I'm a seasonal visitor, so had to search for a dentist to make a new crown, after one broke. Dr. Miller was the perfect find, as his prices were reasonable (I got 4 quotes) and he makes his own crowns at his office. This save me at least a week of waiting and a temporary crown. Not sure I could possibly say enough good stuff about this place but I'mma try. Dentists' offices are on like every corner. And I'm not saying it's easy, but you gotta figure that most of 'em know how to fix teeth the right way. But fixing teeth is just the foundation; alone that gets you a C. Here's why Dr. Miller and team get an A from me and why I'd refer any of you to them. Relationships count. I super love that Travis gives me a fist bump on the way in and remembers that I have two high school-age boys and asks about them. Or that Amber remembers that my wife and I like to travel and asks about where we're off to next while she's x-raying my face. Dr. Miller is pretty legit, too. He's done a root canal and a crown or two, and filled a few cavities for me, and he always prioritizes my confidence and comfort and satisfaction. He's what you want in a dentist: clearly confident in getting the job done, but relatable and cool. That's important to me because I can be anxious in general and will only ever work with someone willing to explain what and why he wants to do thinks and answer my questions, even if they're silly. Or maybe it's the massaging chairs, or the lasers (yeah they have mouth lasers [they don't hurt]), or other state-of-the-art equipment they invested in to keep mouths like yours and mine clean and happy and good-looking. If you're looking for a new dentist go here. Even if it's a bit of a drive, go here. One or two visits in and you'll totally get why I wrote this much about these guys I see only 2-3 times a year, and have stuck with for just about a decade. read more

After having a terrible experience at another practice I came back to Dr. Miller's office as I felt I could trust them. Not only did Dr. Miller save me thousands of dollars, more importantly he saved me hours of time and a lot of pain. I was told I needed 13 crowns and my teeth couldn't be saved at the other practice. I even brought in the other Dentist recommendations and X-rays. Dr. Miller felt it to "be aggressive" (he's so professional he wouldn't speak negatively of the other practice) and he was able to bill my insurance with zero out of pocket. I was able to get all the work done in one visit in 1.5 hours with no discomfort at all. I literally left in happy tears. I want to shout it to the roof that everyone should go see Dr. Miller. His entire staff has been with him forever, which speaks volumes about a practice. They are all phenomenal. Travis, Lisa, Lori and the whole team I cannot say enough. I would give this office 10 stars if I could :) I first saw them at the beginning of the year, because I had to get my wisdom teeth removed (YIKES!). Which honestly, I was really nervous about. But let me tell you, if you need a GREAT dentist/office team and live in Scottsdale, or willing to make the drive.... I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Miller and his staff. They are all so incredibly nice and genuinely care for their patients. Lisa in the front desk, is a doll, who I've been in contact with in all my scheduling matters and dental concerns. Every time I talk to her she is just as sweet as can be. There's never a problem getting in. In fact, they do what they can to make sure you get an appointment as soon as possible. For instance, I've been dealing with some toothaches and pains lately and told Lisa I was interested in scheduling an appointment. I work in the medical field, so I know how tough scheduling can be and I was willing to wait for the next availability. But, instead, Lisa responded to me quickly and they got me in like within the next 2 days. I mean, incredible! The staff here is just amazing. From the front desk, the dental assistants, the hygienists and of course Dr. Miller. Everyone is just great and I genuinely mean that. Each visit I'm left feeling like "Wow, they're so nice!". I was seen today for a check up and the dental assistants and front staff remember me from getting my wisdom teeth pulled and getting a horrible infection right after (Disclosure - Dr. Miller does not extract wisdom teeth, I went to a oral surgeon for that) at the beginning of the year and all asked how I was doing, and that was like 6/7 months ago! I mean, they're all so sweet. Dr. Miller is just hands down the best. His bedside manner is so nice. He asks questions and is genuinely there to help you through any dental problems, questions you have. Today I saw Kimberly Voss, along with Dr. Miller - and she is incredibly nice as well. She asked me a lot of questions about my concerns, but also about myself. She seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and wanting to help fix my tooth pain. So sweet! Dr. Miller replaced a crown for me a couple years ago. Computer milled crown in office. In and out the door in 2 hours flat. Amazing. He came through for me again yesterday too so I thought a review was overdue. Always professional. Great front desk staff. But I have to say one of the big draws is his side-kick Travis. I hate dentists! However, Dr. Miller is so nice and personable and has a tender, soft touch that I don't mind going to see him every six months when I have my cleaning and check ups. OK - I admit it - I HATE THE DENTIST!! So getting me to go to the dentist after ___years, was an adventure for my other half. (He's been very happy going to Dr. Miller for about 3 years; they met playing adult hockey.) Dr. Miller talked with my other half spoke about the procedures and first trip was uneventful. (While Dr. Miller deserves most of the credit - the other half did provide moral support throughout the process!!!) Xray's, some basic cleaning and Zoom whitening. I survived, and the staff was so thoughful - they knew I had bad experiences in the past and all checked on me. Travis was great on the whitening; talking to me through the entire process. Two weeks later - I went BY MYSELF! This time, a deep cleaning and three caps/bonds to even out some chipped teeth. All good - the deep cleaning did not even hurt and I was very apprehensive. Again, whenever I got a little nervous and needed to take a break; Dr. Miller stopped and let me do so. He's a very thorough, but thoughful and caring dentist. The staff is wonderful - Linda, Michael at the reception desk and the office is very modern and clean. (The massage chairs are nice!) My teeth look and feel great. Whenever I mentioned a "rough spot"; Dr. Miller polished it out - he did not complain about my sensitivity and the fact that I really needed some extra polishing - I suppose I have a sensitive tongue/mouth. I talked to two of my other "Yelp" friends who also did not like the dentist and all are patients of Dr. Miller. While we all still hate going to the dentist (Basically, we all had bad experiences as kids/young adults.), we all agree that Dr. Miller is THE BEST DENTIST we have gone to. This was the worst experience at a dentist I have every had. I went in with a chipped front crown, and I had to get it repaired. Dr. Miller replaced my crown, but the moment I got in my car in the parking lot the crown (that took four hours to complete) fell off!!! I went back and he re cemented it. This was the start of a nightmarish experience - for the next year, I had to get this crown re cemented at least four times. With each visit, I felt Dr. Miller and his staff more reluctant and I mean, I did absolutely nothing wrong!! The crown would just fall off on its own, and I have had crowns in the past that lasted me YEARS - so I was pretty traumatized that this would happen, esp. to my front tooth. I am in school and work, so to walk around with a toothless smile was not acceptable. For my last visit, Dr. Miller was grinding my tooth, and I told him to please stop. He didn't listen to me and continued to grind - I had to physically put my hands up to stop him! I went to another dentist to fix my tooth and because I had it done at his office, my insurance wouldn't cover this crown. I had to fight with Dr. Miller's office to reimburse me payment for the crown so I can get it fixed elsewhere!! Lisa at his office was nice when I first met her, but WATCH OUT!!! because the moment you have to discuss something like a refund she turns out to be nasty!!! Dr Miller has been my dentist for about 8 years. My husband also sees him and I have recommended him to my daughter.Like that we get a discount for cash payment , it adds up when you have all the work like implants, crowns and root canals done. He Works with me on my maintenance plan. As I age I want to keep my own teeth , but because of my small mouth and work needed sometimes my dental visits are very trying. As other people gave mentioned Travis is great. The front office changes are taking some time to get adjusted . I would give 10 stars if I could! I came to Dr. Miller after a colleague recommended him for a crown. This was my first root canal and crown placement therefore I was a nervous wreck. The in-office crown creator made this dental procedure so much easier. One visit after the root canal and the crown was molded and ready to go. Travis is an absolute pleasure! He calmed my nerves and talked me through the whole procedure. Unfortunately I needed another crown about 6 months later due to a fractured tooth. I returned to Dr. Miller without question and was able to schedule an apt within 2 days (which is unheard of at my other dentist). Due to complications from my crown placement, Dr. Miller agreed to perform my second root canal despite his usual referral to the specialist. This not only helped with my dental costs but allowed me to seal the crown back up without needing a follow up visit. The secretaries were also a great help in arranging this. Again, I would recommend this place x10. If I'm ever in need of a "scary" dental procedure, I will be back to see Dr. Miller and Travis. Thank you for all you do! read more

