Do not join this gym unless you want to constantly have to check your account statements and have to come in person multiple times just to cancel anything. I signed up for personal training sessions, and the trainer pushed me too far despite my repeatedly voiced concerns. I was sore for over a week because of her "training". I decided to cancel after the 1 year contract, but I have not been able to get in contact with anyone at this gym! I come in person, they tell me they'll have someone call me back or there's no employee to talk to at all. I try to leave a message, and the answering machine cuts off before I can finish a sentence. They WILL give you the run around whenever you try to cancel anything. Please listen to the other reviews; these business practices almost feel criminal. And look at the dates! Notice how the best reviews were left in the past! This gym isn't worth it. For the same price, you can join a crunch or a planet fitness. Professionalism does not reside here at this establishment! If I'm being completely honest I don't think this location is fundamentally a place to go to if you're a "Person of color" (POC). There's a Caucasian female that provided a very unpleasant experience for me. The representative approached me during my workout on the elliptical and stated that she reviewed the scan in's at night and had reason to believe someone had stolen my scan-in info. She showed me a picture of the African American male and asked if I knew who he was, I politely stated no! Somehow that conversation led to her stating she has to erase my profile from when I signed up and have it swapped over to the location where she was located! She stated she saw multiple scan-ins for me that same night, I advised her if she reviewed the footage correctly, she would see that I was in and out multiple times due to myself having a very bad memory and forgetting things that I would need during and after workouts, but I made sure I scanned my tag each time! She only mentioned that sign in during the time of the African American male coming in behind me. When I advised her that I signed up for this gym through Active Fit Direct, she seemed to have a very unsettling attitude towards me, even as it pertained to myself reading the disclosure that were presented to me on the electronic signing pad. As an African American Male, this made me feel very uncomfortable being that somehow no other race was targeted especially considering the fact that the gym at this location does not have a wide range of African Americans! Also, the locker rooms in these establishments are very poorly maintained, especially considering the walls in the shower are peeling and molded! This is a major health concern. ‼ Long Post Warning ‼ On Thursday, 10/21, my daughter (an active WOA member) & I arrived at the gym at approximately 8:30am, came in as another member was leaving out and I scanned my app at the desk, proceeded to the bathroom then straight for the treadmill. Midway through my treadmill session my daughter & I were approached by the manager Joe asking if we were members and if we had key cards. I informed him that I was a premium member, I normally use the app for gym access & workout at the location frequently. He stated that he didn't want any trouble (not sure what prompt this response). He asked me to stop my work out and go scan my card. I told him I wouldn't mind rescanning my app as soon as I finished on the treadmill with approximately 15 minutes remaining unless he wanted to scan it himself. He agreed to scan. I informed him that my daughter didn't have her key card but her membership was connected to mine assuming he could view both memberships from my primary account. He scanned my barcode, immediately returned my phone and walked away. I thought that was the end of it, however, I was wrong. As soon as I finished on the treadmill there was "Joe" again telling me I only had guest privileges at my home gym. Confused as to why we're speaking about guest privileges while I'm trying to work out. I informed him once again that my daughter has an actual membership - that was eventually verified. After verifying my daughter's account, I shared with him that it truly would've been greatly appreciated (especially after verifying my account) if he could've just allowed me to finish my workout and discussed the details afterwards. He starred with no response. Taken aback by the lack of acknowledgment I left the desk & proceeded to work out. My issue is that I was approached a total of 4-5 times. By the 5th time he interrupted my workout I felt like I was being harassed. I was uncomfortable, irritated & just annoyed by his inconsideration and lack of respect. He told me that I was prohibited from taking a picture of myself or filming myself any capacity. Completely annoyed by our interactions, I chuckled in disbelief & exhaled but immediately put my phone in my bag. As I'm putting my phone away, I asked if it was policy. He said it was. I said okay & made a request for him please refrain from interrupting my workout moving forward. I come the gym for a positive outlet. He replied "Yeah as long as you don't continue breaking the rules". Again, confused as to what rule I had actually broken. I replied I've already put my phone up & I'm simply asking you to respect my time & stop harassing me. At this point I'm assuming he didn't like my response & his ego was bruised. He then told me to leave the facility now and walked off. Confused, embarrassed & upset I grabbed my things and instructed my daughter to grab hers. I walked to the front desk & requested corporate's information. He refused and stated I could leave my contact information w/ him. I didn't feel comfortable w/ that because our previous interaction and the fact that he was physically shaking. We exchanged words because I felt that I was being singled out because I was black & he didn't like my position of questioning his authority. I left without any information regarding the corporate office or his superior's info. When I called to the gym to ask for management/corporate's information he was very hesitant