I haven't been here for years, and I came in to find a certain type of international candy. They had it! They've got a lot of different stuff. They have all kinds of housewares, they have furniture, they have beer and wine, and a very large food section. They have all kinds of foods and candies from around the world, with specific section of Chinese food items. I got a coffee, crisp, which you can't get here in the US, it's a chocolate bar with a chocolate/mocha covered vanilla wafers in the middle. It's delicious. You can taste the coffee but it doesn't overwhelm the chocolate. They play very well together. I got some knoppers, chocolate covered wafers, that also has a milk/hazelnut filling in the middle I fell in love with those the first time my partner introduced me to them. When I found them at this store, I was thrilled I also got some original Cadbury. The Cadbury they sell here in the USA, is made by Hershey's. It's OK, but it's nothing like the original that comes from the UK. You can definitely taste the difference. A great store. I will be back to refill my "candy stash." thank you read more

I always have a lot of fun browsing World Market. It's been a favorite spot to browse since I was a kid and it still lives up to the memories. They have homegoods and furniture, candy, snacks, ingredients, beer, wine, and so much more. It's a good mix of international items, staple items, and trendy options. Depending on what you're looking for you can find some really great deals and they have sales and clearance items that can save you even more. This location has a good amount of parking and was well stocked and organized. The staff was friendly while we were checking out and we were able to find what we were looking for plus much more. read more

Did curbside pickup. 6 glass bottles of lorina lavender drink. They did not even put paper between them. Listened to them clank against each other for 15 miles. A store that sells wine and liquor does not have an appropriate box for glass jars. Only came to this store because the Roseville store was out of stock. At least that store puts them in an appropriate box with dividers. read more

World Market is one of my favorite places to shop. I love looking at the merchandise, especially the holiday items. I also enjoy finding great bargains on holiday merchandise after the holidays. Recently, I stopped in to see if I could find some decor for my fireplace mantle. The mantle was looking a little sad after all the Christmas decor had come down, so I wanted to perk it up a bit. I found a faux succulent arrangement in a ceramic pot, and two art glass tea light holders that were perfect for my display. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The cashier, Jim, went above and beyond to help me by reminding me of some email deals that had just been released. And then he very carefully wrapped my delicate tea light holders. This is the type of service that keeps you coming back, for sure. read more

Came in here the other day looking for Burt's potato chips from England. Had these while on a recent trip to Canada. They had them. A little pricey, but I expected that, Don't know if I'll be spending a lot of money here in the future, but a nice place to browse around for some home furnishings. This place is so cool..The store is well kept the bathrooms are super clean. The parking is plentyful..and the store is filled with international goodies..Of course ec world market has their famous huge wine selection and chocolates yum...,but they also have really cool wall art furniture and even more..I enjoy walking through this store and always finding new cool things like the assorted of Ted Lasso stuff how cool is that..Also all the cool hot sauces and international Candie's..yum..They have high end dishes and tableware..We ending up getting the old school new York seltzers ..how fun how cool...and wait for it yummy...The service was outstanding as well they helped us with all questions and got us out in a split with the cashiers..This place is fun and really has all the cool things you need " want" for your home.. read more

This is a very unique place to shop for gifts and housewares. The prices can be a little steep and the only way to receive coupons is by signing up as a rewards member (it's free). Come here to browse when you have some time and are not at all in a hurry. I found A LOT of unique stocking stuffers, cooking related items, unique international foods and plenty of items that can be combined to make gift baskets with a theme. A couple of winners on my list: -addison & gates Shower Steamer set $9.99 -unique looking bottle of italian sparkling wine (holiday decorated bottle) on sale for $11 -large tree ring cutting board that can be hung on the wall when not in use (practical & beautiful) $29.99 -Large selection of international vegan food items (for gift basket for a vegan chef) -a coconut yogurt making kit for $26 -lots of wall art/decor that looks unique, not mass produced and reasonably priced. Just left World Market and a lovely young gentleman helped me even though I was in the wrong store to pick up merchandise that neither of us could find and he was just so gracious and helpful and figured out the problem and sold me what I wanted and told me how to cancel the other order. Terrible communication from store management. I wanted to purchase an item and the assistant manager refused to sell it. He could not explain why or why it's on the sales floor but he was told by his own manager not to sell it to me. This was an item that was ON HOLD until 9/8/23 and today is 9/10/23 and per their posted signage, if not picked up and purchased by the customer, it needs to return to the sales floor in 48 hours. I asked why it was not labeled as sold if it was "sold" and he said he could not tell me. I asked why it's not in the sold section of the store, why is it on the sales floor? He could not respond. I wasted so much time traveling back and forth twice to buy it only to be told it cannot be sold and can't explain why. Manager refused to speak with me to explain the situation with the item and just told the gentleman in front to me to refuse the sale. This is very strange behavior. What store doesn't want to sell their products? Is this how they sell their inventory? read more

