My family and I came in for food, got seated quickly but sat for 20 minutes with multiple waitresses and the host stand noticing us just sitting there. We tried to get a waitresses attention but she turned around quickly and began to help other tables ignoring us. We decided that was the first and last time we will be coming to this place. I would like to start by saying my wife and I have frequented this restaurant at least once a week for the past couple of years. We loved the atmosphere and most of the wait staff and management. As regulars, we would generally be waited on by the same individual each time. We recently found that the new upper management is making our favorite server leave because she is married to one of the floor managers. They have worked together for the past year!! This is not new. There are also several other employees there who are related and not being asked to leave. Because this is a same sex marriage, it's borderline discrimination. I am extremely disappointed in the management for making this decision, and we will not be returning. read more

We stopped by Woodson's for an early lunch. The service was friendly and timely. We ordered the fried pickles to share. You get a lot. This in itself could've been a meal. I saved some to put on my chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was huge. The chicken breast could've made two sandwiches. There could've been more garlic aioli sauce, so if you're like me, ask for more sauce on the side. The fries were on point. I'm very picky about my and these were perfect. My husband ordered the BBQ nachos. I, of course, tried a bite, or two. They were good! I'm used to the regular nachos so these were a pleasant change of pace. He had the brisket on his and it was very tasty. By the time we were leaving around noon the place was picking up lots of customers so come early for lunch and it's smooth sailing. I will be coming back to Woodson's in the near future as I'd like to try a few other of their favorites. (Especially, the chili Mac egg rolls and the infamous giant pretzel) read more

They had numerous beers on tap so that was a plus in our book. We tried the hat trick appetizer it was just so so. The nachos tasted like Taco Bell chips and cheese which is fine at Taco Bell. The Buffalo wings were nice and crispy but lacking flavor and size but they had a good ranch to dip in which is a great thing. The Philly cheese steak egg rolls were good. We had the brisket tacos which were very filling but expected something more. The server was maybe overwhelmed but something as simple as making eye contact with your tables to see from a far if they need something would've made a huge difference. I've always enjoyed the food here but really where this place excels at is customer service. Specifically, a bartender, Mitzi, goes above and beyond to always provide superior service. My husband and I love her service so much that we have been regulars every Sunday after church for roughly 3-4 months now. Every time she has remembered our order and submitted it promptly, most of the time without us even having to ask. She also has great interpersonal skills that allow her to connect and build a rapport with each of her customers. Additionally, she is one of the hardest working and industrious people I have met. Although she was juggling many tables, we felt like her only customers. She was so friendly and made sure our needs were met quickly all night. If I could give 0 starts I would. I have been about 4 or 5 times over 6 years. The food has always been mediocre and over priced. Tonight I came with a group of friends just to watch the game and thought I would just have a few drinks. I had 4 vodka lemonades and was charged 114 dollars. After asking the waitress she spoke to me like a child telling me that the vodka I ordered was expensive. After googling the price of a full bottle in the store, it was only 20-30 for a whole bottle depending on the store. There was no reason for them to charge me 29 per drink. After arguing with the staff and manager for about 15 minutes they finally decided I was right and they could give me some money back after all. If I had not paid closer attention they would have gotten away with their scam of overcharging. Save your time and money and go somewhere where the food and service is actually worth it. read more

I've been at least 5 times now. Very slow service regardless of the time of day. It took two hours to get a salad and a kids meal. The kids meal was too hot to touch as an adult which can be overlooked if it didn't take 45 minutes to get which sounds like the kitchen was backed up to get such hot food so late but the restaurant wasn't even at half capacity so unless to go was insane it made no sense. Server was inattentive to drink refills. Check turn around was a 15+ minute wait. read more

For appetizers, we had the giant pretzel (the kids loved it and we did too), the philly egg rolls (straight up awesomeness), and the magnolia fries (slap yo mama good). I had the chicken fried steak for dinner. It was cut with a fork tender and the gravy had a nice warm kick to it. The roasted corn that came with it was juicy and delicious as well. They estimated the wait time of 20 minutes perfectly. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The bar must have been slightly behind the food as our drinks always seemed to take a minute or two extra to reach us. They have some great craft cocktails as well as beers to select from. The wine options are limited. Besides the fries, the black and blue burger and brisket grilled cheese are on point. Their burger patty is delicious. What makes them so rich in flavor and juicy? They are made from a blend of brisket, short rib, and ground chuck. I just had mine without a bun to make it wheat free. I substituted my fries with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were also delicious. My husband loved his brisket grilled cheese. The server recommended a side of the tomato soup to dip the sandwich in. My husband followed the recommendation and the combination was stellar! They should add that tip to the menu. Even though a game was going on, and the place was packed the sound wasn't deafening.
