To start, the work quality exceeds expectations. What's "suspect" is the pricing process.. we start off discussing PRECISE scope of work and get a flat rate $500 quote, and to "to be determined after seeing in person"..via text. Normally this process occurs before work starts, however in this case nothing is mentioned which would infer that project scope is accurate. WRONG. Although payment terms and when it's expected is raised several times, the actual cost becomes a "surprise" with an explanation of "well, I know I quoted a flat rate but adding everything up it comes to this.." The cost goes from a FLAT rate to a PER ITEM COST, of nearly DOUBLE the original quote!!! Lacked the bandwidth to dispute, but then there's a "service" and "processing" fee.. which the explanation is ridiculous. An additional cost for the materials, I.e., screws, plastic anchors, etc.?? Please. Especially when I supplied an unopened container of light spackle and a brand new spatula blade which left with him. We paid the invoice on everything excluding these ridiculous fees.. At the end of the day, this practice is very suspect.. especially when we book this via Yelp and notice he cancels the project.. perhaps to avoid paying a fee to Yelp for our business? Again, workmanship is good.. but business practice and pricing is shaaaaddy!!! BEWARE!! read more

We needed a custom door reversed and spoke with several handymen before Cole. None of the other guys would touch the project because it was more complicated than a standard door reversal. Cole immediately understood the complexity and gave a transparent quote for the project. Cole successfully reversed the door, salvaging the frame in the process. He had to take down drywall so he put up new drywall and matched the paint perfectly. It doesn't look like it had any work done! He communicated well throughout the project as well. Sent pictures of the finished work and we were able to send him payment on zelle. the installation was of a replacement of a small AC unit but it was built into the wall and stucco so it was complicated. its unfortunate because 2 weeks ago we had paid someone else to replace the ac and they put one in that was too small and less power and they couldnt finish the job left the stucco undone in the back side. so had to pay double. wishing we would have found cole way sooner. read more

Perfect! We ordered the Skytta multi panel door kit from IKEA, which as you may know, comes with little instructions. The install was a bit complicated. Most bids came in around the same price as Cole but he was able to do the job on his own, no helper. It was impressive. He did get a bit of a scratch on the wall but he was more than willing to come out and fix it. That was nice but wasn't necessary. He was working in a small cluttered space, since we just moved it. After I decided to give Cole a try, we discussed the bathroom fan I needed replaced and what was covered on his flat rate estimate. I found it to be very reasonable. He was able to locate one of a comparable size and he arrived within 90 minutes of us agreeing to schedule on a Friday afternoon. He arrived and got to work straightaway. He said it would take about 90 minutes, but it ended up being about 2 hours. However I had a minor issue finding some good bulbs from the closet. Also the new and old fans were slightly different sizes, so he also touched up the area around the fan using some old paint I had on hand.
