My review to Zaks auto:…read more I brought my vehicle to this shop for an oil change, brake fluid flush, and other maintenance before a Porsche Club of America (PCA) track event. They also performed their complimentary PCA tech inspection, which is advertised as a thorough inspection. I specifically asked that all vehicle fluids be inspected before the event. During the track day, my car suffered a power steering failure that left me stranded. I had to call my regular mechanic to the track to repair the car so I could get it home, resulting in a significant repair bill and a lost track day. They offered no support or reparations. When I first contacted the shop, their response was simply, "You brought the vehicle to a track. We aren't liable." It was only after multiple phone calls that they acknowledged the power steering fluid had appeared discolored while the car was in their shop all day, but they never communicated that to me. I understand that track cars can fail. My issue isn't the failure--it's the lack of communication. I specifically asked for the fluids to be inspected, and the shop later admitted they noticed discolored power steering fluid but chose not to mention it. Had they done so, I would have serviced the system before the event. I've included photos of the power steering fluid taken after the failure and during the repair. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop if you're relying on them to prepare your car for a track event.

I am clueless when it comes to this sort of thing and when the dealership provided me with "urgent" repairs required (freaking me out - didn't even want to drive it from the fear they placed in me) for more $$ than the value of my car, George's to the rescue! They squeezed me in to their schedule and it was like a serious doctors appointment. We reviewed the issues together with them educating me and mapped out a plan of attack. My first repair was $333 vs $5000. A month later, I did the second which was $430. Not only do I feel safe driving my car, but have found a garage that I intend to use forever! So I tell the mechanic about what was going on with the car and he tells me he knows what's wrong it's a battery,and needs spark plugs? Ok. Wants full payment up front. Ok. I also got used tires from him and paid cash for them. So he doesn't give me a estimate or anything and just does the work which took about a month to complete after I paid him in full first. Now I'm thinking he definitely did a diagnosis test to it first that told him it was the battery and plugs that was causing the issues right. I get the car back had it for 1 hour it broke down 3 times same issue and I finally get it back to him and he says well now I got to put the computer on it to see what the problem is and I said why didn't u do that first like your supposed to. He said I thought I knew what it was and goes to tell me the computer says it's running rich and he wants another 300.00 to do a smog test to find out the issue. Now he already charged me around 1200.00 for the prior work that he guessed at doesn't other a refund for putting parts I didn't need in my car and know wants to charge me more and it's just to see the issues with it. So I got upset this is 2 months now dealing with the back and forth then when I wanted a refund he told me if I'm not going to pay more money to fix it then he's charging me 35.00 a day for storage fees. Which is just not right. I paid him my card not fixed and he's now he won't give my car back to me. Even after he's paid for the wrong work done to my car. I'm in the middle of getting lawyers involved. He pretends to care about you until he gets paid and then he just tries to get as much money as he can out of you. I watched these men yell at a woman because she informed them that somebody else had spelt a little…read morebit of gas and that they might want to know to clean it up so after yelling at her, I said I'm sorry I actually don't know what pump a map but it's the one next to five. The guy looks at me and goes SO SIX, and my response was yeah I guess so. I wasn't sure if it was sixth of the one right next to it was six because I can't see that far and the guy who's working with him who was also the other man yelling at the woman looks at me and goes yeah well it's your responsibility to know and I was like wow guy it's not that deep and he goes well. It is that deep if you're gonna give my guy attitude, I said your guy just yelled at me and you both just yelled at the woman who is ahead of me so I'm supposed to feel comfortable walking in here as a female as an absolutely fucking not. I will never be back again. Mind you I go here every single day for gas during work
