My first visit to T-Loc's Sonora Hot Dogs and wow, what a way to be introduced to this spot!…read more I met up with a fellow Yelper friend and we got there not long after opening, which turned out to be a very smart move. While we were waiting for our food, it suddenly became a whole scene, it was National Hot Dog Day, and the line just kept growing and growing. People were fully committed too, hot dog shirts, hot dog hats, I'm pretty sure I saw a walking hot dog at one point. Add in folks bringing their own ice chests of beer and it felt like a little hot dog party. We decided to go big and ordered every kind of dog they make so we could share and try them all. A super sweet lady brought our order out to us, which I loved. No waiting around trying to hear someone shout out your name. And let me tell you, every single one was damn good. You really can't go wrong here. My favorite ended up being the classic chili cheese dog, because apparently I like to keep it old school, ha. But seriously, Mr. T-Loc knows exactly what he's doing with his chili recipe! I also tried an agua fresca for the first time and now I get the hype. So refreshing and good. Next time, I've got my eye on one of those big burritos because they looked crazy good, no joke. Accessibility wise, they do have accessible parking, which is a huge plus. The seating is a mix of circular and standard picnic tables, some with shade, but not the most wheelchair-friendly setup. They do have a ramp up to the covered area and I made it work by parking at an angle at the end of a table, nothing was getting between me and those dogs. Bottom line, this is a must try spot if you're craving great food and don't skip on the fresh made agua fresca!

The combination of ingredients tantalize your tongue. You need to get it exactly how it's is meant to be eaten and don't take anything off of it or add anything it's perfect the way it is. The bacon wrapped beef hot dog combined with all of the toppings at first can look over whelming but once you take the first bite you will taste that everything is balanced and tasted perfect with each other. Service is quick and friendly. You tell them where you are and they will take it out to you. Ambiance is food truck park with about 7 or 8 other food spots.

You could find a wonderful selection of food & drinks vendors, like Moi Vietnamese grill. Mom & Pops popsicles. Connor's creamery. Garbo's. Ding tea. Citrus refreshments. Weh? Asian fusion. Shoyu Sugar is Hawaiian grill and a favorite amongst visitors. Boba bites and tea, had their very first event and are in the process of opening their shop soon. A business to be continued, as I love their teas! Dash realty was there too with a bean bag toss, giving out balloons and candy. Cutco with their knives. Ten thousand villages had some beautiful fair trade goodies. All vendors had quite a long line. Moi's customers faced a long time in the burning Sun, but Asians love food! Weh? Sold out within 2 hours! The DJ's supplied great vibes inside the VUKA building, which is modern, spacious, air-conditioned, a great place for events. It hosted the space for a Limbo race, and crafting paper fans by 'open eyes beyond border' for the Lil' ones. The event would take place all day, and it is a hot day. A great event! The dragon dance was very much entertaining. People had their dollar bills ready! Oh, how we love to feed the dragon to get luck and prosperity! Yes, yes, Chinese dragons are believed to have control over water, rain, hurricanes and floods. They also represent power, strength and good luck. The Chinese believe that performing the dragon dance during festivals and celebrations drives away evil spirits and ushers in good luck and blessings for the community.

Of special note is the very good blueberry lemonade from Conscious Cravings, as well as a to-die-for selection of goat cheese from the Chivata Goat Cheese Truck. (Seriously, go check out their trailer and pick up one of their sandwiches, your tummy will thank you.) Pros: Outdoor and *indoor* seating - useful when it rains or bakes in Austin, which it can. Reasonable selection of food trucks, you'll find something to try. Bathroom facilities are fine and not port-a-potties. Cons: Some of the trucks hold odd hours on the weekend. Parking is at a premium, with about a dozen spots and 2 handicapped spots. You can find parking on the side streets but be careful crossing 1st Street as the traffic zooms by at light speed! All in all, this location is well worth a visit!

Love that they're set up in a retro airstream -- such a fun vibe. Donuts are made fresh and topped to order, and it is 100% worth the wait. They've got large and mini sizes, so we went with a few different minis so we could try multiple flavors without overdoing it (or maybe we still overdid it, no regrets ). The menu has something for everyone, even more "basic" options for those who don't want all the toppings -- which honestly feels a little sacrilegious here haha. They also have great coffee, plenty of seating, and shaded tables so you can dig in right away and actually enjoy the moment. I honestly cannot pick a favorite menu item because I loved them all!! Already counting down until I'm back in Austin so I can return.

There wasn't a line (it was a pretty hot day) so we managed to order quickly. We opted to split the Black Betty. It was huge!! I loved the blackberry sauce and fruit mixed in with the cream and sugar. This is one big dessert so I'm glad we shared it - honestly would be worth splitting a whole one amongst a few people unless you have a big sweet tooth! The staff were really quick with the order. There's ample seating by the truck which is probably nice for part of the year, but we were suffering on a hot summer day. I would highly recommend this spot - but keep in mind the weather as it's all outdoor and outdoor seating only.

The prices are a bit high BUT I do think it makes sense with the price of all supplies going up. Now, the food is so stupid delicious. It makes me forget that my steak quesadilla and watermelon agua Fresca was $28. And that's not sarcasm, I legit don't care when the food is this good. I usually order a barbacoa taco and an agua Fresca and it is consistently phenomenal. The salsas are delicious, pour both on your food. They have a different flavor profile and both accompany each other well. The staff here is so friendly, they try to get your order quickly, and communicate well when it's ready. Bless the hands that make this amazing food! This location is inside the littlefields location so there's tons of seating and a fenced in play area for kids. It's not a playscape, more so a space to run around with room for tons of imaginative play. Parking here can be dicey, please take notice of the customer parking signs. And for the love, do not block the fire lane. It makes it impossible for people to leave their actual parking spots. Don't act like you don't see it's clearly marked- the employees at besame and Veracruz should NOT have to tell you to move. There's plenty of street parking.

The area is laidback with a play area for kids/families. There's also a coffee shop right next door. In terms of service, the staff are great -- just need to be prepared for a wait, especially if you're there during the weekend. (To be fair, they do have a sign by the register that says they make fresh food, not fast food). You also have the option of doing an online order + pick-up, which may speed things up. I usually get the migas tacos at Veracruz but went with the grilled fish taco this time, which was also very delicious! Grilled Fish Taco ($7.50, 5/5) - The grilled tilapia was tender yet still held its shape. It also had just the right amount of crunch. - The toppings (cabbage, mango pico, cheese, avocado, chipotle mayo salsa) made each bite very enjoyable - As always, love the sauces here Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a casual place to eat some good tacos. The prices are on the higher end, but the quality is consistent. Would definitely come back and try other items on their menu!
