Im guessing thats intentional.. when I went in the interior was minimal in design but nice. I really liked it.. it seemed homey and inviting. I got the beef bullgogi bibimbap and the server recommended that I get it in the stone pot as it will keep it hotter and make the rice on the bottom crispy. Glad i listened. It was delicious! I was craving tofu soup so we decided to stop by since it's been a while. The restaurant has expanded with a new indoor seating area , definitely a plus, especially with Florida's heat and humidity... Service was good and friendly. We ordered the kimchi tofu soup, Korean fried chicken, zucchini pancakes, and Korean cold noodles. Unfortunately, the tofu soup (the main reason I came), was quite disappointing. It tasted very bland, more like flavored water with a few tofu cubes, bits of kimchi, and some pork. It really lacked that deep, rich flavor you would expect from traditional Korean tofu soup. A true hole in the wall and hidden gem. Hands down one of my favorite spots for korean food. This place is a small, cozy spot that may feel a bit crammed during busy hours, but well worth it. I order the same thing every time (spicy pork over rice) and it never disappoints. It's so flavorful and the serving size is enough for two meals. Service is good. They came in to check on how we're doing multiple times. Don't expect a luxury experience, it's definitely more of a mom and pop type of vibe. Food was flavorful, though I would be hard pressed to bring other people back here. Going to be a takeout only place for me going forward. We sat outside on a rainy day because the AC was absolutely frigid indoors, but the patio (while dry and seats up to 4 groups) leaves a lot to be desired. Service was understandably slow - they have only two staff members running inside and out doing everything. Waters went unfilled. No napkins until you go inside to take some from other tables because once you receive your food, they will not be coming back to check on you. Couldn't flag down anyone to get a box or our check, so I ended up bothering their takeout window to ask. For a Korean restaurant serving largely traditional dishes, the one thing I've come to expect and look forward to is the banchan - and banchan there are not. With your entree, they bring out a small dish of chopped kimchi, but no option to even order any cucumber, sprouts, spinach, eggplant, that I've been searching for in Miami. I had assumed, with most entrees being $25-35 (and don't get me started on $20 pancakes), that the banchan was factored in. Won't be making that assumption again. I ordered the sundubu - my fave Korean comfort dish. I loved that it came with a side of rice and an egg to crack into my stew. Again, super flavorful, great amount of soft tofu, and hit most of the cravings I had when I walked in. I asked for it extra spicy, and I could see the chili oil they added for me. If I had room for dessert, I would've gotten the bingsu, because you don't see that often in Miami. But the search continues for a Korean restaurant as good as the one that closed in Doral, with a variety of lil veggie dishes to round out my meal! read more

The crunchy sweet outside perfectly balanced with the cheesy inside. We also had the blood sausage which surpassed anything I expected. Rather than have a traditional blood sausage with rice, this one seemed to be filled with a type of noodle. The real star for us was the bibimbap. Wow. Upgrade the stone. That's all I'm going to say. We picked the spicy pork and as that rice and veggies continued to sizzle and crisp within the stone, we knew this was going to be... fire. It was truly the texture for me. As the rice stayed in the stone for longer, it got some crispy bits. We also ordered the classic bulgolgi which was greatly portioned and flavorful. I can't recommend this restaurant. I had my hopes up for the only Korean restaurant in North Miami Beach until I actually went and ate there. At first glance, it appears to be somewhat authentic, but the menu was so small. I could barely even read it with my glasses. No authentic Korean restaurant would allow you to order $28 main dishes and not give you any Banchan or the little small plates of sample appetizers that are standard in any Korean restaurant. I ordered the bibimbop with chicken and a sunny side up egg with the hot stone bowl. The stone bowl was not hot enough to cook the egg so that was another failure. Usually the rice will crisp because the bowl is so hot on the bottom. In this case there was no crisping or sizzling The Bulgoggi was just OK probably was not marinated enough not the best I've had or even average. Incredibly enough, they served a thimble full of gochan sauce. Barely a teaspoon. It was in a little to go container with a top on it. They did serve a side of kimchi. The dish was so shallow and small. You could barely get a taste for it and certainly not enough as a side dish to mix or Company the Bulgogi or bibimbop. The pricing was out of line as well at $28 for a Bugatti with a very small portion of rice. One order of dumplings, one bulgoggi and o e chicken bibimbop was $60.38 tip included at 18%. Unfortunately, I will be taking the ride to Fort Lauderdale to a real Korean restaurant like Gabose which is better priced, more authentic doesn't nickel and dime you on sauce and actually offers real Korean dishes along with Korean barbecue. This was my second time coming to Korean Kitchen, and definitely will not be the last. I love Korean food and make it a lot at home, but theres certain dishes that are just difficult to make at home without the proper dishware or ingredients. Korean Kitchen is my choice in Miami to get my fill of these dishes. The first time I ordered a dolsot bibimbap which was DELICIOUS (also the crunchy rice at the bottom is the best), and on the second time I brought my grandparents. We all ordered various dishes: I ordered bibim-naengmyeon (which were delicious) while my grandfather ordered kimchi udon and my grandmother ordered japchae. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. For an appetizer we had sundae, which is honestly one of the best sundaes I've had (and I've eaten multiple on the West Coast). Finally made it to Korean kitchen ! Very tiny spot, with limited indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the spicy soft tofu soup and beef bibimbap. Both were tasty and came with rice as a side dish. The soup was tasty, but says it's made with pork and shrimp, though it does not bring any for you to eat (I'm guessing just the broth takes in those ingredients). I was ok with it since I prefer to eat the tofu vs actual meat, but others might feel cheated if they read the description to find out there's no pork/shrimp in there. Came here for lunch with a few of my friends, and the outdoor seating was very cute, the indoor seating is a little bland, but has a very authentic vibe. They have a lot of genuine Korean drinks and Sodas all along one of the counters, so you can see what they are from the menu. We tried a pear juice which was super sweet and yummy, and I also really enjoyed their iced coffee. The dishes were good, the bibimbap was cook very well, the inside of the rice was crispy at the bottom, and the toppings were all delicious. The steak is cooked well, and it balanced really nicely. The chicken wings were also good, nothing crazy but solid. The reason I give this 4 stars and not 5 is really just because of the rice cakes. They are my favorite Korean snack and often a factor in whether I love a restaurant or not. Unfortunately, this one was just lacking in flavor and the sauce was too watery. If you come here, be prepared for traditional cultural type service, a.k.a. be prepared to wait a bit longer to see your waiter and make requests. I would still come back. I was super excited to try out this place. I friggin LOVE Korean food but for me this was a miss. They have seating in the patio area and inside. I usually don't like to sit outside in this Florida heat because i quickly become a sweaty mess but inside made me feel a little claustrophobic. Luckily for me the fans were blasting strong so it wasn't too bad. The food was lackluster and it was hard to grab anyone's attention - possibly short staffed like most places lately?
