The inside is beautiful and made for a really nice dining experience. We started with the Eichten's cheese curds, and they were excellent. They were soft on the inside, some had a great cheese pull, and the spicy dipping sauce paired really well with them. I ordered the Flat Iron Frites. The steak was seasoned well, cooked nicely, and didn't have much fat, which I appreciated. The fries were crispy and came with house-made ketchup. I usually don't even like ketchup, but this one was actually really good. My partner ordered the deviled eggs as his appetizer, and he enjoyed them so much he finished them in no time. For dessert, we had the Strawberry Shortcake Crème Brûlée, and it was fantastic. I've never had crème brûlée like that before. It was a unique twist on a classic dessert and ended the meal perfectly. The only small downside was that the complimentary water tasted clean and fresh. But it was warm instead of cold. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a great experience, and I'd happily return. Glad i was able to cross this one off of my list.

The walk-in cooler for beer is a sad, sad state of affairs, especially if you know what the selection used to be like. Certainly, if wine is your thing, I'm sure there's something passable if you need a bottle to go with dinner or take to a party. But if you're looking for beer, move on to a different store. Hit Thomas Liquors or Ale Jail in St. Paul. Sadly, everything that made Sunfish a unique beer lovers' destination is no more. We are truly sad about it. This was one of our favorite hidden gems in the Twin Cities. As an aside, we also were not impressed by the service. When we walked in, a girl rushed up to us and asked if we needed help. I highly suspect she thought we were going to steal something. It did not make us feel welcomed. And then she straight-up lied to us. She told us that most of the beer from the old location had been brought over, which is absolutely not true. I am truly sad to say we will not be back.

Complete sadness. The once stellar beer selection did not make the move to the new location.

The house was actually a well decorated maze, so it was a puzzle trying to figure out where to go. The actors cannot touch you, but there was a good amount of jump scares. We ended up taking 20-25 minutes to go through the maze. There were also a couple photo opportunities inside. We exited into a gift shop and went to the bar which had a drag show (i think this was a special and isn't a regular occurrence, so it was a nice surprise). i also love that there were lots of photo ops outside. I didn't pay for my tickets and $40 sounds a little steep but it was fun, and I'm seeing some discounts available for specific dates and MEA weekend, so I would say it's worth it if you find a discount day!

My husband and I had a different experience than some of the other reviewers. We had our Valentines Dinner there and would not return. We sat at table 72, trust me this is a table you do not want. You'll be constantly distracted by people being walked to their tables and servers going in and out of their station. We felt out in the open and on display. It was far from romantic lets just say that. As far as the food goes the diablo bites were good and so was my wedge salad (very fresh) our entrees however were not good. My husband order the NY strip with Blue cheese hashbrowns - do not order the hashbrowns, they looked awful and didn't taste much better. I ordered the Filet oscar style - my steak was not bad but it was not your typical yummy, tender filet. The $5.00 baked potato was a joke, it was very small and VERY overdone. Our waitress disappeared after the food was dropped off. After a while, the manager came over, asked us how everything was. We should have told him we were disappointed but to be honest, I didn't feel like going through the whole ordeal with a "manager" that was arguing with one of his servers right in front of us a few minutes prior to stopping by. (not very professional of a manager) He did ask us if we wanted a box, which we did. Funny thing, instead of walking to the server station to get us a box (which was literally right there) he went to find the waitress, who then brought us our box. I went to grab the box from her to box up our food and she said she would be glad to do it. I mentioned that I would actually prefer to box my own food and she replied that "She would not feel comfortable with that" so off she went with our food. We ended up throwing the food away. It was really not good and not knowing how it was handled grosses me out. I knew this place was no Wildfire, but we were expecting it to be better than TGI Fridays. What a waste of $125.00 bucks! Next time we'll stick with Wildfire we have yet to be disappointed there. read more