I love this World Market!! Everyone here is so sweet, so nice to talk to and treat you like a friend rather than just a customer! They always have cool gifts/ activities like free ornaments or cookie cutters with any purchase, if you're signed up for their rewards!! For the month of November they hid gnomes all over the store and whoever found them got $20 and up to spend in the store! It's awesome, in my opinion, and this was the first World Market I went to and definitely going to be one of my favs to stop by! read more

My husband and I bought our first house and now I realize why Mom spent so much time at this chain store! They have amazing and reasonably priced furniture, decor, Knick knacks etc. I could spend hours in this store but my wallet won't let me. The staff here is amazing and so helpful! We came here when they were having a 40% off furniture sale! I bought my dining table here for around $400 (with a 40% off coupon). I'm so in love with it! We also put a matching coffee table on rain check. So they took down my name and number and will call me when they get the coffee table in stock. I just came in to buy about $5000 worth of stuff at a minimum and couldn't get anybody to come out of the back to help. I don't know what these people are doing while getting paid but you should probably fire them. I will be shopping elsewhere. Love this store~ Should come here less often cuz I end up buying something every time I come here. They have unique snacks, affordable dining ware, and cute seasonal decorations. I highly recommend getting wine/beer glasses, most of them are under $5! Their Home decor decoration choices are endless, and change seasonally. The snacks here are super yummy too, I usually get the crackers~ They also have wine/beer, selection is pretty similar to bevmo. I recently bought a black farm style table for our new home. We didn't assemble it for a couple months after moving and quickly realized it just didn't jive with the space. I called to see if it'd be worthwhile to bring it in for a return. The guy on the phone wasn't too helpful as said I'd need to speak with the district manager when he was back from vacation. I also realized my tables and chairs all went on mega sale! I decided to go talk to the manager. Luckily is was Jannelle. She was beyond helpful in looking up my receipts and getting me the difference. I even bought a new table. Jannelle was knowledgeable about the policies but also human. This is the Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium for adults. Food, furniture, wine, jewelry, candy, toys, kitchen stuff, coffee, a variety of chocolate that makes you feel the love and just plain ol' fun "junk". I love it that they have things from different countries from the foods to that fun "junk" I mentioned earlier. The soaps are one of my favorite things in there. A friend of mine purchased this bar of soap from Portugal and I fell in love with it. They didn't have anymore at this particular store so they called around and located 14 bars total at different stores. They were all Purchased for ME!!! Now I smell all fresh and Portuguese (I am kidding). The wine selection is pretty interesting too. All sorts of weird names and choices. I just did an online return and the employee and manager (both makes) treated me like I was doing something dishonest. I had emails to prove that the items were delivered to me and they were still rude. I'm also upset because when you return an item you lose the coupon/reward that you used on the other purchase. This store is one of those places where I walk in non-commitedly (is that a word?) and then I walk out with a bag full of things that I "needed". This location always has at least three carafes of tea or coffee and a sampling station. Sometimes its chocolates, sometimes its potato chips, sometimes its cookies. It's all good. Cost Plus has a great wine selection and they also carry...drum roll...Bundaberg Ginger Beer! Hooray! Straight from Queensland, Australia. They now have Vegemite (aka "axle grease") and Tim Tam's (delicious chocolate-coated sandwich cookies), which go by the name Arnott's Biscuits in the US. Last season I bought a set of stackable mosaic outdoor tables. They were clearanced to something ridiculous, like $29 or something for the set! You can't beat that with a stick. With the furniture however, it's pricier than IKEA and I'm not too sure on the quality. Keep an eye out for the occasional coupons that come out. Most of the time it is $10 off a purchase of $30. Now with a deal like that going on, you can stock up on lots of Toblerone chocolates! read more

