I usually don't do reviews but I was so disappointed by the food I received yesterday. I received my order via Uber at around 12:20pm. I ordered the beef teriyaki and fried rice. The fried rice was white rice with soy sauce and that's all! You could still see patches of white rice that weren't blended it was also hard like it had been reheated. We ordered from Uber Eats and the food was questionable. We dumped most of it in the trash. Never again.

Usually it's hard to locate a parking space, but I was lucky to find a few open spots today. I stopped by Hong Shin to get something to eat for lunch. There are 21 lunch specials that includes your choice of fried or white rice, and wonton or egg drop soup. No free can of soda with the food. I ordered shrimp with broccoli, with fried rice and wonton soup. When my food was ready, I sat at the table and started to partake in the meal...starting with the wonton soup, which visually was a bit disappointing. It was a small container with only 2 wontons (which was nice in texture) and liquid. Oh, come on! Really, that's it?! No strips of pork or vegetables. I started searching inside the bag, looking for the fried wonton wrappers that resembles crispy noodles...nothing. When I have wonton soup, I like to dump the noodles into the liquid then eat everything altogether. I pushed the plain liquid aside and moved on to the shrimp with crunchy broccoli & carrots in a savory sauce. the fried rice was nicely cooked as well. Wasn't greasy or salty. Would've given this review 4 stars, but I'm taking off a star for the plain wonton soup. Next time I'll ask for the noodles if I have the soup at Hong Shin again. read more

Portions are good sized and they change the recipe as needed, no problem (no shrimp, extra spicy, etc) Ask about the extras when you spend more than $25 0r above - always a nice surprize, but good to know what you're getting! The shrimp lo mein was very tasty with large shrimp. I wasn't too fond of the egg roll or the wontons in the wonton soup but the broth was good. I true to call in a delivery order. I was placed on hold while I listened to her taking two other orders. Then they hung up on me and said they didn't know anyone was on the line. After the second time calling I waited on hold, hearing everything in the background. I remained on hold while listening to the woman start taking orders from counter. This whole endeavor lasted 20 minutes in total and still not getting to order my food. After all that I couldn't wait anymore and hung up.
