Started going here about a year ago, and a few months later signed up for a free training session…read more I didn't think much of it, but I wasn't really getting anything from my workouts so I decided to make a change and take the plunge. I'm so glad I did. Chris W is my trainer, I go early in the morning and start my day off with intense training at 6am. It makes everything else I do the rest of the day seem so easy. I've also made a nice group of like minded friends I would have never met if it wasn't for this!! The change I've noticed in my body overall is way more than I could have imagined. Not only do I see a huge difference in my appearance, so do my friends and family. I'm so excited to see how much stronger I can get, and watch my body transform into something powerful, and to be quite honest, H.O.T!! My confidence and self esteem have grown and I'm loving the way I feel. Thanks to Chris W my trainer, Christopher for signing me up, and Caleb for always checking in and helping out with any membership questions I have.

Instead, they blast music in the personal training area to compete with the music already playing throughout the gym. When you complain, they tell you that it's a corporate policy to play the music that loud. When I contacted corporate, they said it was at the GM's discretion. The one fat personal trainer loves to pretend he owns the gym and has tried to kick people out for working out in that personal training area during sessions. Nowhere in the contract does it state that any areas are off-limits during any hours. They're also frequently out of wipes to wipe down the equipment. A solution could be for them to provide towels. Might be cheaper than buying disposable wipes. Also, they seem to not care when people leave their weights everywhere. The only reason I didn't give them 1 star is because the staff at the front are always friendly. They greet you and bid you farewell as you leave.

For months, the bathrooms have been revolting: toilets frequently overflow, sewage and filth get tracked across the locker rooms and even into the turf and workout areas, creating a clear health risk. Showers often lack hot water entirely or provide only inconsistent warmth, while the hot tub has been out of service or barely lukewarm for just as long. Members have repeatedly reported these exact issues--through the app, emails, and directly to staff--yet nothing improves. Maintenance requests sit "in progress" for nearly two months, with empty promises of fixes that never materialize. Staff seem indifferent or unresponsive, and the overall decline continues despite the membership dues we pay. Expecting basic cleanliness, reliable hot water, and a hygienic environment isn't asking too much--it's the absolute minimum any gym should provide. If you're thinking about joining this location, look elsewhere until they finally take member complaints and basic upkeep seriously. This place has gone downhill fast, and it's obvious that cleanliness and accountability aren't priorities here. Disgusted and extremely disappointed--1 star is being generous.

It literally does not make sense except as a means to get more memberships. This kind of underhanded, lying greedy practices should not be rewarded (this hurts as someone from L.A.!) Standardbearer of what amenities and services a gym should have: pool, changing rooms, saunas, cycling room, dance hall, gym, plenty of machines, and a personal training area. The staff is friendly enough and the instructors energetic and fun at what they do. Only star demerit is that it has no smoothie stand and its design is too suburban-oriented - it will ever not be absurd that people drive to the gym instead of bike and walk.

I enjoy paddle boarding and running and this pain made these things difficult. My mind of course went to worst case scenario...."I'm not going to be able to be as active, I'm going to have some kind of knee surgery...I can't take off work..."on and on. I've always enjoyed yoga, but hadn't been able to find a studio that I truly enjoyed, so when I came across Thee House of Yoga's and also Jenna's message on her page I was sold. I signed up for a few classes and let me tell you....after a couple weeks of Jenna and Michaela's classes...I had ZERO knee pain. I hadn't even expected this benefit! I sincerely believe that their classes and instruction fixed whatever was going on with my knee, in addition to making me feel more connected mind and body. I look forward to every practice; each one challenging and refreshing. Jenna's instruction is by far the best I've encountered and her space is beautiful. I am so grateful for having found Thee House of Yoga!

Joining a gym was not appealing, so I decided private training sessions would be worth the investment to successfully support my health and weight management goals. I was grateful to find Pilates and Fitness in Powell, and when I met the owner...I was sold. Sarah is my training angel! She's an incredibly knowledgeable trainer who is focused, smart, funny and kind. Her deep understanding of exercise and the body's reaction to movement continues to amaze me. She's non-judgmental and simply wants to help her clients be and do their best. My 1:1 workouts with Sarah are designed for my abilities and goals and are varied, appropriately challenging, and interesting. I quickly gained confidence and she was able to accommodate and support some physical issues that remained from a major surgery. I do both Pilates (on a real Reformer, love it) and fitness workouts during the same session. Sarah walks the talk--she's in phenomenal shape herself but understands that after a certain age (ahem) bodies do change. I've been training with Sarah for the last year and a half and can't recommend her highly enough.

LA fitness is one of the more pricy gyms I've belonged to…read more With their $30-$42 price tag (idk why some customers have cheaper memberships than I) at this location you receive access to all of their amenities: full basketball court, plethora of cardio equipment to choose from, sauna, steam room, lap pool, squat racks, free weights, and more! One of my favorite feature at this gym is their personal training equipment. I don't pay for the personal training but I enjoy using some of their equipment in the "personal training" area. Unfortunately, recently staff member have been ripping off the personal training area and disallowing regular members to use the personal training area. I understand members that pay for that service want to use the equipment without others interfering... but perhaps get more equipment in the stretching area so regular members can use certain equipment without interfering with the personal training. If I'm paying $42/month for gym access... I should be allowed to use all the equipment. Just a thought... This gym is pretty clean. Before Covid I was there every day. Most days I saw staff members mopping and cleaning certain areas. The studio could use some more daily cleaning... that room, honestly, it seems like they might only clean that room once or twice a month. I've never personally seen it cleaned or mopped... and there's always hair and debris on the floor when I do yoga. Occasionally, you might come across some equipment that needs to be repaired but in my experience they're pretty good about fixing it with in a few days. One thing I will say, the ladies locker room smells great half the time... other days it's pretty terrible. I would recommend this gym, or at least, this location. I went to a LA back in NJ and I had many problems with broken equipment, personal trainer using drugs/not showing up for sessions, etc. But these problems were at a different location. I still enjoy LA for my workouts.

Their remarks are highly unprofessional and I will never go to a gym that employs people that make fun of people and talk about them to other members. Additionally, Christine comes in hung over regularly and Trey arrives high and while there, he is busy vaping outside. The trainer(s) are not questionable at best. Save your money...don't bother with LA Fitness. Planet Fitness and Eos are much better options.