If I could give 0 stars to this store for customer service I would!!! I have already contacted corporate regarding my experience today!! The young store associate was absolutely vile and rude!! Unfortunately did not catch his name but he was early 20"s dark unkempt hair and glasses his manager however is James who stood by and did absolutely nothing as this inconsiderate sales boy treated me like dirt, I have traveled the world and encountered many different experiences regarding sales and this boy needs to be taught better manners towards people in general but especially in his work place !!! If it weren't for customers he wouldn't have a job !! And shame on his Manager for allowing it!!! read more

The young girl checking me out was asking him a question and he spoke to her so rudely. She was helping me with a price adjustment and needed some help. I was so embarrassed for her! I never can resist passing by a World Market, especially in the fall and holiday season. Call me old fashioned, but there's something so charming about putting together a few festive odds and ends to make a home more homey! I like this particular location and the one in Folsom probably because it's never jam packed overcrowded like my home location in LA. I can take a little time and not fight over cards, candles, and ornaments. They always have my favourite coffee in stock. :) Usually I visit here when I come up to see my MIL who lives nearby. It's always a fun trip because I find a nice soap or candle to bring back to her house and share. (She's into the antibacterial stuff that kills my hands! I like the old fashioned stuff my self-lol) They have a really great selection of wine and Euro- snacks, as well as picnic baskets, so what are you waiting for? Get out there and have a party!!! TIP: Sign up online for their 'explorer club' and when you buy coffee, you'll get double Points per bag on Wednesdays! Only 6 bags and you get a freebie! I had never heard of this place and it was in a location that made it hard to notice but I went in with some friends that had been there in search of exotic beers. They not only had a unique selection of those (build your own 6 pack!) but also a unique selection of everything! Seriously, they have all kinds of interesting things. I ended up getting Siracha popcorn, hard cider, a to go pack of nutella and dipping sticks, and a Ritter chocolate bar in addition to numerous exotic beers. Will definitely be back here. read more

Purchased a wall unit bookcase online. Received sooner than expected which was great, but their driver was alone and the unit came in two VERY LARGE boxes clearly marked TEAM LIFT REQUIRED (over 6 ft long and over 150lbs!). My elderly husband had to help unload the extremely heavy boxes as the driver would not have been able to do it alone. This is irresponsible on the part of the employer just in terms of employee safety. Not too mention customer safety! Luckily no one was hurt. After unboxing the pieces we noticed one very large piece had some damage to it, which was unsightly but still usable, so we called and negotiated a discount with a very lovely customer service rep who was pleasant and helpful. The following day, as we were assembling the unit, we discovered another piece with even more damage, making that piece completely unusable. I called the customer service line again expecting to get the same great, friendly help I had received the day before, but boy was I mistaken! Rose was SO RUDE to me! I couldn't even finish my sentence to tell her what the problem was before she was cutting me off to tell me that I had already received a discount the prior day. THREE TIMES she interrupted me mid-sentence to rudely tell me what she thought she already knew. I then had to get loud with her and ask her to please let me finish my sentence so that she could hear what the issue was. By this point Rose really had an attitude with me and put me on hold to talk to her manager. When she came back she was still short and abrupt with me and made me feel as if I was the one in the wrong. Since I was already given a discount, they could not send me a replacement part for this completely broken piece. This was not a satisfactory conclusion to this transaction. I was left feeling belittled and bullied. Not a happy camper. Get Rose some training in listening to your customers and making them feel heard and appreciated! Also, send your drivers in teams before someone gets seriously injured and you have a lawsuit on your hands! read more
