Wow. I am so saddened and upset by my experience at Woodson's today. We have been multiple times and their food is always amazing, easily the best nachos in town. Today the service was so poor, I do not believe we will be back. I ordered a salad that said there was Pico in it (traditionally pico is made with onions, cilantro, tomatoes, lime juice... maybe jalapeño) I have an allergy to bell pepper and never thought someone would put bell pepper in a pico. When I discovered it in my salad I immediately stopped eating and the server and manager were completely unhelpful. The manager did not even come to the table to apologize or ask if there was anything that could be done. We ended up paying for a meal that could not be eaten. I have never received service like this.... Such a disappointment. Be careful if you have food allergies here. read more

Who ever makes burgers does not know how to read I wanted they gave me seven fry's this is a vet piss poor Restraunt in my opinion if you like them good but my money will not be spent here ever again. I am having to put all the vegetables back on the burger because nothing was correct. McDonald's does a better job and has a better tasting burger and it's not even meat. In the times I've visited, I've had the flatbread pizza, the buffalo mac n' cheese, and the giant pretzel. All of them, except the pretzel, were really good. One of my family members, who is notorious for being a picky eater, really like the flatbread pizza. For the crowd who goes just for a drink and a good time, Woodson's got you covered too. On their porch they have giant beer pong and cornhole. Inside they have live music and trivia games. Perhaps most importantly though, they have a great selection of drinks on tap and for you cider drinkers, they have Angry Orchard available. 4/5 would visit again. read more

After consistently coming here for over 2 years things have REALLY gone down hill for this place. The only good thing are their drinks. I love the happy hour but if it wasn't for the woodsons vip insider I wouldn't even come back here. I always ALWAYS get the nachos, last night I hardly got anything on my chips. I had to ASK for more cheese. There was hardly any chicken,(which I had to pay extra for). The nachos had literally 3 pieces of shredded lettuce. After two drinks I decided to let that slide. Then I ordered boneless wings, COVERED in grease. Absolutely no flavor at all. And they were BURNT. Out of 8 wings I ate 3. I spent more than enough more to have good food. Note: this review is of Woodson's happy hour. I've never been there for a meal, but twice for HH! IMO, Woodson's has one of the better happy hours in our area. They have good drink and food specials, and it goes until 7:00. Their food (HH and regular menu) is definitely 'bar food' (lots of fried things, etc), but it's well executed and tasty. I'm also a big fan of their patio! The inside is a bit loud for me. All in all, good place to go with friends for some bites and/or drinks. read more

I want to like this place so much, but the food is just mediocre. We've been here twice and while the beer list is great the food is so-so. The big pretzel appetizer is good and was the highlight (food wise) of our first trip. Tonight we went again and discovered it was the grand reopening. The beer list was good!! My husband had the Cure burger and said it was pretty good. I had the BBQ Mac and cheese. While this is obviously a heavier dish, it was waaaay heavier (greasier) than it needed to be. The macaroni portion was good. But the "BBQ" portion tasted like a microwave carton doused in sauce. I've have much better. Oh well read more

Updated review: Staff do not always wear masks, and when they do it is often not worn properly. Almost no customers wear masks when entering restaurant, in restrooms, or while waiting for a table. They are seating past Covid safety capacity. We tried to give the benefit of the doubt but our last three times here left A LOT to be desired as far as compliance with safety measures. Torn about my review. I am looking for great burger places in and around Houston. This place is definitely not the place to go if your looking for a good burg. I ordered medium well. It was more medium/ medium rare. And tasteless. French fries were crispy pockets of grease. Terrible. Cannot recommend for a good burger. But the crawfish. Huge, well seasoned, and delicious. With drawn butter and spicy blend. The corn was perfect and not over cooked like you often get with crawfish. Based on burger they get about two stars. But the crawfish bump it up a star. read more

We left BJ's Steakhouse because the service was soooo doggone HORRIBLE. We tried a few other spots but the general busy-ness and overpacked crowds had us too scared to grub. The server was cool beans (ESPECIALLY considering we left BJ's for crappy service) but in hindsight, I just shocked by the transition from BAD service to REGULAR service. She checked on us, made sure we were good before leaving and sounded somewhat knowledgeable about the menu and alternatives. SHE was not the problem. SHE helped with standard, run-of-the-mill, waiter service. The FOOD dropped the score. My wife and I experimented by tasting the kids' orders. ‍ Noooooo. Where is the seasoning? Why is it so almost-colder-than-lukewarm? These are freaking tater tots bro. I need them HOT so they last a little awhile. Bring 'em cool, cold or lukewarm and they are NOT edible in a few minutes. Besides the food being UN-seasoned? Being lukewarm? Out of five orders, THREE "appetizers", ZERO, NAN, NONE "were actually eaten. We're a party of five and nobody thought the food was good enough to finish their plate. Did we take to-go plates? Heck yes because the kids gotta finish theirs. THAT brings me to another detail. Bathrooms. If you're familiar with MY reviews, you know I'm disabled AF, 100% wheelchair bound, my Multiple Sclerosis drastically reduces control of my left arm AND I'm prone to violent needs for restrooms. The cleanliness of an establishment is HUUUUGE to people like me. *ahem* We had to leave EARLY, from a perfectly AVERAGE meal so my daughters could use the restroom. We went to WAL-MART! Maaaaaaaan, from the whispers between my 6th grade girl and 2nd grade girl, it was beyond nasty. OMG. We burned rubber on gambled on Wal-Mart. Yikes! I can't remember our waiters name, but she was the sweetest! It was my husbands & i first time dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere was calm for how busy it was, drinks & food came fast, the waiter was very attentive. My husband ordered the Shrimp alfredo & i ordered a Magnolia Baked-Potato! Our daughter loves Woodson's. She graduated from HS last weekend. I contacted one of the managers (Heather)at Woodson's. I inquired about have her graduation lunch celebration at the Woodson's on 1488. It would be 13 people, we wanted appetizers and waters on the table when we arrived. Everyone would order their own lunch. Heather was FANTASTIC to work with. Our server was AWESOME! It was the perfect celebration for our daughter and our family.