or prolonged the process of providing the information. I'll assume he was trying to determine if it was me or just a random member. However, as I waited for the info, I asked about WOA policy & procedure on recording. During the time on the phone, he threatened me with the possibility of flagging my account w/ several violations (bringing in a guest prior to normal hours, filming/taking a picture of myself while in the gym, etc). Please remember, throughout the times he approached me he verified my premium membership, my daughter's separate membership and never actually showed me WOA's policy on recording/photos. As we wrapped things up, he basically stated that he kicked me out because he didn't like my attitude and if he feels that things could possibly escalate, he can kick me out the gym. This event alone has left me feeling afraid (due to his size and attitude), undervalued, embarrassed, hurt and uncomfortable with visiting other Workout Anytime Franchises who are not familiar with my face. I am a respected mother, wife & business owner who is immensely loved by my family, friends and staff. I would never want to place myself in a situation or environment where I'm not valued or I feel the color of my skin prompts someone to continuous question or harass me. Times are way too sensitive to be placed to have these types of interactions especially at a place when I go to get away. ‼ I posted a review on Google and the company's response lacked any accountability and was full of lies. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE . I must share... I was able to lease space at this facility for 2 years, to provide my personal training services in this location. In November 2021, this location was purchased by Virginia and Todd, Owners of Workout Anytime. They allowed me to continue my business through the end of the year, December 2021. I was able to continue my services for 60 days during the transition. Virginia and Todd was well aware of my arrangements with the previous owners. I paid a monthly rent that covered my cost as well as all my clients payments for using the gym. My clients did not have any agreements nor arrangements with the gym. The owners, Virginia and Todd stated that they will cancel and remove my ALL my clients from their system on December 31 2021. It was a clear understanding that Virginia will remove all 53 of my clients. She had a list of all my clients, she actually took my folder with my client names/list in it. After several conversations, this was supposed to been resolved months ago. It's is now 6 months later, and Virginia and Todd has decided to send all my clients letters, or call all my clients, stating that they need to pay $176 to have their names removed from the system. Are they serious right now? My clients do not have any agreements with Workout Anytime. As owners, that's totally unacceptable and so be little of you to do such a thing. I will reach out to your corporate office. I will also reach out to as many people as possible. I will contact other "Workout Anytime"owners to have this issue resolved. If this is the Workout Anytime that recently changed their name from East Village Fitness, I've got the right one. New ownership spiffed things up a little but added unnecessary bikes when I wish they would have added a hip thrust machine (don't know technical name). There's a trainer (big with a beard) who encourages his clients very loudly to the detriment of everyone else, so if you don't want to hear him (even w headphones on), don't go in the afternoon (which is when I usually see him training people). You'd think he had the place to himself and the client. Other than that, if you don't have a home gym, it's a nice little gym at a great price. The Workout Anywhere Roswell Road location shut down and now will not let my mom out of her contract citing they "moved." The location they claim to have moved to (Powers Ferry) is not new. Her location closed. She chose her location because it was less than a mile from her home. In fact, when she signed up, they gave her the option to sign up to use the Roswell Road location only or to also use their other locations. She specifically chose to use just the Roswell Rd location. Do the right thing, operate with integrity, and let her out of her contract. read more

This location was formerly known as East Cobb Village Fitness. Since bought out by WOA, they have made some adjustments to the equipment available. All in all, not a terrible spot but the Men's locker room needs some serious attention. Very limited locker space, some of the lockers are missing/have damaged doors. Stacked mats that have been there for months take up space and there is only one tiny bench to use. read more

This gym was good the first two years I joined after that it went downhill. The machines are not taken care of. When the batteries on the clock die they take them down to replace the battery and you will not see the clock again for 3 months. They almost never have hand sanitizer. I understand we're in a pandemic but you can buy hand sanitizer almost every now. I have complained many times but it does not matter. Nothing changes. The staff is nice and polite , but the equipment sucks! So if your thinking about joining be prepared . It's so easy to take care of the problems all they need to do is spray some of the pipes on some of the machines but the problem is nobody cares to do it. read more

