Need to start by stating other than my former primary dentist, Dr. Woodruff is the only other dentist I haven seen in nearly 49 years. As you can imagine I was very hesitant about make the change from my previous provider but wow I could not be more pleased with Dr. Woodruff and Woodruff dental. In addition to excellent dental work, I found Dr, Woodruff to be compassionate with excellent doctor, patient interaction. No drama, no salesmanship, just straight forward excellent patient care. Additional, I found the staff to be absolutely terrific. Much like Dr. Woodruff, his assistants are confident with excellent patient care. 2025 Update: I had my first root canal procedure in Brooklyn, New York, 52 years ago. Since then, up to about 10 years ago, caring for my teeth was always a challenge. Dr Woodruff, his great staff, and of course, their best dental hygienist, Brittney, have made visits something I actually LOOK FORWARD TO!!! It turned out that frequent teeth cleaning visits were the trick to prevent lots of issues like gum disease and cavities. After having the same dentist for more than 20 years, finding a new one in a new city hasn't been something I was looking forward to. After searching online for nearby options, I decided to try Woodruff Dental given their nearby proximity and positive reviews here on Yelp. I was glad I did. My initial call to schedule an appointment was discouraging as they weren't able to schedule anything prior to June. Since we're heading out of town for the summer, that wasn't an option. Ivonne, the receptionist, said she could let me know if there was a cancellation in hopes they could squeeze me in. I really didn't hold out much hope that anything would materialize, but she called no more than two days later and said they had an opening for the following afternoon. Great! The next day, I showed up at the office and Ivonne greeted me as if I was a long-time patient. I was so grateful to have been scheduled in so quickly and thanked her for her efforts. I was then introduced to Brooke, my hygienist, who was equally welcoming and friendly as she took my x-rays and proceeded with my first post-pandemic cleaning. Once finished, Dr Woodruff popped in and he, too, was genuinely friendly and professional, politely introducing himself, reviewing my x-rays and asking if I had any questions. Dr. Woodruff is ethical, personable, and thorough. He cares about his patients, as does his staff. During COVID-19, he was able to get me in. Due to it not being a big emergency, I had to wait to get a filling, which I know was very hard for him as a professional and amazing dentist. We absolutely love Dr. Woodruff! He his entire staff are wonderful with our kids, ages 2, 4, and 5. We have a hard time getting our family to appointments and they have always been more than gracious to accommodate our needs (like seeing everyone at the same time or back to back) and they have never been frustrated when we had to reschedule, which is common with kids. They are kind, respectful, and listen well to our concerns and preferences regarding our dental care. We are some of those folks who may opt for other alternative treatments for certain dental issues, and our requests and preferences have always been honored and respected by Dr. Woodruff and his staff. The result is that we trust them completely with our family's dental health. Also- Dr. Woodruff has personally followed up with us after procedures to see how we or the kids are doing. That is so rare with a dental practice or any medical practice these days! One last note is that their billing staff is great. We've changed insurances twice and even realized we had two dental insurances because our kids were covered under a plan we didn't realize. Before I even had time to sort it all out- his office sent me a check because we had overpaid. I think it was done literally in just a few days! We can't recommend them enough.