After a bad experience at another dental group in the area (Modern Blah Blah Blah) and needing to get some work done I decided to give Dr. Miller a stab at it. I knew I needed a crown and a cleaning. They got me in right away for the cleaning and the crown assessment. The staff in the front office is super friendly, Travis (dr. Millers Assistant) was great to work with and Dr Miller himself is very professional, friendly and efficient, and I mean efficient. When it came time for the crown Travis had everything teed up for the Dr to swoop in and get the work he needed to do done. They told me exactly what they were doing, how long it would take and executed. Without question the most speedy and detailed crown I have ever had done. And to top it off they followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was working as required (I do need to go back for an adjustment on a retainer I have). Happy to find a good dentist for my family because finding the right dentist can really bite! read more

Wow! What a great dentist and office. Of course I don't like going to the dentist....who does. Nevertheless, I am from Texas and while I was in town, one of my molars broke! I was recommended to Dr. Miller by the front desk clerk at the hotel I was staying in. She said she has been going to him for years and had nothing but praise for him. Well, I concur..... he actually stayed late to see me. Gave me two options, (1) put in a temporary until I could see my dentist back in Texas or (2) put in a crown and he could do it the same day. My other crowns normally take at least a week and involve two trips to the dentist. I asked how he could do it and he showed me a hi-tec milling machine and unbelievable 3d software program that diagrams and then mills a porcelain crown. I am a engineer and was amazed at the technology in his office. He numbed me up and I couldn't feel the syringe go in, he had a great touch. He scanned my tooth and it showed up on the monitor. He then sent the wirelessly to the milling machine and in a matter of 20 minutes, my crown was ready. He installed and it fit like a glove. It has been three weeks and it fits and feels absolutely fantastic. The German technology he utilizes is world class and I will never use the conventional method again. I needed a new dentist since relocating from Nebraska; I did a research to find my dentist in town. I found out Dr. Miller is up to date on knowledge and technology and I made an appointment earlier this year. Since I arrived they make me feel welcome. Dr. Miller and his team of dental specialist listen to my concerns and answer all my questions, explaining what needs to be done and the reason for doing it as well as what I should expect after treatment. They always call me to check how I am doing after having a procedure. The front staff is the best!.When I need to see the dentist they get me as soon as possible and even help me get my insurance to pay their share by appealing their decision not to do it. thanks a lot girls.
