Found this brewery after our short hike in Burney Falls in Redding area. Located on Yelp as a top place to have a burger and beer. Came when I guess it just opened as we were able to seat ourselves before they closed it off and you had to wait to be seated. It was a packed house. No private parking, just street parking. Tori was our server. We arrived about 5:15p but after half an hour, you had to wait to be seated. 45 min wait was what we heard. Yikes! We ordered and the food came pretty quickly. Drinks came out first of course. I ordered the Swheat Dreams and tastes like the regular wheat beer. Good for me! Hubster ordered the Pacific Pineapple Cider. It's good and sweet but too sweet for me. Hubster ordered the fish and chips. It was good but the portion was kind of small even the fries portion. I ordered the jalapeño burger with fries. It was good and juicy but pretty oily. It was I think on a pretzel bun. Still satisfied my hunger. I had more steak fries on my tray than my hubster and he was upset. HAHA Great place. If you are ever near Redding, you gotta check out Woody's. We had a really excellent meal, fabulous service and friendliest server (Shout out to Gage from Burnie & Steve). Highly recommend. Truly everything was top notch. My husband had the mac n cheese with smoked sausage....oh my! The beer cheese in the mac is so thick, creamy & tangy. I had the Spicy Cali chicken sandwich made a we bit less spicy for me. They were kind enough to substitute out regular jack cheese for the ghost pepper jack on the menu. Utter perfection. And the home made tater tots!!! So crispy crunchy on the outside & pillowy goodness on the inside just like the menu describes. Thanks for a fabulous meal & a wonderful night. Great food, outstanding selection of brew (so many other places only offer IPA's). Food is spicy overall, I like it that way, but if you don't, be sure to ask before you order. The fish n chips is outstanding, so are their salads. The main thing is ... you can't get a cell signal in there. Well, sometimes you can get one bar. I go in for lunch, and I need to be able to be contacted during my lunch. If I have 'call' that day - I can't go here. Too bad too. It costs them, probably, two or three visits a week from me. My husband and I were loyal guests when this restaurant was still under Woody's management and cooks. We were in town yesterday and thought we'd stop for lunch before going home. We ordered staples from the menu that we had ordered before when things were still "Woody's" ..... we were unhappy with the tastes of the new recipes and quality of the ingredients that are being served. The cheesy condiment for the pretzel is no longer a house made beer cheese. The cheese condiment tastes like it's from a jar!? We also ordered an appetizer of chicken strips, the crispy crust on the chicken appeared to be (and tasted like) the chicken was prepared and deep fried in older breadcrumbs and oil I didn't eat the crispy coating of the chicken strips, but my husband did and he had a fair amount of heartburn later in the evening. Real house made recipes, especially with condiments and coatings for foods that are deep fried and changing the oil the foods are fried in make a huge difference in the quality of the foods being prepared and served. Servers appeared professional but not engaging. Overall, it was a mediocre dining experience!!! read more

So, the beer selection is a good range from light to dark, high alcohol to low. The hefe was refreshing and clean, the way I like it! So I got the taco salad. 10 stars, why? Layers of wonderful lettuce blessed with dressing, shredded cheese, chips, gauc and the marvelous habanero salsa. Perfection for me. Didn't yearn for Tabasco or extra salad dressing. I opted for the shredded beef and it was a buku amount of shredded luscious tasty no fat shredded meat. The crispy darkened pieces were like the outside of a prime rib, yummy. What a packed place on a summer Wednesday night! There was not a single table available inside. Good for them! Service was super friendly and set the tone for a nice casual meal. Tables were pretty close and it was sort of loud in the restaurant but that just added to the energy of the place. Picking and choosing my carbs (lol), I had the Philly cheesesteak without a bun and tater tots. They were not typical but I sure did enjoy them! Crispy seasoned outside, pillowy inside. Mm. Hubsters chose fish and chips, son ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo... both of them finished everything and enjoyed every aspect of their meal. We were in town for a mini vacation and decided to get late night takeout. I am obsessed with pretzel buns and its quite hard to come across a burger joint that offers this (let alone as a menu staple) so I was super excited to try out their burgers!! We got the regular burger as well as the spicy chicken burger with tater tots. I was so dissapointed that the chicken burger didnt come with a pretzel bun (even though on top of the menu it said all burgers come with it!!). Aside from this, the rest of our meal was amazing - loved the giant tater tots. It didnt have a greasy, unhealthy taste like normal tater tots do - I'd say the consistency is more bread like and starchy (in the most yummy way possible). We had seen a Facebook post about the special meals Woody's was offering for Octoberfest, and it looked delicious so we went for dinner. A sign told us to seat ourselves so we did. After sitting there for a good 15 minutes we finally were given menus and water, and the waiter quickly disappeared. We could have given him our order but he didn't bother asking, and we would have ordered our own drinks at the bar, but there was no bartender to be seen. I'm generally a pretty patient person, but I don't know anyone that would go to a brewpub to sit with a glass of water and no food. We heard the food and drinks were delicious so for date night we decided to stop at Woody's! We arrived around 7pm and there was no line and were seated almost immediately (major plus). The indoors was pretty small and tables were tight together but it worked. As soon as we sat, they brought us waters and placed our drinks and appetizers order. For appetizers we got the fried pickle and the woody tots - both were BOMBBBBB!! For beer, we started with the October fest and the artichoke wheat ale, and let me tell you, both these beers were so so good! I HIGHLY recommend the wheat ale. For dinner, we all order different platters. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and I would say it's okay. The Buffalo sauce does have a really good kick but I would've preferred one slice of fried chicken rather than 2 because it immediately was break apart. Also, these buns were not my fav tbh, within a minute of getting it the bottom was already soggy and falling apart. My boyfriend got the Shrimp Po'Boy with a side of Mac and cheese and he said he really liked his meal. He kept raving about the max and cheese! Our friends order the Cajun Chicken Alfredo and the Woody's Mac Attack and we were not impressed. The Alfredo had no Cajun spice and was overall very bland. I found this place online. We found parking right in front. The place is spacious inside it's one room but very open. We ordered a giant pretzel to share it was good. The burgers are pretty big and filling. The tots were really good. I had the Tex mex salad it was okay but very filling. Everyone there was very welcoming and nice. Found this place on Yelp. Omg, we ate dinner here twice in the 3 days we were visiting. This place was only 3 blocks from where we were staying. Both times there was a table for us right away. Cool vibe, clean bathroom, service rocks and amazing food. First night we had Heather as our server and 2nd time it was Lauren. Both were friendly and rocked as our server. Seriously we eat out a lot and they have been some of the best recently. Also the 1st night Val helped with some beer to go and a cool hat for my husband. Woody's food portions are huge. Each time the 4 of us split 2 meals since we were staying at a hotel and didn't want left overs. My daughter both times got their pasta mac and cheese. It came in a big bowl and 2 slices of garlic bread. She split it with my 87 year old mother who was quiet for at least 10 minutes eating away. My daughter loved it and that is why she got it both times. My hubby and I first split their nacho with chicken on it. It was enough food to feed both of us and fill us up. The nacho was so yummy. The 2nd time there we got the fish and chips and I wil say that it was just like we love it! We have been so and have been way disappointed regardless if the server says theirs is awesome. No it wasn't but Woody's is the right way to make fish and chips. We ended with their ice cream sandwich for dessert. It also was huge. All 4 of us split it. There was enough for all of us plus we were so full we left a bit behind, dang. Their beer selection was awesome. We had some great IPA's on draft. We will definitely come back if in town again.
