As to the sushi quality, this place is great. The rolls were delicious. However, I cannot leave this place a 5 star review and I'm leaving a 4 star because: 1) this place is primarily geared towards takeout. It is not located in a nice plaza. The place is kinda cramped inside. All these things would be fine if the restaurant was not charging for their sushi the same price as nice sit down restaurants in Aventura area. This restaurant is not in the same category, hence I believe the prices should be lower. 2) the food took long to come out. The restaurant only had one other person inside and not that many to-go orders. All that being said, I still enjoyed the food a lot. I would recommend this place if you were getting takeout

The beautiful mural on the wall that was hand painted

Amazing place! The sushi tastes amazing, they have an incredibly large menu and everything is made fresh!!!! The desserts melt in your mouth and they even have ramune along with a lot more other drinks. The owner is so kind and the establishment looks amazing, the interior decor is beautiful. The service is amazing aswell!!!

The total experience is excellent. On entering, this small restaurant is clean, and nicely decorated. The service, well above par, is refreshing. Most importantly, the food is amazing. If you are in the area, and you enjoy sushi, do not overlook this restaurant.

Baked Melt so good and unique!

Wow so fresh and so good! I was very surprised. Spicy Tuna was really good too. Staff is very kind.

It was a really good lunch Highly recommend. The fish is fresh and the service is outstanding.

Wow wow wow Sushi rolls that are different than your ordinary sushi rolls. They are out of this world. The service is outstanding. I will be back

Small restaurant that seems to be trying their best - quality of fish is not fantastic and portion of fish is small compared to rest of roll. Expensive for what it is - will not volunteer to come back but would not avoid. Very clean, very nice plates and chopsticks.

Hubby and I stopped in and it is SO cute and cozy!! I LOVE the atmosphere, the hand painted wall, and the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. Everything was fresh and delicious. The owner (can't recall her name) came and made sure we were satisfied and then just talked w/ us. Sushi is my favorite food and I think she did an amazing job and I would highly recommend!!!

Mellow exotic (i think it was called) drink

OMG! My friend who lives in Hollywood brought me to this place and literally as soon as you walk in you can feel the love. Its such a cute space and the staff was so friendly, sweet and knowledgeable. My friend and I ordered the On Fire roll and a Baked Melt roll and it was like my taste buds were backflipping. Seriously SO good. We also ordered a Mellow Exotic drink and it was such a fun beautiful tasting drink. Never had anything like it. Im usually too lazy to leave reviews but it was so good I had to show some love! Please check this place out you wont regret it!

    Beautiful details

Not sure why there aren't more reviews on this place. This is by far the cutest little sushi spot in Aventura - all of South FL, even. If you enjoy curated dining experiences and attention to detail, this is the place for you. Our waitress, Sati, was so kind from the start, and she took the time to explain the items on the menu and what makes them special. As an interior designer, I also appreciate the effort in making this small little restaurant feel cozy and ambient. This place is really a hidden gem. I will be coming back and bringing friends and family for years to come! By far my new go-to sushi spot.

Very warm, serene vibe with neutral tones. Definitely the kind of place you'd come to unwind and just enjoy good sushi without any chaos. Parking: Street parking is available, but it is paid, so keep that in mind before pulling up. The servers were very helpful and kind overall. My only complaint is that food came out a bit slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy at the time. Like serve me all my orders all at once pleaseeeeee so I can indulge lol What I Had: _________________ Sashimi Assortment - 10/10 Freaking delicious. Light, decadent, and incredibly fresh. Each piece tasted clean and high-quality, the kind of sashimi that melts the second it hits your mouth. They did their thing! Kanpachi Sashimi - 10/10 So good. Soft, delicate, and perfectly fresh. Every bite was balanced and flavorful without being heavy at all. Nigiri - White Fish Tasting - 11/10 Hands down my favorite part of my experience. I ordered multiple rounds (they come two per order), including branzino and snapper. The branzino was unreal. I wanted only branzino... that is how marvelous it was. Topped with this umami crunch that added so much texture and flavor. It was literally mouthwatering, like a burst of flavor in every bite. I honestly could've kept ordering this all night. Nigiri - Bluefin Tuna Tasting - 5/10 This one just wasn't for me. It wasn't fishy, but the texture was very slimy and didn't sit well in my mouth. It didn't swallow smoothly and just wasn't appetizing to me personally. Definitely a pass. Blue Crab Hand Roll - 6.5/10 I know this is a fan favorite, but it was just okay for me. Not bad at all, just didn't wow me compared to everything else I had. For $6, it's fine, but I wouldn't rush to reorder it. Customer Service: 8.5/10 Friendly and helpful, just slightly slow. Overall Experience: 9/10 Will I Be Back? Yes, absolutely. This establishment has been TAMIED™

Parking is mostly limited street parking though, so plan ahead. This spot is more about curated tastings, sashimi, nigiri, and handrolls rather than specialty rolls, so don't expect a huge roll menu. We ordered the sashimi assortment, white fish tasting, seared salmon, bluefin tuna tasting, unagi foie gras, and a few handrolls including blue crab and negi toro. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful, especially the bluefin and unagi foie gras. Portions are on the lighter side though, so we left satisfied but not totally full. Cedrick was awesome and really made the experience better. He knew the menu inside and out and explained everything perfectly. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Wynwood and want quality sushi without the overly trendy vibe.

We got there a bit before our reservation time, and they let us sit in the smaller dining area as we waited for our spots to open up. You can access the mall area from the left of the hotel lobby. What impressed me most was the presentation of all the dishes. They really took great care to make everything look beautiful. All the plates and dishes were just so stunning. The other thing that really stood out was the service. They were so friendly and helpful. I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Bec But, because of the excellent service, the atmosphere and the beautiful way they served the food, I decided to leave them a five star review. Those dishes weren't bad they just weren't what I expected. We don't live in the area so if we were to stay in this hotel again, we would definitely dine here again. We normally check the Michelin Guide first but there's none for Miami so we decided to browse through Tock for fun. This was how we stumbled upon Sushi Bar and we are so glad we did! The price point of $185 per seating is super worth it. You get a lot of fish and they are very creative with each nigiri. Their spin on it shows their creative side (with Miami flavors) but is not super over the top and sauce does not drown out the freshness of the fish. Something that stood out to me was how they shaved frozen monkfish liver as a topping. I wanna go back just for that!! They also had some pieces where they smoked the fish. Besides the food, I thought it was very creative how they welcomed guests with a welcome drink at the hotel bar. This was so unique! We finished ours early, and had some of their other drinks - they were all very good! Once they're ready, a server came to get us from the hotel bar and led us through an alleyway to a separate building which was where the actual omakase was taking place. The atmosphere was dark and gave off speakeasy vibes, which I thought was different to other omakase places. Bar is spacious enough to still have private conversations. We did the beverage pairing and we really appreciated the sommelier's knowledge. Overall, we would want to come back again for another tasting experience!!
