I absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant! I have never been to a place like Woodsons the music and energy was outstanding. The food was also delicious I had the crawfish so good!!!! Definitely if you go try it I think I might have to go back. My server alone was the best server I have ever had. She was a delight her name was Halle just the cutest little thing and she was great at making sure we were accommodated( my husband has bad food allergies) and she made sure everything was pristine for him and myself. 10/10 service I couldn't have asked for a better experience! read more

Atmosphere is normal for a Sportsbar and an extensive menu. I only wish that the kitchen actually could cook them. I've been here 4 times, trying to see if was an off day or just bad food. The last, and trust me the final visit, I ordered the Fish and Chips. It was by far the greasiest fish I've ever eaten. Aside from that, the batter was horrible. We came in with a group of 10 and they were kind enough to pull a table together for us even though the restaurant was somewhat crowded on a Sunday afternoon at 1. We ordered queso which came out quickly and was good. My niece ordered the kids chicken strips which by my pic you can see were enormous given it was the kids portion. She said they were great. I ordered the chili mac egg rolls. They were fairly good but I wouldn't order them against I was a little disappointed that they weren't more flavorful. I do give the Jalapeno Ranch a thumbs up though. Our server was good but we noticed she had tables on the other side of the restaurant on the patio in addition to ours so we were waiting for for a few things and our tab took awhile. It was our first time trying Woodson's and it was yummy! I had a hurricane drink that was on point! We did order the spinach artichoke dip and it wasn't a favorite of any of ours but ok. I was worried about the rest of the meal but it was amazing! My husband and son in law both had the fish and chips, one with fries and Cole slaw and one with double mashed potatoes. The coating was tasty and the fish flaky. The homemade tartar sauce was good too. We ordered 1 lb of crawfish to try because we are all newer to the south and never tried them. The waitress was great and showed us how to correctly eat them since none of us knew. We all want to get them again! My son had a seafood combo with fried crawfish tails shrimp and catfish and he said the spices and seasoning were delicious! I had the stuffed shrimp over a bed of rice. I've visited on several occasions and the saving grace is the service. I usually sit at the bar and the bartenders are very friendly and attentive. During my last visit I was hankering for a good chicken fried steak. When the plate came out I was ready to dive in! It looked delicious!! It was dry and flavorless :( The portion was large but boy was it lacking flavor. The sides were good though. The green beans and mashed potatoes were good and so was my mixed drink. This was my first visit to Woodson's since COVID restrictions were lifted and my team could not have selected a more fun spot for drinks and appetizers. We shared a large pretzel, tuna poke, burger sliders, nachos, and queso. I munched on the sliders, nachos, and queso while sipping a Buffalo Trace on the rocks. My party and I consumed all the Buffalo Trace (on allocation from the distillery), so my second drink was a Makers Maker on the rocks. Came in on 06/26/25 around 6pm sat at the bar corner two empty seats between me and two lovely middle age to elderly ladies enjoying dinner. Bartender got my order. Four grown men moved from their table to sit in the two empty seats some how upset the two ladies. I'm guessing the men move there to make it unpleasant for me. Clearly I stood out in a place where almost every customer was Caucasian. The men were so obnoxious it made the ladies leave prematurely, even taking their dinner to go. One tried to apologize one said no other two was not saying anything. One lady left , manager came over tried to compensate their dinner, she turned it down. The four men went back to their original table. Manager talked to the four men and left it at that. I was next to the men but she did not apologize to me or anyone else within hearing distance. She should have thrown that one guy out who was being loud, obnoxious and refused to apologize, regular customer or not. Or throw out all four. Next time he does it he should be band from establishment. This is how restaurants and bars go bad, you let a fool act up and because he's a regular you allow them/him to be obnoxious get drunk and be stupid, driving your good customers away. Manager did not handle this very well. I thought this was family orientated place, clearly not. Put a signed at your door that you have the right to refuse service to anyone. I could have gone to a hole in a wall place. The service from rest of staff was great and so was the food. read more

I must admit Woodson's was a huge surprise for me. On our way back from Nitty Gritty Chopper City we were HUNGRY. So, we had to pass Woodson's on the way home, and I suggested that we try it. It's been on my radar for a few months now. It's decorated very nicely and had a good atmosphere going in. We were seated right away and was served our drinks within just a few minutes. The menu is well rounded with traditional items that you'd expect at a bar and grill. I went with the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and a tea. The sandwich comes with fries. I also noticed on the menu that they have a lot of loaded fries and tots options. Maybe next time, this time I HAD to try the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Good Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches are HARD to find. When it came out you could tell that it was a hand breaded chicken breast. The crust on it was so crunchy, just like I like it. And it was a HUGE piece of chicken. The sauce was great and everything on the sandwich as fresh. You can tell it was good by how messy it was. Thank goodness I was wearing black that day. I ate the whole sandwich which is unusual for me. As far as the fries, they can keep them. I wasn't a fan. They weren't your typical fries. My boyfriend liked them, so they are good to some people, just not me. I just wish I would have taken a picture. Looks like that's a good excuse to go back, must get pictures next time. read more

First time here. Had it bookmarked on Yelp a while back. Trying out new places closer to my neck of the woods. My co-workers and I planned a last minute hangout to get to know each other and mingle after work, which is close to us. Parking: Gets pretty full at 6 pm on a Friday night. There's other businesses in this shopping center. Service: Our waitress, Jewel, was attentive and came by often to see if there was anything else we needed or if we wanted another round of drinks. Food: You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The giant pretzel was soft and had a great flavor. Gets a little salty when you dip the more salted part in the cheddar cheese, but you can just brush off the salt on the pretzel. The wings are amazing. I ordered the parmesan garlic and a couple of my co-workers had the buffalo flavor. They said it was packed with heat. Their ranch really makes a difference. It's the good, housemade kind. The Magnolia fries are packed with Southern goodness - brisket, bbq sauce, fried pickles, & fried onion strings. The salads look fresh, the burgers are big and juicy, and the mac and cheese is served hot in a cast iron skillet. Ambiance: Huge space with indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of wall-mounted TVs to suit your sports needs, and live music on Friday nights. It can get so loud that you have to yell at the person sitting next to you or 2 feet across the table. Downside, they run out of some beer at 9:30 pm on a Friday night...and they're open till 2 am. In particular, they ran out of the Blonde Bombshell Ale and Austin Eastciders Pineapple Cider. Boo. The weekend is just beginning! Overall, it's a pretty cool sports bar with an industrial feel. I'd come back! Oh and, a couple of my co-workers are on maternity leave, and they brought their 4 and 9 week old babies in carriers. They had high chairs to place the carrier. First time visitor. 1 ABSOLUTE MUST TRY: cinnabites! They were by far the thing that would make me come back. 2 Really Good: Woodson Burger, Mac and Cheese side (creamy, not sharp, so good). Couple of misses: corn on the cob was cold and pretty flavorless, chicken fried chicken was chewy chewy chewy and pretty unremarkable, gravy was a little greasy and didn't add anything, service was a little bit slow (not taking points off this one, just stating).