I stumbled on this restaurant by accident and I was suprised. After reading the good reviews on opentable.com I decided to try it. The restaurant is inside the embassy suites hotel. There are not visible signs for the restaurant so it is somewhat hidden. The interior of the restaurant is unique in the aspect that there are lots of plants, flowers, and trees. The cieling has to be around 100 feet high so you almost have the feeling of dining outdoors. The food was very classic and not to unique but the quality was very good. The steaks and the walleye is what we had and I would recommend these entrees to anyone. The service was exceptional. They crumbed our table through out the night and had hot towels and lemon cotton candy at the end to clear you palate. This was very different and enjoyable. We hosted our company Holiday party here in the Pepin room - I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great location/service and attentive staff that really cares, also excellent food and drinks at a reasonable price. Shannon helped me reserve the room (last minute) and was there checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Cherish was our server and she made sure water and drinks were always full, appetizers and food came out quickly and exactly as ordered. Refreshing to have such good service in today's world. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. Our waiter Jesse was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent recommendations. He was also perfectly attentive (not to much, not too little). The food was superb, with the appetizers being especially tasty (we had sea scallops and lobster ravioli). My husband had the Rib-eye steak and I had the Prime Rib. Both excellent. For dessert, my husband enjoyed the recommended bread pudding, and I enjoyed the chocolate-lover's recommended Chocolate Ganache Cake with raspberry sauce. An absolutely wonderful experience! This truly is my favorite restaurant in bloomington. The difference here is the people. everyone from the busser to the manager and chef is great. you can really tell that they care about you being here and want you to have a great experience. a lot of other places they just don't care. i'm sick of the restaurants where they just rest on being the most trendy restaurant in town. they could care less if you have a nice experience or not. This is officially my new favorite restaurant in Bloomington. I ate here a couple of times (yes, it's that good) the past two days while in town on business. The pastrami sandwich ranks as the #1 pastrami sandwich in my book. The best I've had. Very hearty, tasty. Then today for lunch, I ordered the Cuban sandwich - also delicious. They do it right here and you can't go wrong with what you order! On top of great food, the servers are fantastic. They go out their way to make sure you are happy. read more

Yes! Finally a place that has my taste for CAB steak for a good price. One of my old college friends had a lay over in Minneapolis; so I picked him up and on a whim, went to Woolley's. I am a huge carnivore and was pretty impressed with their selection of steaks. I was even more impressed with their taste. Very tender and flavorful. What used to be a favorite spot has morphed into a run-of-the-mill, mismanaged disaster. What used to be staffed by warm people has been corporately transformed into a step up from Dennys! There are so many other options in the area you would be better served taking a cab, a bus, the light rail, the embassy's shuttle to almost anything out there. The truffle fries (just regular fries with some seasoning on them) and the sweet potato fries were really undercooked and while someone had nicely charred the green beans, they had not bothered to cook them past being raw on the inside. Undercooked seems to have been the theme. I was very grateful that the bartender realized our disappointment and gave us a discount on the bill, but I could never recommend this place to anyone.

The server was a young man that was so polite and nice it really made the whole time experience amazing.

Great service, awesome wine list, delicious steaks - all in a beautiful space with great ambiance. It's attached to a classy hotel and feels very historic and wintery. For our main we shared the 6oz filet and the Shrimp Scampi. The steak was tender and cooked just as we asked. Wish it had a little more seasoning but nothing to complain about. The Scampi felt like it was lacking something. I would have thought that the mushrooms and leeks in a white wine cream sauce would have added plenty to this dish but it seemed to be a bit bland. We also ordered the asparagus with hollandaise sauce and we enjoyed it. All in all we were happy with our visit. I will definitely be back to sit at the bar for some drinks. I really appreciated their bourbon selection!

The experience at this restaurant is weird. Show up at 11am…read more- you'll have a line out the door. That is understandable, as it's peak brunch time. You talk to the front desk, and they'll tell you there's an hour wait if you don't have a reservation. You look around and see open tables. You think: "that's odd". You check on the website and it says you can get a reservation for 15, 30, and 45 minutes from now. You select a reservation for 15 minutes from now, and magically there isn't an hour wait for you anymore. You note the still open tables and the line not moving. The restaurant is very loud. They're doing late 2010's industrial chic with not a soft surface in site and garage doors, so everybody's conversation bounces around indefinitely. You wait a while for a server to come. I find the way the food looks when it arrives is always different than the way it sounds when you read the menu - sometimes for better, and sometimes for worse. The coffee and bar menu is pretty decent for a brunch place. Prices are on the high end, though some are more reasonable than others. Then you get hit with a 3% credit card fee which isn't adequately disclosed on the menu or when you enter the restaurant.

I like that this location does hh in the entire restaurant vs the Northloop one only does it in the tiny bar area. I got a hurricane for my drink. We shared chips and guac which was actually pretty good. I got the chicken sliders and a side of fries. which were interesting. They were sweet and savory. The fries were seasoned well. Overall I like the food and would definitely come back. Our server was attentive and nice. We were able to grab food fairly quick and make it to our next stop in time. Delivery was reasonably fast, as the restaurant wasn't far so the food arrived within about 35 minutes. The temperature was moderate, so just heated it up but the dish itself was fantastic; moderate amounts of clam meat and thankfully half shell clams were included. They had the clam broth on the side in a separate container which I appreciated. This allowed for you to add as much broth as you wanted to your meal. I highly recommend and am looking forward to ordering this again when I'm back in town.
