the audacity to try and charge me $2 each for these tiny cups of sauce. Absolute rip off, never coming back here again.

I was taken to lunch here as a belated birthday gift. Parking in the lot out front was at a premium as there are half a dozen other restaurants nearby. My friend had to park down by Winn Dixie and walk over. They have very reasonable lunch specials and we both chose to have one of them. The specials come with miso soup and a spring roll. We upgraded to a house salad instead of the soup. The salad had a choice of peanut or ginger dressing. The dressing was quite good -- served on the side. The fried veggie spring roll came with a sweet dipping sauce (honey based?). I got their shrimp with cashew nut sauce as our main entree. She got the chicken with the same sauce. There was jasmine rice on the plate. The meal had veggies (I got no onions; she got no peppers) like lotus root (not usually seen), carrots, and scallions. And a number of whole cashew nuts, as well. It was good. As it was a "celebration, we splurged and got the white Russian cake to share. This was decadent with whipped cream and a white chocolate mousse and chocolate cake in a layered dessert. Service was excellent throughout our meal. And we were not rushed --enabling us to chat a bit and catch up. It was fun to try somewhere new.

In Hallandale Beach the four of us stopped by Cilantro for a Sushi dinner. This looks to be a bit of an upscale restaurant. There's a sitting area right at the front of the establishment. We probably should have sat outside as it was a bit cold inside. It's not a bad idea to have a light jacket with you when dining inside. We sat at the bar. I first got their Lychee Martini, ohh it was excellent, lightly sweet and so indulgent! We decided to get the sushi boat. It's essentially like a buffet, that's right in front of you. No need to wait between orders. This was very fresh sushi, with not a lot of rice. There was sashimi, sushi, with all kinds of fish. This massive boat was the perfect size for the four of us. We even had strangers ask if they could take a picture of our boat. We also got Miso soup, it was included with the purchase of the boat. The soup was very comforting with how cold it was inside. I would totally come here again when in the area.

I was craving sushi while in Hallandale beach, so based on the positive reviews I stopped by at Cilantro. First impression was ok. The food came out quickly but I was disappointed at the rolls because the tasty and smell were way too fishy, and didn't taste fresh at all. Second it's a bit pricey for the small portions you get especially if you order soups. The servers were friendly thought. We stopped by around 2pm and the place was empty. Honestly, I don't recommend this place if you want to try "fresh" sushi.

Came in for the first time to this location on a chilly Saturday night for dinner. We were in the area and I remembered how much I liked the Davie location so I decided to also check them out. The restaurant is more open concept and has a lot of space for big groups. I didn't have to wait when we came in. We were greeted and quickly taken to our table. Our server was attentive and gave us recommendations. For cocktails I had a lychee martini which was perfectly done. For starters we had the baby octopus which was spicy tender and fresh. We also had the fried ribs , I love the fried crispy garlic chips on top and the ribs where so flavorful. For main we had the pineapple seafood fried rice which was very tasty and perfect to share. We also the the Cilantro signature seafood combo which was mix seafood with broccoli veggies stir fried and a side of white rice. It was so tasty as well and enough to share as well. Overall I enjoyed everything we had and a most try if you are on the area.

I got the fried chicken and the Ceasar salad.. both tasted great .. esp the chicken. It was served on top of a sweet glaze... really delicious. I tried a friend's hamache and it was also delicious. Service was great.. very fast and responsive. Our server had great suggestions as well. We ate outside on the 2nd level terrace that overlooked the ocean. Very nice view. I definitely recommend.

The girl at the bar was so rude it honestly felt like she didn't want to serve us -- or even have us there at all. We waited about an hour for a table, only to find out that the "welcoming" host somehow couldn't find my phone number... even though I literally saw it on her screen. Impressive. It seems our table was generously given to someone else instead of, you know, actually calling us. We arrived at 7:00 PM, got seated at 8:15, and our food showed up around 9:00 PM -- so if you enjoy long-term commitments, you'll love their service speed. Both the service and kitchen move at a very... relaxed pace. Pro tip: come here full, maybe have a drink, enjoy the scenery, and leave. That's about all this place can reliably deliver.

Miami sushi will never be New York, San Francisco, or Japan, let's be real, but this is easily top three sushi in all of Miami for me. The key is non-negotiable, sit at the bar and do the omakase experience. They offer omakase at $50, $70 and $90-ish dollars, which is kind of wild when you consider the quality, the pacing, and how much food you're actually getting. Every piece is thoughtful, beautifully composed, and genuinely exciting to eat. Yes, a few bites lean a little saucy, that's my only critique, but the quality of the fish itself is insane, clean, fresh, and handled with real respect. I believe some of the owners are Peruvian, and you can feel that influence in the flavors and the way the dishes are presented. It adds personality without overpowering the fish, which is exactly how it should be. The experience overall is a straight 10 out of 10. If you keep kosher or avoid shellfish, this place deserves extra love because they offer kosher-style selections that don't feel like an afterthought, which is huge and honestly rare. That alone makes it a standout. One tip I'll give you, and this is important, sit at the bar and do the omakase. I can't really vouch for the rest of the menu, though I'm assuming it's solid, but the bar experience is where the magic happens. Right now, nothing compares to omakase here at this price point. Blind Tiger is special, and I'm saying that knowing full well I might regret exposing it.

Started with what I would consider sushi appetizers before the nigiri. I felt they were relying more on sauces in those dishes- but still solid. My favorite was the "tower" that had a cucumber base, nice chunks of avocado, topped with raw fish. There was a nice Unami flavor with truffle. Truly amazing. The nigiri was fresh- with some fish being preferred over others. Also, they had soy sauce on side so you could add the amount you want. Overall all the nigiri was good except for the shrimp Was my least favorite out of them all. However, I enjoyed each nigiri and trying fish I don't usually get. The last Sushi item was a hand roll. They then served miso soup which I thought was out of place in terms of order. Maybe should have been served first. The dessert in my opinion wasn't good and seemed store bought. In their defense, I am not much of a sweet person. I would have much rather had another sushi dish. However, one thing to note is that with the dessert - they did not give all parties the same type of treats. Therefore, we were a little disappointed when we didn't get the fruit tart and the chocolate macaroon. For drink I got a Japanese vodka drink (can't remember the name) that had a hint of wasabi. Wasn't spicy but you could taste it. The passion fruit mojito was so much better though and actually was part of the main restaurant. Servers were nice! Ambiance was really peaceful and cozy vibe. Sat at the counter thinking we would be able to watch the sushi chefs but instead just saw their heads. Would have been nice otherwise.