This location of Workout Anytime just opened in August of 2015. I anticipate I'll write an updated review after I've been here a while, but so far I've had good early impressions. Working night shift, I needed a supplemental gym with 24 hour convenience. I don't need it to have every bell and whistle, just enough to get a decent workout in when my regular gym is closed. And this Workout Anytime delivers on its premise. Fees & Membership: Depending on when you enroll, there may or may not be a fee. I did it during the pre-sale, so it was waived for me. I think it's in the $90-$100 range normally, but there are supposed to be specials throughout the year, so watch out for that. In addition, there is a one time card fee of $20. This gives you the keycard you use to swipe in the building (at any location nationwide). Next, there is a $30 annual fee. This will repeat every year roughly around the month when you initially joined. Finally, there are two levels of memberships you can chose: 1) The basic $15/month or 2) premium $25. I think the latter includes some tanning, massage machine, and extra guest privileges. I was also told of an option to pay a year in advance and save some money as well. Ain't nobody got dough for that! Employees: I mostly dealt with Virginia. She gave me a tour, answered my questions, and treated me with respect. I'm not your average gym goer though, I'm sure she could tell from my questions. So there wasn't an attempt to up-sell or fluff up the sales pitch. She was straightforward and told me what I wanted to know up front. As an FYI to people less familiar with gyms, Workout Anytime uses ABC Financial for their contracts. So be aware of the cancellation policies. You'll have to give at least one month in advance, pay for that month, and possibly have to call and/or write to the company. Minor hassle, but I've seen reviews of other gyms where people seemed to be caught off guard by this. Facility: It's brand new, so of course it's clean. In fact, they're not done setting up all the equipment. There's still some blank spots for future machines. As of right now though, it has a good selection of equipment. When you enter, there's cardio ally, full of treadmills, elipticals, and bikes, but also a few row machines and stair masters. Towards the back is a limited free weights section. Again, not surprising for a smaller gym to be limited. Virginia told me they do this on purpose to minimize risk of injury for the average gym goer who, honestly, is mostly clueless on proper form. The dumbbells go up to 85 pounds, and there's only one Olympic bar, and that's on the bench press. Everything else is machines, albeit modern ones. There are way more upper body machines than lower body ones, probably a 2:1 ratio. And yes, there is one Smith Machine, but if you're reading this review, please try to avoid using it. It'll do more harm than good. There's a small locker room for each gender, with lockers, bathroom stalls, and shower. I only saw one water fountain so far. I had my first workout there today, and it's good for a "pump" type workout. I doubt you could do serious strength training there, but again, I'm using the facility for a supplement to my normal gym (Marietta Barbell, for those interested). For the purpose of giving you 24 hour access to a respectable selection of machines, and for the bargain $15/month, I'm definitely a fan. read more

My husband and I visit this gym because it's convenient to our home and open 24 hours. However there are several issues with the work out anytime franchise That are not addressed by the owners or corporation. During off hours, many people without a membership sneak into the gym. Additionally many members bring nonmembers when the gym employees are not working. The staff does not review the cameras so the ruler s Continue to be broken broken. There have been several instances where a member brings in multiple friends without memberships and we have to wait around for equipment that nonmembers are using.With that being said, the gym is constantly in need of more employees to maintain cleanliness and Organization. Each hour the gym should be walked through by an employee to re-organize equipment, wipe down any dirty machines, restock the bathroom and check the trash cans. Unfortunately this is not done as often as it should be. Rather the employee(s) are constantly on their phones or engaging in long conversation with members.instead, we see several members of the gym organizing the equipment, a responsibility the staff should uphold. The use of cell phones to make personal calls while working out or listening to music and watching audio/video on a personal device without headphones should be prohibited. It is a complete disturbance and distraction to other members attempting to enjoy their work out. The gym does not have this protocol and it is unfortunately put on the members to confront others when this happens, putting them in an awkward position. If it was not for the 24 hour open policy, I would not be a member of this facility. They constantly offer everybody different rates to join, some contracts and some not. When you request to cancel they make you go through a third-party vendor via a an 800 number. Although they tighten it up front when you join, they lead you to believe it is very easy to do, but don't let them fool you. I liked this gym until the manager Virginia tried to rip me off. Never get a trainer from there cause when you get hurt and you report it and put your 30 days notices in they don't like to respond back to you even after you have sent off the 30 day notice letter. They like to harass you over the phone and the manager Virginia likes to blocked you from calling her when you are trying to pay your bill. That's bad business for their company, but the trainer that I did have was awesome till she couldn't have her way but I won't put his business out there just know he was a very good trainer and Donna is amazing at the front desk I love her as well and I have no complaints with her. She will help you if she can and is a great listener. This gym isn't too bad but also isn't too great and here's why; it seems like once I get used to the staff, they change it up and have new people in there! I hate it. I am not sure where the staff I've grown to like goes, but it's annoying none the less. I once had a (new?) staff member (that'd I'd never seen before) interrupt my cardio session to ask if I planned on doing any weight training today & what my goals were. Ummm hello my goal is to get through this cardio session without being interrupted. Could they not have asked these questions when I walked in or before I left? The vibe in this gym changes when the higher ups come in & usually after they've been there is when I soon see a change in staff . On the plus side the tanning bed is of great quality! The hydromassage is just okay, nothing special. I do wish there was more space in the gym in front of the mirrors to actually workout, it gets congested in that area super fast! STAY AWAY! Worst gym - anywhere, ever. My "free introductory workout" trainer showed me two exercises (incorrectly) and then tried to shame and pressure me into buying an outrageously expensive personal training package. People who don't know what they are doing could get really hurt here. Also, there are MASSIVE hidden fees in the contract that they don't mention. READ CAREFULLY, and be sure not to allow them to automatically access your bank account, even though they give you a 'discount' for it (for obvious reasons). These people are incredibly unprofessional, dishonest, and clearly all about the money (not health, not fitness, and surely not long-term success). Read the reviews for the franchise - not good. Quaint little gym. Not the biggest place, but just the right size for a homely feel. It's got some neat equipment I haven't found in other gyms. Additionally, for what you get, $15 a month for basics, or $25 for the premium membership is excellent pricing. Doesn't hurt that their music selections are to my liking. I typically never write reviews for any place I go to, but I have never been so dissatisfied with any company before in my life. I truly do not want anyone to go through what I have gone through with this gym. I joined the gym in August of 2016, and although I think the membership fees are a little pricey for what you actually get at this tiny gym, I am more upset with the personal training services. I signed a 1 year contract for a personal trainer, and was told that I would pay the first month and last month up front, and then there would be a monthly fee. They told me , however that I would have to cancel my personal training at the end of my contract, or it would rollover and continue to charge me monthly. I tried to cancel this contract multiple times. I talked to Donna, one of the managers, who proceeded to tell me that she has nothing to do with personal training, and that I would have to deal with them to cancel it. Whenever I asked to speak to a personal trainer to help me with cancellation or upper management, she told me, "no, I could not." She said she was the only person there. This happened on the phone and in person multiple times. I find it odd that a gym who offers personal training services never had a personal trainer at the gym this many times, and the fact that she could never give me a number to call someone who could actually help me. She also was very rude to work with, and seemed very frustrated that I wanted to now cancel my gym membership and my personal training services. She told me how to cancel my gym membership with the letter of 30 days notice, and then finally said, "just write a letter of cancellation to the address on the personal trainer contract and that should cancel it, but that has nothing to do with our gym," although at the top of the contract it says Workout Anytime Personal Training. I sent my letters of cancellation, and the letter to cancel my personal training was returned to me like 2 weeks later. I feel like it was not even a legitimate address, and that this is all a scam, and why nobody seemed to be able to help me. I finally disputed this with my bank, and got some money back. The gym kept emailing me saying I owed more and more money, and at this point it is 2-3 months after I went through this whole cancellation process. I emailed them back explaining all the steps I had taken, and that I had done everything correctly on my end, and everything I was told to do, and that I would not be paying them anymore money. I never got a response back, and I did not get an email since Nov. 2017. This month, June 2018, I was called by a collections agency saying I owed a large amount of money. I never got mail or any type of notice of this. All of this to say, they make it hard enough to get out of a regular gym membership but impossible to get out of a personal training contract. Please do not join this gym, or you will lose a ton of money and gain no benefit. read more

Billing issues have caused me to be so dissatisfied with this club. Called to put my membership on hold in February, they processed it over the phone, said it would be $5/month for 3 month hold from March-May. The next month was billed full amount of $25, even though I paid $5 a few days before the due date. After calling more than once a week for all of March, being told repeatedly they have resolved it, just give it 5-10 business days to update on their billing company's end, April came and I was billed same full amount. Called the billing company today since I couldn't get anywhere with the club. The rep emailed someone and called and left a message at the club. She called me back personally later today and said the gym called them on 3/18 and said I had to give a 30 day notice and because I called to put on hold about a week before my next due date, I had to pay full dues for March and then they would be "happy" to do the hold for April-June. I called and even went in person to the club and NO ONE mentioned any of that, as well as when I called to put it on hold (which I was later informed was not the correct process but they would fix it) the paperwork stated the 30 day notice. Why it has taken 30+ days to clarify this, despite my multiple calls to resolve, the many unreturned phone calls from messages I left, or empty promises to "call right back and clear it up", I am unsure. I called the club and was once again promised a call right back to clear it up. The billing company said I could pay the remaining $20 due for March, then the hold would be effective. I plan to do this and just cancel my membership. Customer service and the handling of this whole thing is a mess. I am sure cancelling this membership will be another 2 month process. If you plan to stay forever with this club, go ahead and join, but if you ever want to get out of billing or cancel, expect a headache. read more
